Duivendijke

Brijdorpe is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Zeeland. In 2023 the town of Brouwershaven had 1291 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.41 km2, and contained 759 residences. The statistical area "Brouwershaven", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1540.Brouwershaven was a separate municipality until 1997, when it was merged into Schouwen-Duiveland.

Middenschouwen was created in a merger of Duivendijke, Elkerzee, Ellemeet and Kerkwerve in 1961. It existed until 1997, when it was merged into the new municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland.

Rengerskerke en Zuidland is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It existed until 1813, when it was merged with Kerkwerve.The municipality consisted of two domains, Rengerskerke and Zuidland. Rengerskerke used to be a village about 3 km northwest of Zierikzee, until it was destroyed by a flood in 1662. Zuidland was a polder with a number of villages: Simonskerke, Zuidkerke, Brieskerke, Sint Jacobskerke and the hamlet of 's Heer-Arentshaven. All of the villages were destroyed by floods in the 16th century. In the 19th century, the remaining part of Rengerskerke and Zuidland had a population of only 120.

In 2008, it was bought and turned into a restaurant specialising in pan cakes. The flour for the pancakes is ground by the wind mill.Elkerzee was a separate municipality until 1961, when it was merged into Middenschouwen.

Scharendijke is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 24 km west of Hellevoetsluis. The village was first mentioned in 1487 as Schaerdendijke, and is a combination of dike and trench. Scharendijke is a dike village. It was originally a little hamlet. Between 1901 and 1902, a harbour was built and it developed into a little village around the harbour.Scharendijke was home to 204 people in 1840. Part of the village was rebuilt after the North Sea flood of 1953. From the 1970s onwards, holiday homes were built around the village.Scharendijke used to be part of the municipality of Elkerzee. In 1960, the municipality of Middenschouwen was created and Scharendijk became its capital. In 1997, it was merged into Schouwen-Duiveland.
