The Las Vegas courthouse shooting was an attack on January 4, 2010, in which a gunman opened fire in the lobby of the Lloyd D. George Federal District Courthouse in Las Vegas, Nevada. Two people were killed in the attack, including the gunman, who was identified by authorities as Johnny Lee Wicks, a 66-year-old man disgruntled over cuts to his Social Security benefits. Stanley W. Cooper, a 72-year-old court security officer, was also killed after a shotgun blast struck him in the chest. A 48-year-old deputy U.S. Marshal named Richard "Joe" Gardner was shot in the upper arm, chest, and head, with a total of eight pieces of buckshot entering his body, and hospitalized at the University Medical Center, but survived.

The Las Vegas Grammar School on Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as the Historic Fifth Street School, is a school listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Nevada and is located in the city of Las Vegas. Built in 1936, the mission style building is the only one remaining from that era. The school sits on a 20-acre (8.1 ha) site on Las Vegas Boulevard. After the renovations, the main entrance and address for the school will be changed to Fourth Street.(The official Address as of 2008 is now 401 S. The Wee Kirk o' the Heather was a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It opened in 1940, making it the first wedding chapel in Las Vegas.It was parodied as the Wee Kirk Of Auld Lang Syne in Evelyn Waugh's The Loved One. It is mentioned in Thomas Pynchon's 2009 novel Inherent Vice (pg. 246). The chapel was demolished October 3, 2020.

The venue hosts weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, same-sex weddings and wedding receptions for couples traveling to Las Vegas to get married from all over the world.

Silver Bell Wedding Chapel (a.k.a. Silver Bells Wedding Chapel) was a wedding chapel located on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Established in the 1950s the site was host to hundreds of thousands of weddings in its history including the celebrity weddings of Burt Bacharach and Angie Dickenson in 1965 and Rodney Dangerfield to Joan Child in 1993. It was also featured in the television movie Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas and the film Lost in America. In 2002 the chapel was damaged in a fire. It was sold into new ownership and renovated in 2003 and re-opened as Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel which remains in business at the same location today.Cathy and Joe Hubbard also got married here on March 10, 1974. Scott and Candace Campbell were also married here on June 1, 1994.

The Las Vegas High School Historic District in Las Vegas, Nevada is a historic district which includes 11 buildings on the 15 acres (6.1 ha) campus of the school district. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.It includes the Las Vegas High School Academic Building, Gymnasium, and Frazier Hall, now the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies and Performing Arts. The academic building and gymnasium is an Art Deco building which was listed on the National Register in 1986, and which represents a subset of the Art Deco style known as "Aztec Moderne", in which Aztec design motifs were used in an overall Art Deco palette of forms and materials. The academic building and the gymnasium are two of the original 3 buildings that were built. The third was destroyed around 1950. The listing was expanded to include Frazier Hall in 2021. Described as the best example of Art Deco in Las Vegas, the school was designed by father-and-son architects George A. Ferris & Son of Reno, Nevada. The stucco-covered reinforced concrete buildings are decorated with a variety of polychrome medallions and friezes depicting animals and plants. The two-story academic building, measuring 208 by 82 feet (63 by 25 m), is part of a seven-building complex within the larger Las Vegas High School Neighborhood Historic District. The gymnasium is of complementary form and construction, measuring 113 by 83 feet (34 by 25 m). The gymnasium's entrance is rendered as a stylized Mayan arch. The Academic Building and Gymnasium are linked by the 1952 Humanities Building, which is not regarded as contributing to the historic character of the complex.The school became a magnet school for specialized studies in 1993. The Academic Building and Gymnasium were listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 24, 1986. It was included as a contributing property in the National Register listing of the large Las Vegas High School Neighborhood Historic District in 1991. The academic building and gymnasium listing was enlarged in 2021 to include Frazier Hall. The entire campus was then listed on the National Register in 2022.

Juhl is a mixed-use property in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. It features six residential buildings, including a 15-story condominium tower, in addition to restaurants and retailers. Groundbreaking took place in 2006, but construction delays pushed the opening back more than a year. It opened in June 2009, with 341 condominium units, but buyers had difficulty finalizing their condo purchases due to the effects of the Great Recession. In 2013, Juhl's 306 unsold units were sold to a partnership of companies, which turned them into rentals and, in 2017, began putting the rental units back up for sale as condominiums.

The Las Vegas High School Academic Building and Gymnasium, already listed on the National Register in 1986, is included as a contributing property within the district. That property was later expanded to include Fraser Hall in 2021 and to include the entire 15 acres (6.1 ha) campus of the Las Vegas High School in 2022. When nominated, the area included 236 properties of which 4 were listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a total of 150 properties were contributing properties.

The D Las Vegas Casino Hotel (formerly Fitzgeralds) is a 34-story, 639-room hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, owned and operated by Derek and Greg Stevens. The D Las Vegas also consists of a dinner theater called Showroom at the D.The D is located at the eastern end of the Fremont Street Experience. It has a 42,000-square-foot (3,900 m2) casino, several restaurants, a business center, and a pool. The casino has more than 1,000 slot machines and 22 table games located on two floors. It is the tallest building in downtown Las Vegas and the second-tallest inside the city limits, having been surpassed by Allure Las Vegas in 2007. As Fitzgeralds, it had a "luck of the Irish" theme, with shamrocks and a leprechaun. In fall 2012, The D completed a property-wide renovation and rebranding to replace the Irish theme.
