Teuge Airport (Dutch: Vliegveld Teuge) or Teuge International Airport (ICAO: EHTE) is a small general aviation airfield 4.5 nautical miles (8.3 km; 5.2 mi) west from Deventer and 3.5 nautical miles (6.5 km; 4.0 mi) northeast from Apeldoorn. It is located in the village of Teuge, part of the Voorst municipality in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The airport has a single runway, oriented 08/26 with a length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft). A second runway, aligned 03/21, existed up to 2012. It saw limited use and was closed when the land on the north side of the airport was sold. Next to general aviation, the airfield is also used extensively for skydiving and glider flying. Though no scheduled international flights take place from the airport, customs services are available upon request, hence it is still designated an international airport. Several companies at the airport specialise in aerial photography, and it is the home airfield of aerobatics pilot Frank Versteegh, a former Red Bull Air Race participant.

Welsum is a village on the left bank of the river IJssel in the present municipality of Olst-Wijhe in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The village is the source of the Welsummer chicken breed. In 2001, a number of farms culled their flocks in connection with the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. The earliest existing written mention of the village (as Wilsum, kerspel Olst) dates from 1295. The tower of the Protestant church was built around 1475. The village's flour mill, Houdt Braef Stant, dates to 1856, with restorations in 1963 (using internal parts from the mill Wippe in Hellendoorn) and 1986. It is currently being used as a dwelling.

Teuge is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland, between Apeldoorn and Deventer. It is part of the municipality of Voorst. Its population is around 800 people and it is best known for being the location of Teuge International Airport. The main access road is the N344. Since 2001, Ecotribe Teuge is a squatted former barracks.

Olst is a railway station located in Olst, Olst-Wijhe, the Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 October 1866 and is located on the Deventer - Zwolle section of the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station lies in the centre of Olst. The station was closed between 15 May 1936 and 1 June 1940.

The Twello train accident was a railway accident on 22 December 1900 at 21:00 in front of the Twello railway station, Twello. The express train from Amsterdam (Sneltrein 238; pulled by an NS 1600) collided head-to-head with a regional train (Stoptrein 927; pulled by an NS 1600) from Almelo to Apeldoorn. Normally these trains pass each other at Bathmen, but due to a delay of the express train, the crossing was changed to Twello. The crash happened because the person who takes care of the railroad switch failed to set a switch, allowing two trains on the same track. The express train then collided with the stationary regional train. Two men from Deventer died. Five passengers were seriously injured and two conductors sustained minor injuries. Two station officials were sentenced in January 1901 to six weeks' imprisonment.

Twello is a railway station serving the village Twello, Netherlands. The original station was opened in 1887, closed in 1951 and reopened in 2006. It is located on the Apeldoorn–Deventer railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

Olst-Wijhe (pronounced [ɔlst ˈʋɛiə] ) is a municipality in the province of Overijssel, eastern Netherlands. It borders the Overijssel municipalities of Zwolle to the north, Raalte to the north and east and Deventer to the south; and the Gelderland municipalities of Voorst, Epe and Heerde to the west.

Twello is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Voorst, about 5 km (3 mi) southwest of Deventer. Twello is a village between the cities Deventer and Apeldoorn. It has several primary schools, among them De Hietweide, a public school, which means it has no religion tied to it; Sint Martinus, a Catholic primary school, located in front of the Sint Martinuskerk (see picture); De Wingerd, a Christian primary school located next to the Town Hall and De Kleine Wereld, a Christian primary school. The village also has two high schools for VMBO (voorbereidend middelbaar beroepsonderwijs, pre-vocational secondary education) and the first three grades of HAVO (hoger algemeen voortgezet onderwijs, higher general continued education). Twello was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Voorst.

Jonas (sometimes "De Jonas" or Hafkamp) is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It lies east of the village of Vaassen, on the western side of the Apeldoornsch Kanaal.Jonas lies on the border of the municipalities Epe and Apeldoorn. Jonas is not a statistical entity, and has been placed by the postal authorities under Wenum-Wiesel and Vaassen. It was first mentioned in 1899 as Jonas (De), and is a house name. Between 1899 and 1918, a dairy factory was located in Jonas. The hamlet consists of about 20 houses.
