Forno di Zoldo

Val di Zoldo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Belluno in the Italian region Veneto. It was established on 23 February 2016 by the merger of the municipalities of Forno di Zoldo and Zoldo Alto.

A boarding school was established in the 1950s, used by the children during spring and autumn and senior citizens during the winter months. On 31 January 1991 the municipality was affected by the Ru Duelle Roe landslide, which affected the right flank of the Ru delle Roe stream in the dolomitic slopes of Cime di San Sebastiano and Moiazza. The region is a producer of fresh and mature cheeses.

The Cibiana Pass (Italian: Passo Cibiana) (1,530 m / 5,020 ft) is a high mountain pass in the southern Dolomites in the Province of Belluno in Italy. It connects Val Boise in the east with Val di Zoldo in the west, forming a natural saddle between Col Alto (2,145 m) to the northwest and Sassolungo di Cibiana (2,413 m) to the southeast.

Monte Pelmo is a mountain of the Dolomites, in the province of Belluno, Northeastern Italy. The mountain resembles a giant block which stands isolated from other peaks, so can be seen clearly from the neighbouring valleys and from nearby mountains such as Antelao and Monte Civetta. Monte Pelmo was one of the first major Dolomite peaks to be climbed, by Englishman John Ball, who later became president of the UK's Alpine Club, in 1857. He set out with a chamois hunter from the Boitevalley towards Monte Pelmo. Over the long ledge named after Ball, which the chamois hunters refused to cross, Ball got into the large cirque, through which he climbed over the small Pelmo glacier to below the summit structure. West of the summit lies a secondary peak, Pelmetto (meaning "Little Pelmo" in Italian), at 2,990m high, which has a 1,100-metre (3,609 ft) high north face.So there are only a few possibilities for climbing. The best known (and easiest) ascent leads over the south-east flank. The route of the first climbers still offers a rewarding but long and strenuous mountain tour in the second degree of difficulty. Problems can be found with the above-mentioned, exposed ball band. Climbing skills and surefootedness are necessary. The ascent of Monte Pelmo should also be carried out in safe weather and without snow. On some rocks on its western side people can admire dinosaurs prints (Sign "Orme di Dinosauri"). These are the traces of at least three dinosaurs that are approx. 220 million years old. From the path to the tracks you walk steeply uphill for about half an hour.This mountain is surnamed "God's armchair" because its shape looks like a huge armchair.

The Duran Pass (Italian: Passo Duran) (el. 1601 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in the province of Belluno in Italy. It is situated between the municipality of La Valle Agordina and Zoldo Alto; it connects Agordo in the Cordevole valley and Pralongo in the Zoldo valley. The pass road is SS 347. There are two restaurants and a little church at the summit. The pass is regularly used on the Giro d'Italia, with the last edition to climb the Duran being the 2012 Giro. Climbing from the classic Agordo side, the climb averages 8.1% for 12.2 km, with a maximum gradient of 14%.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 454 and an area of 21.7 square kilometres (8.4 mi2). The municipality of Cibiana di Cadore contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Borgate: Masarié, Cibiana di Sotto, Pianezze, Strassei, Sù Gesia, Le Nove, Col, Pian Gran, and Dèona. Cibiana di Cadore borders the following municipalities: Forno di Zoldo, Ospitale di Cadore, Valle di Cadore, Vodo di Cadore.

San Vito di Cadore is a small town and comune in the province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto in the Dolomites. The distance to Cortina d'Ampezzo measures 9 kilometres (6 mi). The nearest mountain is Monte Antelao. The town is a year-round tourist destination. It is the last town before Cortina d'Ampezzo on the SS51 Alemagna State Road that connects Belluno to Toblach.

Forcella Staulanza (el. 1766 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in the province of Belluno in Italy. It connects the Zoldo valley in the south and the Fiorentina valley in the north.
