Halling railway station is on the Medway Valley Line in Kent, England, and lies a little to the north of the village of Halling. It is 35 miles 18 chains (56.7 km) down the line from London Charing Cross via Strood and is situated between Cuxton and Snodland. The station and all trains that serve the station are operated by Southeastern. The APTIS-equipped ticket office, in a building on the northbound platform, closed in September 1989; the building, after a lengthy period of disuse, was converted to office accommodation but is again disused. A PERTIS (Permit to Travel) ticket machine is located just outside the entrance to the station, which is on the northbound platform; this was installed in 2007.

Peter's Pit (or Peters Pit) is a 28.7-hectare (71-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Snodland in Kent. It is a Special Area of ConservationThis was formerly a chalk quarry and it has an undulating terrain. There are many ponds, some of which have populations of the great crested newt, a protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The site has two reptiles, grass snakes and common European adders.A footpath from Old Church Road goes through the site.

Halling is a village on the North Downs in the northern part of Kent, England. Consisting of Lower Halling, Upper Halling and North Halling, it is scattered over some 3 miles (5 km) along the River Medway parallel to the Pilgrims' Way which runs through Kent. The origin of the name is uncertain. The following have been proposed at various times: Halls land (belonging to Hall), Heall land (from Old English, Hall Manor), Heallgemot (the court of the lord of the Manor) and Heallingas (companions sharing the same hall).

Holborough Marshes is a 35-hectare (86-acre) nature reserve on the outskirts of Snodland, south-west of Chatham in Kent. It is managed by Kent Wildlife Trust. It is part of Holborough to Burham Marshes Site of Special Scientific Interest.The marshes have a variety of wetland habitats, freshwater marshes, woodland, reedbeds, which are brackish and tidal, wet grassland, scrub, and freshwater and saline dykes. There are water voles, and birds include reed buntings and sedge warblers.The site is open to the public.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Burham, Kent, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands to the west of the village, on the Pilgrims' Way, overlooking the River Medway.

Holborough to Burham Marshes is a 149.8-hectare (370-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest Kent. Holborough Marshes and Burham Marsh are managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.This site is in the tidal flood plain of the River Medway. It has diverse habitats, with reedbeds, fen, grassland, woodland, scrub and a flooded gravel pit, which attracts wintering wildfowl. There are five rare invertebrates, including three bee species.There is public access to Holborough Marshes.

Burham Marsh nature reserve is an 11 hectare tidal Reed bed on the River Medway 5 miles northwest of Maidstone. It is just east of Snodland but being on the east bank of the river it is accessed via Burham. It is part the Holborough to Wouldham Marshes Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Snodland is a town in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling in Kent, England. It lies on the River Medway, between Rochester and Maidstone, and 27 miles (43 km) from central London. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 10,211.

Cuxton is a village in the unitary authority of Medway in South East England. It lies on the left bank of the River Medway in the North Downs. It is served by the A228, and Cuxton railway station on the Medway Valley Line between Strood and Maidstone. A low valley leads up from the river to the hamlet of Lower Bush.
