ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center is a collaborative venture of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and the Children's Theater of Charlotte located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This 102,000-square-foot (9,500 m2) landmark learning center opened on October 8, 2005. ImaginOn was designed by Gantt Huberman Architects and Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture, and is owned by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. ImaginOn hosts the Spangler Children's Library; the Teen Loft, a library for the teens of Mecklenburg County; Time Warner Tech Central; the Story Lab, a collection of interactive multimedia workstations exploring the arts of narrative; Studio I, an audio/video recording and animation studio; the Hugh McColl Family Theater (seating capacity 570); and the Wells Fargo Playhouse (seating capacity 250), as well as administrative offices for the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and library staff. ImaginOn is notable as the first LEED-certified public facility in Mecklenburg County. ImaginOn is certified as a 'green' building at the silver level by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Levine Museum of the New South, is a history museum located in Charlotte, North Carolina whose exhibits focus on life in the North Carolina Piedmont after the American Civil War. The museum includes temporary and permanent exhibits on a range of Southern-related topics. Founded in 1991 as the Museum of the New South, it was renamed after museum patron and Family Dollar founder Leon Levine in 2001, also the year the current facility at 7th and College Streets downtown opened.

First Ward Park is a 4.6 acre urban park in the First Ward neighborhood of Uptown Charlotte. After a national competition to attract architects, the firm Shadley Associates was selected to build the park. The park incorporates the existing Dixie's Tavern and UNCC buildings, and new construction will include an office tower, hotel, and parking deck on adjacent land.The park is located at the corner of 7th and Brevard St, adjacent to ImaginOn and the Lynx light rail tracks. Completion of the park occurred on December 8, 2015 with a dedication ceremony followed by tours of the park. This marked the completion of a major park in each of Uptown Charlotte's four wards.

Philip Carey Building is a historic warehouse building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, USA. It was built in 1907–1908, and is a two-story, brick building with elaborate Victorian Romanesque style brickwork.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Spectrum Center is an indoor arena located in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It is owned by the city of Charlotte and operated by its main tenant, the NBA's Charlotte Hornets. The arena seats 19,077 for NBA games but can be expanded to 20,200 for college basketball games.

The Ellis is a high-rise residential building in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. Construction was completed on June 23, 2021. It was developed by Lennar. It is between Eight and Ninth Streets on N College St fronting the Lynx Blue Line. The 3.5 acre lot was purchased from Levine Properties in 2017 for $23 million. Previously the property was a surface parking lot. The building aligns with the ongoing project the North Tryon Vision which is working to revitalize a 50 square block area of North Tryon St. Although the project is officially not part of the North Tryon Vision since it's located on North College Street.

1 Bank of America Center is a 484-foot (148 m) tall office high-rise in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the 9th-tallest building in North Carolina and was completed in 2010 with 32 stories. With 746,152 square feet (69,319.8 m2) of leasable space, it is the 10th largest office building in Charlotte. It shares a second-story atrium with the adjacent Ritz-Carlton Hotel and is connected to the Bank of America Corporate Center by two skybridges, as part of the Overstreet Mall.

Spirit Square, also called Spirit Square Center for the Arts, is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its McGlohon Theater in the former First Baptist Church on North Tryon Street, named for Loonis McGlohon, is now part of North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.

Commercial Building at 500 North Tryon Street is a historic commercial building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect Louis H. Asbury and built in 1921. It is a two-story with full basement, rectangular building with load-bearing brick walls. It measures approximately 46 feet in width and 146 feet in depth. The building originally housed an automobile dealership.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Barringer Hotel, also known as Hall House, is a historic hotel building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The 12-story, red brick building consists of the main block constructed in 1940 and five-bay-deep rear addition in 1950. The tall first level of the façade features Art Deco-style decoration including a cast-concrete frontispiece with a low-relief stepped parallel lines and terminates at the top into a zig-zag pattern. The City of Charlotte renovated the structure in 1983 to apartments for elderly, low-income residents.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Charlotte metropolitan area, sometimes referred to as Metrolina, is a metropolitan area of the U.S. states of North and South Carolina, within and surrounding the city of Charlotte. Located in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the sixth-largest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the city's location at the junction of I-85 and I-77 makes it a highway logistics center. The Charlotte metro is also the center of American auto racing and is home to the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and Charlotte FC. The Charlotte metro is home to a number of prominent higher education institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Queens University of Charlotte, Davidson College, Belmont Abbey College, and many more.
