Samudradevi Balika Vidyalaya (Sinhala: සමුද්‍රදේවී බාලිකා විද්‍යාලය) is a public girls' school located in Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. It was founded on 5 May 1915 and is considered as the oldest girls' school in Nugegoda.

St. Joseph's Boys' College (Sinhala: සාන්ත ජොසප් පිරිමි විදුහල) is a distinguished boys only primary to secondary (inclusive) school in the Nugegoda Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1953. St Joseph's Boys College is a Roman Catholic school.

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura (also known as Jayawardhanapura University or USJ; Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය, romanized: Çri Jayawardhanapura Wishwawidyala, Tamil: ஸ்ரீ ஜயவர்தனபுர பல்கலைக்கழகம்) is a public university in Sri Lanka. It is in Gangodawila, Nugegoda, near Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, the country's administrative capital. It was formed in 1958 from the Vidyodaya Pirivena, a Buddhist educational centre which was founded in 1873 by Hikkaduwe Sri Sumangala Thera.

Jubilee Post (Sinhala: ජුබිලි කණුව) Nugegoda is a commemorative marker, at the intersection of Stanley Thilakarathne Mawatha (B120) and Old Kottawa Road, formerly King George Avenue (B291), recognising the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. The post was initially erected on the road verge but was subsequently relocated to the middle of the intersection. It was moved again in 2020 when the intersection was upgraded.The post is approximately 1.2 m (3 ft 11 in) high and is fixed to a rectangular base, 52 cm (20 in) by 34 cm (13 in) and 26 cm (10 in) tall. The inscriptions on the post are in English and Sinhalese.It is maintained by the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Municipal Council, who have painted the post white. On 8 July 2005 it was gazetted as an archaeological protected monument by the government.

Kotte Raja Maha Vihara ( Sinhala: කෝට්ටේ රජ මහා විහාරය) is a historic Buddhist temple situated in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Western province, Sri Lanka. It is located near to the historic building Pita Kotte Gal Ambalama at the Pita Kotte junction on Kotte road. The temple has been formally recognised by the Government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka. The designation was declared on 17 May 2013 under the government Gazette number 1811.

Ananda Sastralaya (sinhala: ආනන්ද ශාස්ත්‍රාලය) is a public boys school located in Kotte, Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1890 as Kotte Buddhist English Mixed School. In 1952 a part of the school land was designated by the Government as an archaeological site since an underground residence of a Buddhist place of worship was discovered at the site.
