Congregation Tifereth Israel, officially Tifereth Israel Anshaei Greenport, is an unaffiliated Jewish congregation and historic synagogue, located at 519 Fourth Street in Greenport, Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, in the United States.

Historic Films Archive is a stock footage library operating from New York. It owns the rights to an extensive collection of television and film footage dating back to 1895. Its library includes all genres of American Music on film and video and historic archive footage derived from American Newsreels, Feature Films, Industrial shorts, home movies, out-takes and cartoons.

It contains a large, dense collection of largely unchanged structures from about 1750 to the 1930s. It includes a simple 18th and 19th century settlement period house, a large representative mixture of mid- to late-19th century residential design, a small Main Street commercial district, and architecturally distinctive churches and institutional buildings.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

WSUF (89.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to Noyack, New York and serves the eastern Long Island and southeastern Connecticut areas. It is owned by Sacred Heart University. It broadcasts a news/talk radio and classical music format that includes programming from NPR, Public Radio International, and American Public Media. For most of the time, it acts as a full satellite of WSHU, though on Sunday mornings and afternoons it simulcasts WSHU-FM's classical programming. The station was assigned the WSUF call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on October 1, 1993.

Union Chapel is a historic Methodist chapel located in Shelter Island Heights, Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1875 and is a wood-frame structure with wood-shingle sheathing. The chapel's main three-bay facade has a 2+1⁄2-story bell tower with a double-door center entrance at its base; a small porch shelters the entry. It is the most important extant structure associated with the Shelter Island Heights Grove and Camp Meeting Association, a Methodist camp established in 1872.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Brecknock Hall is a historic home located at Stirling in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1857 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, square cut ashlar stone residence in the Italianate style. The central projecting gable has a one-room sized cupola centrally located on the roof. Also on the property is a 19th-century barn, a small early 20th-century greenhouse, and an early 20th-century caretaker's house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

As of the 2020 census, the village population was 50, making it the least populous village in the State of New York. The Incorporated Village of Dering Harbor is located on the northern side of Shelter Island, east of the hamlet of Shelter Island Heights.

Shelter Island Country Club is a historic country club located at Shelter Island in Suffolk County, New York. The club was established in 1901 and consists of a nine-hole golf course, club house, driving range, and maintenance facility. The club house is a two-story Colonial Revival-style wood-frame building with a side-gabled gambrel roof with five dormer windows on both the east and west elevations. It features a full-length front porch on the east and north sides.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

It is located on the north side of Shelter Island, surrounding the village of Dering Harbor. The population was 1,601 at the time of the 2020 census.
