Davies House, also known as "Twin Spruce," is a historic home located in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. It was built between 1767 and 1772, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, fieldstone dwelling with a gable roof. It has a two-story, stone and frame addition to the west, with a one-story half gable addition on that. The additions were completed by 1835. It is Georgian in style with Federal style details. Also on the property is a contributing stone smokehouse / cold cellar.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Berkley Historic District is a national historic district located in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses 14 contributing buildings on 4 contributing properties in the hamlet of Berkley built between 1758 and 1856. They are the Francis Parvin Homestead, separately listed Davies House (c. 1770), Georgian style Roberta and Richard Schmehl House (c. 1754, 1830), and Dunkle House (c. 1830). The Parvin homestead includes the Parvin House. It was built in 1758 and expanded in 1856. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay, side-gabled dwelling with a front porch added about 1880. Also on the homestead is a barn built about 1800. The Parvin family was active in the local Quaker community and the property may have been a station on the Underground Railroad.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Maiden Creek is a 20.3-mile-long (32.7 km) tributary of the Schuylkill River in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The name "Maiden" is an English translation of the Native American word Ontelaunee. Maiden Creek is formed by the confluence of Ontelaunee and Kistler creeks in the community of Kempton. The tributary Sacony Creek joins at the community of Virginville.The creek was dammed in 1926 to form Lake Ontelaunee. The creek joins the Schuylkill River north of the city of Reading, for which it serves as the main drinking water supply.

Peacock's Lock Viaduct is a stone arch bridge over the Schuylkill River near Reading, Pennsylvania, constructed by the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad between 1853 and 1856. It is named for a nearby lock on the Schuylkill Canal. The bridge is notable for its pierced spandrels, or circular openings between the arch rings and the deck. While this feature is found on some European bridges, it is extremely rare, if not unique, in the United States.

By 2010, the district's population declined to 23,562 people.In 2009, the district residents’ per capita income was $21,417, while the median family income was $51,356. In the Commonwealth, the median family income was $49,501 and the United States median family income was $49,445, in 2010.The district operates four schools: Muhlenberg Elementary Center (K-3), C.E. Cole Intermediate School (4-6), Muhlenberg Middle School (7-9), and Muhlenberg High School (10-12) school. The 9th grade moved from the high school to the middle school in the 2010–2011 school year. The 4th grade moved from the elementary school to the intermediate school in the 2018–2019 school year. All four of the schools share the same campus and are separated by athletic fields. The district is one of the 500 public school districts of Pennsylvania. High school students may choose to attend Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Centers [1] for training in the trades. The Berks County Intermediate Unit IU14 [2] provides the district with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.

South Temple is a census-designated place in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located approximately four miles north of the city of Reading. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,424 residents.Originally a streetcar suburb of Reading, South Temple retains the look of a 1920s residential community, with decent-sized properties, mature trees, sidewalks, and much variation in housing styles. The houses are well-kept and the gardens meticulously groomed. The community was originally serviced by a street-running trolley on Kutztown Road and an interurban trolley stop (the pavilion at 11th & Park is still standing).
