Valkaria Airport (FAA LID: X59) is a public-use airport located 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the central business district of the city of Grant-Valkaria in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The airport is publicly owned.The airport was originally constructed by the U.S. Navy during World War II as Naval Outlying Landing Field Valkaria (NOLF Valkaria), an auxiliary airfield to Naval Air Station Melbourne, now Melbourne International Airport. NOLF Valkaria was closed in late 1945 and did not reopen for flight operations until 1959. During the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, the site was used as a Missile Trajectory Measurement (MISTRAM) station by the U.S. Air Force and NASA in support of launch operations at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Kennedy Space Center. In 1959, the United States Department of Defense and the General Services Administration conveyed that part of the Valkaria facility not dedicated to MISTRAM to the county government of Brevard County, Florida for use as a public airport.The Valkaria Airport also has the Space Coast Drone Test Center.

The Jorgensen's General Store is a historic site in Grant-Valkaria, Florida. It is located at 5390 U.S. 1. It was operated by brothers Atley and Adolph Benson, members of a pioneer family of Grant. On June 25, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

WROK-FM (95.9 MHz, "The Rocket") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Sebastian, Florida, serving the Space Coast and Treasure Coast areas. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and airs a classic rock format. WROK-FM has its studios and offices on West Hibiscus Blvd in Melbourne. The transmitter is off Micco Road near Sebastian. The station has a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission to increase its antenna height while slightly decreasing its effective radiated power. WROK-FM is not associated with WROK (AM) in Rockford, Illinois, which is owned by Townsquare Media.

The Bensen House, sometimes called the 1916 House or the Grant Historical House, is a historic U.S. home located at 5795 U.S. Route 1, Grant, Florida. The house was built in 1916 by Atley Bensen for his wife Clara. It now serves as a house museum and the home for the Grant Historical Society.

WBFT-LP (105.5 FM) was a radio station licensed to Micco, Florida, United States. The station was owned by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.Along with Space Coast Government Television, and WBCC, the low power FM radio station was used by Brevard County officials to broadcast information in the event of an emergency. During times of non-emergency, the station broadcast either a simulcast of SCGTV audio, National Weather Service NOAA Weather Radio audio, or FEMA Public Service Announcements.This station was originally funded via federal grant money for capital equipment cost with the operational expenses paid for by Brevard County. A basic radio studio was installed inside the Brevard County EOC in Rockledge with control & editing equipment to support the station. The station was placed on-air in 2004 immediately prior to Hurricane Charley due to the efforts of Sharon Luba, Space Coast Government Television, Ray Kassis, WWBC/WMIE and Eric Conklin, Brevard County Emergency Management. The station served the population of Grant, Micco, Barefoot Bay, Valkaria, Southern Palm Bay, and the South Brevard beaches to the south Melbourne Beach boundary. The station's signal did reach the communities of Sebastian and Roseland in northern Indian River County, and an informal cooperative agreement was in place between Brevard and Indian River County to transmit emergency information for Indian River County Emergency Management should the need arise. The station permanently left the air as of September 15, 2010, due to fiscal expenditure reductions by the Board of County Commissioners scheduled to take place in the FY 2011 County budget. The broadcast station license was returned to the FCC for cancellation.

The Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge is part of the United States National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) System, located along a twenty-mile (30 km) section of coastline from Melbourne Beach to Wabasso Beach, Florida, along State Road A1A. The 900 acre (3.6 km2) refuge was established in 1991, to protect the loggerhead and green sea turtles.
