Newton and Haceby is a civil parish in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England. It includes the separate hamlets of Newton and Haceby. The population of the civil parish (including Walcot) at the 2011 census was 137. Local democracy is handled together with the adjacent parish of Walcot near Folkingham in the Newton, Haceby and Walcot Parish Meeting.The parish is bounded on the north by the A52 Grantham to Boston road, and on the east by the A15 Bourne to Sleaford road. There are no major routes within the parish, only minor roads linking the farms and hamlets. Most of the parish is about 200 feet (61 m) above sea level, though a small stream lies in a narrow valley down to the road junction known as Newton Bar. A number of small woodlands are scattered through the parish, which is otherwise mostly open farmland.

St Barbara's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Haceby, Lincolnshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church is situated some 8 miles (12.9 km) to the east of Grantham, about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the A52 road. It has a double dedication to Saint Barbara and Saint Margaret.

Pickworth is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish including Braceby and Sapperton was 243 at the 2011 census. It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) both east from Grantham and south from Sleaford. The 1086 Domesday Book lists Pickworth as having forty households and a church.The Church of England parish church of Saint Andrew is a Grade I listed building built of limestone and dating from the 12th century. The 14th-century rebuilding of the church is said to date from 1356, probably by the Pickworth family. Over the chancel arch are 14th-century wall paintings dated to about 1380.

It is 8 miles (13 km) east from Grantham, 8 miles south from Sleaford, and 1 mile (1.6 km) south from the A52 road. In 1921 the parish had a population of 51. On 1 April 1931 the parish was abolished and merged with Newton to form "Newton and Haceby".In the Domesday account the village is written as "Hazebi". The -by suffix is a Scandinavian word ending, for a place name based on a personal name. It is suggested that the origin is Farmstead or village of Haddr.Haceby consists of a small number of houses, farm buildings, and the Grade I listed redundant St Barbara's Church. Although dedicated to St Barbara, it is also attributed to St Margaret or to both saints. Earthworks to the west of the village are still visible as the remains of a Roman Villa. In 1818 a tessellated pavement and other Roman remains were discovered.The village's war memorial is found combined with that of Newton, in Newton's St Botolph Church.

Threekingham Bar is the name given to interception of the A52 (Grantham to Boston) and A15 (Peterborough to Lincoln and Hull) roads, 1 mile (1.6 km) to the west of the village of Threekingham, in Lincolnshire, EnglandThe interception is arranged as a small modern roundabout. Both roads are single carriageway. The countryside is undulating, and the A52 descends into a valley to the west. The location is rural, with no human habitation. The name dates it to the turnpike era. The A52 approximately follows the route of Salters Way.An 18th-century mile post is in the verge, 220 yards (200 m) south from the roundabout.

The population of the civil parish (including Spanby) at the 2011 census was 381.It is located 5 miles (8.0 km) south from Sleaford on the A15 road near the A52 roundabout. Adjacent villages include Spanby, Aunsby and Threekingham. In 2001 the village had a population of 358.The church is dedicated to St Peter and St Paul. The village public house is the Whichcote Arms on London Road (A15). There is a small primary school and nursery in the village.

Swarby is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Aswarby and Swarby, in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, approximately 3 miles (5 km) south-southwest of Sleaford, 900 yards (820 m) west of the A15 road and 1 mile (1.6 km) to the northwest of Aswarby. In 1921 the parish had a population of 141. On 1 April 1931 the parish was abolished to form "Aswarby and Swarby".The village name is Scandinavian in origin, and comes from the Old Norse for a farmstead or village of a person named 'Svarri'.The parish church is dedicated to Saint Mary and All Saints and is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 13th century. It was restored in 1886 and the south aisle dates from the same time. The west tower is 15th-century. On the north wall of the chancel is a rectangular ashlar wall plaque to Anthony Williams who died in 1681.Swarby CE School was built in 1859, and closed in 1971.A tornado swept through the village on 28 June 2012. It uprooted many trees, lifted a trampoline hundreds of feet and caused a garage roof to collapse while removing tiles from houses.

The Church of St Andrew in Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England, is Grade I–listed Anglican church. Originating in the late 12th century, it was largely completed by the late 15th, with restorations carried out in 1825, 1858 and 1860. It has early Decorated style arcades and a mainly Early English chancel, with a Norman pier where there was an opening into a chantry chapel. On the south side of the church are the remains of stocks and a whipping-post.The churchyard contains the war graves of two army personnel of the First World War.The church is a prominent feature of the village, but is inconspicuous from the Market Place. In 2006 it was damaged when gale force winds blew down two of the four pinnacles, one of which fell onto the roof causing damaging costing more than £100,000 to repair.Folkingham is part of the Parish of South Lafford in the Deanery of Lafford, Diocese of Lincoln.

The parish therefore consists of both Aswarby and Swarby. The village of Aswarby and Swarby lies 3.5 miles (6 km) from Sleaford, the closest town to it, and 14 miles (23 km) from Grantham. The nearest station to Aswarby and Swarby is that of Rauceby, approximately 8 miles (13 km) north from the village. Aswarby should not be confused with Aswardby, which is also in Lincolnshire, but about 35 miles (56 km) North-East of Aswarby.
