ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center is a collaborative venture of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and the Children's Theater of Charlotte located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This 102,000-square-foot (9,500 m2) landmark learning center opened on October 8, 2005. ImaginOn was designed by Gantt Huberman Architects and Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture, and is owned by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. ImaginOn hosts the Spangler Children's Library; the Teen Loft, a library for the teens of Mecklenburg County; Time Warner Tech Central; the Story Lab, a collection of interactive multimedia workstations exploring the arts of narrative; Studio I, an audio/video recording and animation studio; the Hugh McColl Family Theater (seating capacity 570); and the Wells Fargo Playhouse (seating capacity 250), as well as administrative offices for the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and library staff. ImaginOn is notable as the first LEED-certified public facility in Mecklenburg County. ImaginOn is certified as a 'green' building at the silver level by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Ellis is a high-rise residential building in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. Construction was completed on June 23, 2021. It was developed by Lennar. It is between Eight and Ninth Streets on N College St fronting the Lynx Blue Line. The 3.5 acre lot was purchased from Levine Properties in 2017 for $23 million. Previously the property was a surface parking lot. The building aligns with the ongoing project the North Tryon Vision which is working to revitalize a 50 square block area of North Tryon St. Although the project is officially not part of the North Tryon Vision since it's located on North College Street.

The Levine Museum of the New South, is a history museum located in Charlotte, North Carolina whose exhibits focus on life in the North Carolina Piedmont after the American Civil War. The museum includes temporary and permanent exhibits on a range of Southern-related topics. Founded in 1991 as the Museum of the New South, it was renamed after museum patron and Family Dollar founder Leon Levine in 2001, also the year the current facility at 7th and College Streets downtown opened.

9th Street is a light rail station in Charlotte, North Carolina. The at-grade dual side platforms are a stop along the Lynx Blue Line and serves Uptown Charlotte's First Ward as well as First Ward Park and the UNC Charlotte Center City Campus.

Commercial Building at 500 North Tryon Street is a historic commercial building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect Louis H. Asbury and built in 1921. It is a two-story with full basement, rectangular building with load-bearing brick walls. It measures approximately 46 feet in width and 146 feet in depth. The building originally housed an automobile dealership.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Barringer Hotel, also known as Hall House, is a historic hotel building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The 12-story, red brick building consists of the main block constructed in 1940 and five-bay-deep rear addition in 1950. The tall first level of the façade features Art Deco-style decoration including a cast-concrete frontispiece with a low-relief stepped parallel lines and terminates at the top into a zig-zag pattern. The City of Charlotte renovated the structure in 1983 to apartments for elderly, low-income residents.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Philip Carey Building is a historic warehouse building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, USA. It was built in 1907–1908, and is a two-story, brick building with elaborate Victorian Romanesque style brickwork.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Spectrum Center is an indoor arena located in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It is owned by the city of Charlotte and operated by its main tenant, the NBA's Charlotte Hornets. The arena seats 19,077 for NBA games but can be expanded to 20,200 for college basketball games.

Spirit Square, also called Spirit Square Center for the Arts, is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its McGlohon Theater in the former First Baptist Church on North Tryon Street, named for Loonis McGlohon, is now part of North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.

525 North Tryon (also known as Odell Plaza) is a 330 feet (101 m) office skyscraper located in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the 25th tallest building in Charlotte, and the 33rd tallest in North Carolina. It was built in 1999 and has 19 floors and 406,000 square feet (37,700 m2). The building also includes a 607-car below-grade parking garage. Located at North Tryon Street and Ninth Street, 525 North Tryon counts Bank of America and the Centralina Council of Governments as tenants. On December 3, 2012, Parkway Properties Inc. of Orlando, Florida announced its $47.4 million purchase of the building from First States Investors 5000A LLC.

The Charlotte metropolitan area, sometimes referred to as Metrolina, is a metropolitan area of the U.S. states of North and South Carolina, within and surrounding the city of Charlotte. The metropolitan area also includes the cities of Gastonia, Concord, Huntersville, and Rock Hill as well as the large suburban area in the counties surrounding Mecklenburg County, which is at the center of the metro area. Located in the Piedmont, it is the largest metropolitan area in the Carolinas, and the fourth largest in the Southeastern United States. The Charlotte metropolitan area is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States.There are two official metropolitan boundaries for the Charlotte metropolitan area: the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and the Charlotte-Concord Combined Statistical Area (CSA). The two regions are identical except for the addition of two micropolitan areas, Shelby and Albemarle to the Charlotte-Concord CSA that are not included in the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia MSA. The Charlotte metro area is a major financial center, transportation hub, and entertainment destination. Charlotte is the second largest financial hub in the United States behind New York City, being the headquarters for Bank of America and Truist Financial as well as housing the East Coast headquarters and largest employment hub of Wells Fargo. Other Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the metro area include Brighthouse Financial, Duke Energy, Honeywell, Lowe's, and Nucor. The Charlotte metro area is the largest manufacturing region in the Carolinas. The estimated gross metropolitan product (GMP) of the metro area is over $170 billion. Located in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Douglas International Airport is the sixth-largest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the city's location at the junction of I-85 and I-77 makes it a highway logistics center. The Charlotte metro is also the center of American auto racing and is home to the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, and Charlotte FC. The Charlotte metro is home to a number of prominent higher education institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Queens University of Charlotte, Davidson College, Belmont Abbey College, and many more. The primary community college for the area is Central Piedmont Community College, which has several campuses throughout Charlotte and the surrounding region.

The Carolina Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a historic movie house currently undergoing restoration to become a performing arts center and civic convening space. The theatre is owned by the nonprofit Foundation For The Carolinas.
