The Club Renaissance was a proposed 60-story condominium tower that would have been built in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. Besides residential units, other features would include office space, retail, and restaurants. The project was announced in January 2005, and construction was originally scheduled to begin later that year. Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman initially praised the project for its affordability, noting the $150,000 starting price of its condo units, although he later threatened to revoke approval of the project in 2007, as construction had yet to begin. The project was ultimately canceled following financial issues.

The Railroad Cottage Historic District is an area originally comprising eight historic cottages along Casino Center Boulevard in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The eight cottages had once been part of a development of 64 homes constructed by the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad to provide housing for their employees. Although a handful of cottages still existed at the time, only eight neighboring cottages were included in the district when it was created in 1987. Beginning in 2005, all but one of the eight cottages in the district were demolished or moved to clear land for the failed Club Renaissance condominium tower.

Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel is a wedding chapel located on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Established in 2003, the chapel is a modern renovation of the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel which was built in the 1950s. The venue hosts weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, same-sex weddings and wedding receptions for couples traveling to Las Vegas to get married from all over the world.

Silver Bell Wedding Chapel (a.k.a. Silver Bells Wedding Chapel) was a wedding chapel located on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Established in the 1950s the site was host to hundreds of thousands of weddings in its history including the celebrity weddings of Burt Bacharach and Angie Dickenson in 1965 and Rodney Dangerfield to Joan Child in 1993. It was also featured in the television movie Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas and the film Lost in America. In 2002 the chapel was damaged in a fire. It was sold into new ownership and renovated in 2003 and re-opened as Mon Bel Ami Wedding Chapel which remains in business at the same location today.Cathy and Joe Hubbard also got married here on March 10, 1974. Scott and Candace Campbell were also married here on June 1, 1994.

The Jay Dayton Smith House is located Las Vegas, Nevada, within the Las Vegas High School Neighborhood Historic District and is currently used as an office.

The Las Vegas courthouse shooting was an attack on January 4, 2010, in which a gunman opened fire in the lobby of the Lloyd D. George Federal District Courthouse in Las Vegas, Nevada. Two people were killed in the attack, including the gunman, who was identified by authorities as Johnny Lee Wicks, a 66-year-old man disgruntled over cuts to his Social Security benefits. Stanley W. Cooper, a 72-year-old court security officer, was also killed after a shotgun blast struck him in the chest. A 48-year-old deputy U.S. Marshal named Richard "Joe" Gardner was shot in the upper arm, chest, and head, with a total of eight pieces of buckshot entering his body, and hospitalized at the University Medical Center, but survived.

The Las Vegas Grammar School on Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as the Historic Fifth Street School, is a school listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Nevada and is located in the city of Las Vegas. Built in 1936, the mission style building is the only one remaining from that era. The school sits on a 20-acre (8.1 ha) site on Las Vegas Boulevard. After the renovations, the main entrance and address for the school will be changed to Fourth Street.(The official Address as of 2008 is now 401 S. The United States District Court for the District of Nevada (in case citations, D. Nev.) is the federal district court whose jurisdiction is the state of Nevada. The court has locations in Las Vegas and Reno. Cases from the District of Nevada are appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Nevada represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. As of May 11, 2022, the United States Attorney is Jason Frierson.

Las Vegas City Hall is the center of municipal government for the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located downtown, with its main entrance on Main Street.

The Wee Kirk o' the Heather was a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. It opened in 1940, making it the first wedding chapel in Las Vegas.It was parodied as the Wee Kirk Of Auld Lang Syne in Evelyn Waugh's The Loved One. It is mentioned in Thomas Pynchon's 2009 novel Inherent Vice (pg. 246). The chapel was demolished October 3, 2020.

The Las Vegas Arts District, or the 18b in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada was created in 1998 as an 18 block zone set aside to encourage art and artists.The district won Las Vegas Review-Journal's Best of Las Vegas award in 2005.Known as the 18b, the Las Vegas Arts District contains a mix of independent businesses including vintage clothing boutiques, antique stores, art galleries, hair salons, residences, restaurants and breweries. The 18b is located halfway between the Fremont East Entertainment district and the Stratosphere Resort, clustered around Main and Charleston, bounded loosely by Commerce Street to the West, Hoover Avenue to the North, Fourth Street to the East and Colorado Avenue at the south. It is an easy bike ride, walk or bus ride from Fremont Street. The name, "18b," represents the original Arts District area, which consisted of 18 blocks. Today, the Arts District area has grown beyond those original 18 blocks and is a classic urban mix of residential, commercial and cultural uses that will continue to grow as the hub of the arts scene in Las Vegas. Eclectic, fun, funky and always changing, the 18b continues to grow, offering visitors and locals a taste of Las Vegas that is not the average tourist spot.
