The Seaside Post Office is a prominent building located in the Central Square of Seaside, Florida. The building was constructed in 1985. In 2018 it was relocated to a different part of the Central Square. It is currently an active post office. Seaside's downtown area is built around the post office due to it being a local landmark. The post office serves as a popular tourist attraction in Seaside.

Seagrove Beach, Florida is a two-mile-long beach community located on the Gulf of Mexico in Walton County, Florida, United States. It is located along Florida State Road 30A, east of Seaside and west of WaterSound. Seagrove Beach is recognized locally as an independent neighborhood, but its mailing address is Santa Rosa Beach. Like other communities along 30A and Florida's Emerald Coast, Seagrove Beach is known for its scenic and appealing "sugar white" beaches and blue/green waters. There are 20 public beach accesses available for use in Seagrove Beach. One Seagrove Place is the tallest and one of the oldest condominiums in the area. According to the Visit South Walton website, Seagrove Beach is "laid back, but luxurious" and home to upscale boutiques, casual cafes, a state park, and rare coastal dune lakes.

WaterColor is an unincorporated master-planned community located in Walton County, Florida, United States, between Grayton Beach and Seaside. This 499-acre (202 ha) Southern resort and residential community was planned by Cooper, Robertson & Partners with Urban Design Associates, in collaboration with Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, under the direction of The St. Joe Company. The St. Joe Company has owned the land since 1927. WaterColor homes are based on the vernacular architecture of Southern wood homes with features that include large wraparound or screened porches, wood columns and siding and a metal roof with deep overhangs. Community amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts, parks and gardens, shopping and restaurants. Camp Creek Golf Club is available to homeowners for an annual fee. The WaterColor Inn is a 60-room beachfront resort designed by David Rockwell. In 2006 it was rated the #1 Family Friendly Resort in North America by Travel + Leisure magazine. It is the only four diamond hotel in Northwest Florida. The Inn and Vacation Rentals are managed by Troon Golf and St. Joe Clubs and Resorts as of January 2014.

Grayton Beach State Park is a Florida State Park located between Panama City Beach and Destin, near the unincorporated area of Grayton Beach, on CR 30A, in northwestern Florida. Its sister park is Deer Lake State Park. The 2,200 acres (9 km2) of land for the park was obtained from a lease from the Florida Board of Education in 1964 and opened in 1968. A separate unit of the park located one mile (1.6 km) west of the main park offers duplex cabins for rent and also has beach access.

One Seagrove Place is a high-rise condominium located in Seagrove Beach, Florida. It was constructed in 1985 and is the tallest building in South Walton County.

Grayton Beach is a small, historic beach village on the Florida Panhandle Gulf coast halfway between Destin and Panama City in Walton County and adjacent to Grayton Beach State Park. Collectively, the area is known as the “Beaches of South Walton", with South Walton referring to the southern portion of Walton County below the Choctawhatchee Bay.

Point Washington is an unincorporated community in Walton County, Florida, United States. Its zip code is: 32459. The area is home to Eden Gardens State Park. The park is located south of Freeport by U.S. 98. The community developed around a sawmill. Point Washington State Forest was purchased under Florida's Conservation and Recreation Lands (CARL) program in 1992. Using an ecosystem management approach, the Florida Forest Service provides for multiple uses of the forest resources. The forest is managed for timber, wildlife, outdoor recreation and ecological restoration. Point Washington is widely used for hunting, off-road bicycling, and hiking. On the area are several paved roads and numerous forest roads. This area is a site on the Great Florida Birding Trail.

Eden Gardens State Park is a 163 acres (0.66 km2) Florida State Park and historic site located in Point Washington, south of Freeport, off U.S. 98 on CR 395, in northwestern Florida at 181 Eden Gardens Road (CR 395) in Santa Rosa Beach. The park is centered on the Wesley House, a two-story mansion virtually surrounded by white columns and verandas. The house is notable for its furnishings, especially examples of late 18th century French furniture. The house was also used as the setting of the 1972 horror film Frogs. The Wesley House was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Eden Mansion on July 20, 2021. The site has various gardens, numerous large, old southern live oak trees, and frontage on Tucker Bayou. The park opens daily at 8:00 am and closes at sunset. An entry fee is required.

Deer Lake State Park is a Florida State Park located in Santa Rosa Beach, on CR 30A, in northwestern Florida. Its sister park is Grayton Beach State Recreation Area.

The Choctawhatchee River is a 141-mile-long (227 km) river in the southern United States, flowing through southeast Alabama and the Panhandle of Florida before emptying into Choctawhatchee Bay in Okaloosa and Walton counties. The river, the bay and their adjacent watersheds collectively drain 5,350 square miles (13,900 km2).

Seacrest and Seacrest Beach are communities located along County Road 30A in the Florida Panhandle. They are located at the eastern end of scenic highway 30A. Following the development of adjacent Alys Beach, the Seacrest Beach community is split into two geographic areas. The eastern side of Seacrest Beach borders Rosemary Beach and the western side borders WaterSound Beach. Recreational opportunities at the beach community include fishing, kayaking, swimming, golfing, and beachgoing. The nearby coastal dune lake, Camp Creek, offers hiking and bird watching.
