Cibiana di Cadore is a comune (municipality) in the province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Venice and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Belluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 454 and an area of 21.7 square kilometres (8.4 mi2). The municipality of Cibiana di Cadore contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Borgate: Masarié, Cibiana di Sotto, Pianezze, Strassei, Sù Gesia, Le Nove, Col, Pian Gran, and Dèona. Cibiana di Cadore borders the following municipalities: Forno di Zoldo, Ospitale di Cadore, Valle di Cadore, Vodo di Cadore.

Monte Antelao (Cadorino dialect: Nantelòu) is the highest mountain in the eastern Dolomites (a section of the Alps) in northeastern Italy, southeast of the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the region of Cadore. The Monte Antelao is an ultra-prominent peak (Ultra). It is known as the "King of the Dolomites" (Marmolada, the highest of all the Dolomites, is the "Queen" although composed mostly of limestones). As the highest pinnacle of the eastern Dolomites, the Antelao is not part of a closed massif or a high plateau, but a single, mighty rock pyramid. Like many Dolomite peaks, Antelao is steep, rocky, and pointed; it also sits close to the edge of the Dolomite uplift and so has dramatic drops to the nearby valleys. When the weather is good, Monte Antelao is clearly visible from Trieste on the Adriatic Sea. The summit was reached for the first time in 1850 by the hunter Matteo Ossi from San Vito, who then accompanied the mountaineer Paul Grohmann to the summit in 1863. The modern Alta Via 4 trail which goes through Antelao has a nickname Alta Via di Grohmann. The easiest route is from the north, known as the "Laste", a steep, narrow ridge. It involves a good deal of exposure, and a few short technical sections, such as a chimney, protected by cables. There is a refuge, the Rifugio Galassi, which is located below the Forcella Piccola in the upper Val d'Oten.

Forno di Zoldo was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Belluno in the Italian region Veneto, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) north of Venice and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of Belluno. It has been a frazione of Val di Zoldo since 2016. On 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,784 and an area of 79.9 square kilometres (30.8 mi2).

Cadore (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈdoːre]; Ladin: Ciadòre; Venetian: Cadór or, rarely, Cadòria; Austrian German: Cadober or Kadober; Sappada German: Kadour; Friulian: Cjadovri) is a historical region in the Italian region of Veneto, in the northernmost part of the province of Belluno bordering on Austria, the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is watered by the Piave River which has its source in the Carnic Alps. Once an undeveloped and poor district, the former contado (countship) of Cadore now has a thriving economy based on tourism and a small manufacturing industry, specialising in the production of glasses. The celebrated Renaissance painter Titian was born in Cadore, probably in 1488–90, one of a family of four born to Gregorio Vecelli, a distinguished councillor and soldier descended from the counts. The painter's birthplace in Pieve di Cadore, in a locality named Arsenale between the castle and the village Sotto Castello, is open to visitors. Titian's wife, Cecilia, was also born in Cadore, the daughter of a barber.

The Boite (Cadorino dialect, Guóite) is a river of the Province of Belluno, Veneto region, northern Italy. Passing through the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, it joins the Piave at Perarolo di Cadore. The principal valley, that of the Piave, runs parallel to the mountain chain which separates the province of Belluno from the basin of the Adige. The secondary valleys, which complete the river basin, are, in descending order and on the right bank, those of Visdende, Comelico Superiore, Auronzo, Boite and Zoldo, traversed, respectively, by the Silvella, or first branch of the Piave, the Padola, Ansiei, Boite, and Mae, which all flow into the main river in a rectangular direction.
