Il Gobbo di Rialto

The Rialto is a central area of Venice, Italy, in the sestiere of San Polo. It is, and has been for many centuries, the financial and commercial heart of the city. Rialto is known for its prominent markets as well as for the monumental Rialto Bridge across the Grand Canal.

San Giacomo di Rialto is a church in the sestiere of San Polo, Venice, northern Italy. The addition of Rialto to the name distinguishes this church from its namesake San Giacomo dell'Orio found in the sestiere of Santa Croce, on the same side of the Grand Canal. It has a large 15th-century clock above the entrance, a useful item in the Venetian business district but regarded as a standing joke for its inaccuracy. The Gothic portico is one of the few surviving examples in Venice. It has a Latin cross plan with a central dome. Inside, the Veneto-Byzantine capitals on the six columns of ancient Greek marble date from the 11th century.

Palazzo dei Dieci Savi is a palace on the Canal Grande, Venice, northern Italy. It is included in the sestiere (quarter) of San Polo, and is not far from the Rialto Bridge, on the opposite side from the Palazzo dei Camerlenghi. It was built in the first half of the 16th century, under design of Antonio Abbondi. It was the seat of the Dieci Savi alle Decime, the magistrates in charge of the finances of the Republic of Venice, maintaining this function until the end of the latter in 1797. Until 2014 it housed the city's water officers (Magistrato alle Acque).

Palazzo dei Camerlenghi is a Renaissance palazzo in Venice, northern Italy, located in the sestiere (quarter) of San Polo. It faces the Canal Grande, adjacent to the Rialto Bridge.

San Giovanni Elemosinario is a church of Venice, northern Italy, dedicated to Saint John the Almsgiver. This church was founded in 1071, and was completely destroyed by the disastrous Rialto fire in 1514. The church was rebuilt by Antonio Abbondi called Scarpagnino. The painter Antonio Vassilacchi worked here in the 16th century. Nestled into the dense area near the Rialto Market (with your back to the Bridge on the San Polo side, turn left just past the flea market booths; the entrance will be through the frescoed arch behind iron gates on your left). The altarpiece on the high altar depicts St. John the Almsgiver (1545-1550) by Titian; the right apse chapel houses Saints Catherine, Sebastian and Roch (c. 1533) by il Pordenone.

The Rialto Bridge (Italian: Ponte di Rialto; Venetian: Ponte de Rialto) is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Connecting the sestieri (districts) of San Marco and San Polo, it has been rebuilt several times since its first construction as a pontoon bridge in 1173, and is now a significant tourist attraction in the city.

The Palazzo Michiel Dalle Colonne is a Baroque style palace located on the northern bank of the Grand Canal in the sestiere of Cannaregio in Venice, Italy. It is one building south of the junction of Rio del Santissimi Apostoli with Grand Canal, next to the Palazzo Michiel del Brusà and across the Canal from the Rialto Mercato and the Campo della Pescaria. The palace is also referred to as Palazzo Michiel Dalle Colonne a Santa Sofia.

The Ponte del Paradiso is a bridge located in Venice, Italy. Crossing the Rio del Mondo Novo, the bridge is almost entirely constructed out of Istrian stone bricks while the steps are paved with Trachyte. It is located within Castello, the largest of the Venetian sestieres. The bridge is known for the unique arch on its southern side serving as an entrance to the Calle del Paradiso, an alley famous for its wooden overhanging eaves.

The Fondaco dei Tedeschi (Venetian: Fòntego dei Todeschi, in literal English, "warehouse of the Germans") is a historic building in Venice, northern Italy, situated on the Grand Canal near the Rialto Bridge. It was the headquarters and restricted living quarters of the city's German (Tedeschi) merchants.

The central part of the facade is decorated with a trifora and quadrifora.
