Vaassen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈvaːsə(n)]; Low German: Vaossen) is one of four villages in the Dutch municipality of Epe. Vaassen is situated between Apeldoorn and Zwolle, on the eastern edge of the Veluwe in the province of Gelderland. Vaassen was an independent municipality up to 1 January 1818, when it merged with Epe.

De Leest (Dutch pronunciation: [də leːst]) was a fine dining restaurant located in Vaassen in the Netherlands. The restaurant was awarded one Michelin star in the period 2003–2006, two Michelin stars in the period 2007–2013, and three Michelin stars since 2014 until it was closed on 27 December 2019.On 7 October 2019 the restaurant announced that it will close down "later this year". The restaurant was closed on 27 December 2019. De Leest was a member of Les Patrons Cuisiniers.

Cannenburg Castle (Dutch: Kasteel De Cannenburgh) or Cannenburch Castle (Dutch: Cannenburch) is a watercastle in the Netherlands. It is situated in Vaassen, a town in the province of Gelderland.

Emst is a village in the municipality of Epe in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. It is the birthplace of former footballer Marc Overmars. Emst is located in the forest area of Veluwe. Emst was first mentioned between 1255 and 1256 as van Emze. The etymology is unknown. In 1860, it was home to 1,280 people. A Dutch Reformed Church was built in 1864. It burnt down in 1930, but was rebuilt the same year.

Wenum-Wiesel is a twin village in the municipality of Apeldoorn, in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. In 1978, the hamlets of Wenum and Wiesel merged into a village.

Zuuk is a hamlet in the Netherlands, south of Zwolle, in the province of Gelderland in the municipality of Epe.

Epe (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈeːpə] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The municipality has a population of 32,191 (2015, source: CBS), and the town itself has a population of 15,552. The town hall stands in Epe, which is situated about 16 km (9.9 mi) north of Apeldoorn and 21 km (13 mi) south of Zwolle. Another important town within the municipality is Vaassen (12,739 inhabitants), halfway between Epe and Apeldoorn. It has an interesting castle called 'Kasteel De Cannenburgh', which is open to visitors (guided tour compulsory). Epe, Vaassen and also the village of Oene each have a medieval church. Other population centres of interest are Emst, Gortel, Tongeren, Wissel and Zuuk.

Het Loo Palace (Dutch: Paleis Het Loo [paːˈlɛis ɦɛt ˈloː], meaning "The Lea") is a palace in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, built by the House of Orange-Nassau.

Wissel is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Epe, about 2 km west of the town of Epe.It was first mentioned in 1273 as de Wischele. The etymology is not clear. It is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Epe. In 1840, it was home to 468 people.In 1967, a miniature zoo opened in Wissel called Dierenpark Wissel. It specialised in small animals. It closed in 2015, and the animals have been relocated to other zoos.

Het Oude Loo (Dutch pronunciation: [ɦɛt ˈʌudə loː]; The Old Woods) is a 15th-century castle on the estate of Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. The castle was built as a hunting lodge and is surrounded by a moat. The castle is currently used by the Dutch royal family as a country house and guest residence. It is not open to the public.

Teuge Airport (Dutch: Vliegveld Teuge) or Teuge International Airport (ICAO: EHTE) is a small general aviation airfield 4.5 nautical miles (8.3 km; 5.2 mi) west from Deventer and 3.5 nautical miles (6.5 km; 4.0 mi) northeast from Apeldoorn. It is located in the village of Teuge, part of the Voorst municipality in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The airport has a single runway, oriented 08/26 with a length of 1,199 m (3,934 ft). A second runway, aligned 03/21, existed up to 2012. It saw limited use and was closed when the land on the north side of the airport was sold. Next to general aviation, the airfield is also used extensively for skydiving and glider flying. Though no scheduled international flights take place from the airport, customs services are available upon request, hence it is still designated an international airport. Several companies at the airport specialise in aerial photography, and it is the home airfield of aerobatics pilot Frank Versteegh, a former Red Bull Air Race participant.

The Theological University of Apeldoorn (TUA) is the Dutch theological university of the Christian Reformed Churches (Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerken). More than 130 students study at the university in Apeldoorn. The theological course lasts six years. The student is in the bachelor's program for the first three years. This has a more orientating character, and includes the languages Classic Greek and Koine Greek, Latin and Biblical Hebrew. In the three-year master's program that follows, further studies and specialization are discussed. The training is specifically aimed at educating pastors (for the Christian Reformed Churches). Furthermore, one tries to keep together the reformed character of the faith and the church and the scientific level of the university. The syllabus consists of subjects such as ethics, apologetics, Old and New Testament, canonical studies, dogmatics, church history, church law and civil subjects.Although the university is mainly a preacher training for the Christian Reformed Churches, a minority of them become preachers or preachers within this church federation. In addition to students from the Netherlands, there are also students from outside the Netherlands, especially from Korea, Indonesia and other countries in Asia. Students come from various confessional backgrounds and from various countries. National student evaluations have ranked TUA for several years as one the best Dutch universities.There is also contact and cooperation with the Theological University of the Reformed Churches in Utrecht. By integrating their research programs, the theological universities of Apeldoorn and Utrecht are able to present a combined tradition of more than two centuries of classical theology. Their research program aims to combine two fields of research that are often kept quite separate: Biblical Exegesis and Systematic Theology (BEST).
