Waarde

The De Hoed Mill is a post mill in Waarde, Netherlands. The structure was originally built as an oil mill in the town of Ghent in 1550, and was converted to a corn mill in the late 17th century. The mill was moved to its current location in 1989. The windmill is listed as a protected structure under rijksmonument number 32419.

Valkenisse is a former village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The village was repeatedly flooded in the 16th and 17th century, and was finally abandoned after the flood of 26 January 1682.The small remaining part of the domain of Valkenisse was a separate municipality until 1816, when it was merged with Waarde.The sandbanks in the Westerschelde south of Krabbendijke, the Platen van Valkenisse, are named after the village.

Oostdijk is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located in the municipality of Reimerswaal, about 3 km east of the town of Kruiningen.The village was first mentioned in 1899 as Oostdijk, and means eastern dike.Oostdijk was home to 209 people in 1840. The village used to be part of the municipality of Krabbendijke. It was flooded during the North Sea flood of 1953, and six people died. In 1970, it was merged into the municipality Reimerswaal.

The Oude molen (''Old Mill'' in Dutch) is a windmill in Kruiningen in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The windmill was built in 1801 and remained in operation until 1953. In 1959 it was purchased by the municipality. Between 1964 and 1965, and between 1986 and 1992, the mill was completely restored. In 2001 the mill as a whole was moved slightly after the windage on the old spot was affected. A voluntary miller, the mill is in operation regularly. The rods of the mill are approximately 20.70 meters long and feature the traditional Dutch fencing with sails. The mill is equipped with two pairs of millstones.

Gawege is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Reimerswaal. The hamlet lies on the road from Krabbendijke to Waarde. The hamlet was mentioned first in 1288.Gawege is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Waarde. The hamlet consists of about 30 houses.

Kruiningen is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located in the municipality of Reimerswaal, about 5 km south of the village of Yerseke.Kruiningen has a station on the railway line Bergen op Zoom - Vlissingen. Kruiningen achieved some notoriety as departure and arrival of the ferry Kruiningen-Perkpolder. In 2003, this ferry closed in connection with the opening of the Westerscheldetunnel.

Reimerswaal (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌrɛimərsˈʋaːl] ) is a municipality in the province of Zeeland in the southwestern Netherlands on Zuid-Beveland, named after the lost city. The municipality had a population of 22,896 in 2021, and has a surface area of 242.42 km2 (93.60 sq mi) of which 140.62 km2 (54.29 sq mi) is water. The central town Yerseke is known for trade in mussels and oysters. Kruiningen is known for the former ferry from Kruiningen to Perkpolder which was in service up to 2003. The municipality of Reimerswaal was established in 1970, from the aggregation of the municipalities Krabbendijke, Kruiningen, Rilland-Bath, Waarde, and Yerseke. The municipal coat of arms(nl) dates to 1970. The sword in a red field is derived from the coat of arms of the lost city of Reimerswaal in use in the 15th century (Beyeren Armorial p. 107) of gules two swords inverted saltirewise argent and or. In addition, the municipal coat of arms shows the comital arms of Wittelsbach-Hainaut in chief.

Krabbendijke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located in the municipality of Reimerswaal, about 6 km southeast of the town of Kruiningen.

Walsoorden is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Hulst, and lies about 22 km southwest of Bergen op Zoom. The village was first mentioned in 1210 as Volcousthord, and means "land (near water) of the people of Wale (person)".Walsoorden has one monument: the Beauforts sluice. It was built in 1761, and unlike other sluices, it does not have any doors, but uses a slide. The sluice is named after J.F. de Beaufort who was in charge of the water board. On 12 March 1906, large parts of Zeeland were flooded, but the sluice in Walsoorden managed to hold the water back.Walsoorden was home to 99 people in 1840. The village used to be part of the municipality of Hontenisse. In 2003, it was merged into Hulst. The ferry from Kruiningen to Perkpolder used to be located near Walsoorden. It was replaced in 2003 by the Westerscheldetunnel.

Perkpolder is a hamlet in the southwestern Netherlands, situated in the municipality of Hulst, Zeeland. It is known as a departure point for the ferry Kruiningen-Perkpolder that connected Zuid-Beveland and Zeelandic Flanders.

Kruiningen-Yerseke is a railway station in Zeeland in the south-west Netherlands. Located between Kruiningen and Yerseke on Nederlandse Spoorwegen's Roosendaal to Vlissingen line, the station was opened by the (privately operated but government-built) State Railways on 1 July 1868 and retains its original building from that date (enlarged in 1890 and 1902).

Nieuwlande is a drowned village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It was located 500 metres from the dike of the present-day Zuid-Beveland, north of Krabbendijke. Today some ruins are clearly visible on satellite pictures. The small remaining part of the former domain of Nieuwlande was a separate municipality until 1816, when it was merged with Krabbendijke.Nieuwlande has a coat of arms and a flag (an armorial banner). They depict a red down-turned crescent on a white field, with six green and white wavy lines underneath.
