Leyton

George Mitchell School is a coeducational all-through school located in Leyton in London, England. It is attended by students who mainly live in the local area, with some from further afield. Examination results at the end of Key Stage 4 (i.e. the end of Year 11) have improved dramatically over recent years, as have the Key Stage 2 results. The school is currently located across several sites – on Crawley Road, Farmer Road, Burchell Road and Vicarage Road.

Beaumont Road is a housing estate located in Leyton in East London. It is the largest housing estate in the borough of Waltham Forest, and is now the last high rise estate (with 20-plus-storey towers) in Leyton. All neighbouring high rise estates (Oliver Close estate, Cathall, Boundary Road estate and Livingstone College estate) have been demolished. It is situated just south of the Bakers Arms, on Leyton High Road.

Leyton Cricket Ground (formerly known as the County Ground or the Lyttelton Ground) is a cricket ground in Leyton, London. The ground was the headquarters and main home match venue of Essex County Cricket Club from 1886 until 1933, and was also used by the club for matches between 1957 and 1977. It currently hosts club and community cricket matches and has a listed pavilion.

Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) is based in London, England and was established in 1992 with 200 adults and 100 children. It currently has up to 12,000 people in attendance at the main church every Sunday. The church is pastored by Matthew Ashimolowo.

Bakers Arms is an intersection and arguably a district on the boundary of Leyton and Walthamstow, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is named after a former public house which stood at the junction of High Road Leyton, Hoe Street (both A112) and Lea Bridge Road (A104). The pub's name was derived from the nearby almshouses for members of London's baking trade, which were completed in 1866. The first record of a publican at the Baker's Arms was in 1868. The pub closed in 2010, and the premises now operate as a betting shop. There are several food stores, pubs and cafes, and a variety of other retail outlets.

The Parish Church of St Mary with St Edward and St Luke, Leyton, also known as Leyton Parish Church and formerly, St Mary the Virgin, Leyton, is a Church of England parish church in Leyton, East London. Although records of the church go back to about 1200, it has been repeatedly rebuilt; the oldest surviving fabric dates to 1658, but a majority of it is from the early 19th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Leyton Grange, in Leyton, east London, is the second most deprived area of the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It include an estate that consists of a 10-storey tower and ten 4-storey courts owned by Forest Homes (see list below). Leyton Grange is sited in an area of Waltham Forest that overlooks the marshes of the River Lea, east of the city of London. The Grange was the ancient manor house of Leyton, the name signifying that it was once owned by Stratford Abbey; the first record of it by that name is in 1470. The house was rebuilt in 1720 in the Palladian style to the design of its owner, David Gansel. Leyton Grange was the seat of a branch of the Lane family from 1784 until 1861, when they sold it to the British Land Company who broke it up for development. From approximately 1824 until 1843 the Lanes leased the Grange to William Rhodes, grandfather of Cecil Rhodes.It now contains a housing estate complex, comprising one 10-storey block and ten 4-storey courts. Leyton Midland Road is a London Overground station in Leyton of the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is on the Gospel Oak to Barking line, 9 miles 18 chains (14.8 km) down the line from Gospel Oak and situated between Walthamstow Queen's Road and Leytonstone High Road stations in Travelcard Zone 3. It is the closest railway station to Bakers Arms.

Walthamstow School of Art was an art school based in Walthamstow, north-east London. It eventually became part of Waltham Forest College. In 1883, an art school was created by the Walthamstow Literary Institute. It was initially based at the Trinity School, in West Avenue, which was connected with the Science and Art Department, in South Kensington. In 1892, it relocated to Grosvenor House, Hoe Street, and then to Court House, Hoe Street, in 1900. Administration was taken over by the Walthamstow Higher Education Committee in 1906. It was closed in 1915.

Oliver Close Estate is a housing estate in Leyton, London Borough of Waltham Forest in East London, England. From 1967 to 1996 the estate contained 500 flats in five high-rise buildings. It is currently owned and administered by the Community-based Housing Association.

The Church of St Barnabas and St James the Greater, Walthamstow, is an Edwardian era Church of England parish church in Walthamstow, East London. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Brisbane Road, originally known as Osborne Road, is a football stadium in Brisbane Road, Leyton, East London, England. It has been the home ground of Leyton Orient since 1937, before which it was the home of amateur football team Leyton F.C., who moved to the Hare and Hounds ground. Since 2022 it has also been home to Tottenham Hotspur Women. The highest attendance at the ground was 34,345 for the visit of West Ham United in the 1964 FA Cup. It has hosted a number of England U-16 and England women's team matches. It hosted the 2007–08 FA Women's Premier League Cup final. It was also home of the Tottenham Hotspur Reserves. In 2012 Brisbane Road hosted the final of the inaugural NextGen series, a competition for the academy sides of elite clubs.
