Rosslyn is an unincorporated community in Powell County, Kentucky, United States. A post office was established at Rosslyn in 1898, and remained in operation until 1917. The community most likely was named for the roses near the original town site.

Stanton Airport (FAA LID: I50) is a public airport located one mile (1.6 km) east of the central business district (CBD) of Stanton, a city in Powell County, Kentucky, United States. It covers 69 acres (280,000 m2) with two runways which see over 2500 planes a year. The airport currently is undergoing renovations and is expected to be completed in 2007, with an additional hangar for three aircraft and an on-site flight school and airframe/mechanic school.

Stanton is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Powell County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 3,251 in the 2020 census. Stanton is the birthplace of Hall of Fame thoroughbred horse trainer Woody Stephens.

Furnace Mountain (temple name Kwan Se Um San Ji Sah) is an American Zen Buddhist retreat center in Clay City, Kentucky, co-founded in 1986 by Seung Sahn Soen Sa Nim and Dae Gak Soen Sa Nim as part of the international Kwan Um School of Zen; it is now unaffiliated with the school in an official capacity. In 1990 the main Meditation Hall was completed, and in 1994 the temple was constructed and opened. Kwan Se Um San Ji Sah is modeled after a traditional Korean Buddhist Temple—located on 850 acres (263 ha) of woods in part of The Daniel Boone National Forest (in The Red River Gorge area). The exact site of Kwan Se Um San Ji Sah was determined by the use of geomantic divination, which was intended to help foster harmony. The Abbot and guiding teacher is Dae Gak Zen Master.

WBFC (1470 AM) is a Christian radio station licensed to Stanton, Kentucky, United States, playing a southern gospel format. The station is currently owned by Kentucky Mountain Bible College and features programming from Salem Media Group and Moody Radio.

Piggville is an unincorporated community in Powell County, Kentucky, United States.

The Clay City National Bank Building, located on 6th Ave. in Clay City, Kentucky, was built in 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It is a two-story brick building, 28 by 65 feet (8.5 m × 19.8 m) in plan. Its front is three bays wide. It has served as the Red River Historical Museum. It was noted to be "one of the few nineteenth-century buildings to survive in Clay City and the most substantial early structure remaining on the main thoroughfare of the town."

Clay City is a home rule-class city in Powell County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,193 at the 2020 census.

Pilot Knob State Nature Preserve is located in Powell County, Kentucky, USA. It is a 1,257.93 acre nature preserve in Eastern Kentucky. A 730-foot (220 m) outcrop, known as Pilot Knob, is believed to be the place where legendary frontiersman Daniel Boone and his companion John Finley first looked out over the area in 1769. It is owned and managed by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves.

Kimbrell is an unincorporated community located in Estill County, Kentucky, United States. Its post office is closed.

Camargo is a home rule-class city in Montgomery County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 1,020 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Mount Sterling Micropolitan Statistical Area. The town was named by soldiers returning from the Mexican–American War, either in honor of Camargo in Mexico or a Mexican entertainer of that name. The post office was established in 1848 and closed in 1963.

Estill County High School is a public high school located in Irvine, Kentucky, United States. The school mascot is the Engineers, with the school colors being blue, white, and black. It is the only high school in Estill County, Kentucky. In 2021–2022 educational year, there were a total of 630 students attending Estill County High School. Estill County High School is also a participant in Madison County Schools' Ignite Academy.
