Ilmington

Flowers Wood is a community woodland near Ilmington in Warwickshire, England. It covers a total area of 1.67 hectares (4.13 acres). It is owned and managed by the Woodland Trust. It was one of 200 "Woods on Your Doorstep" created by the Woodland Trust to mark the year 2000 in conjunction with the Millennium Commission, the Forestry Commission and the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts.

The Ilmington Downs are a large open area situated in Warwickshire, just above the small village of Ilmington. It is the highest point in Warwickshire at 858 feet with good views of that part of the Cotswolds.

Admington is a village and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of the English county of Warwickshire. The name Admington means "estate associated with a man called Æthelhelm" and the village is referred to in the Domesday Book as Edelmintone. Until 31 March 1931 the parish was a part of Gloucestershire. The village lies 1+3⁄4 miles (2.8 km) north-west of Ilmington and 5+1⁄2 miles (8.9 km) north-east of Chipping Campden. The parish has an area of 997 acres (403 ha). Admington shares a village hall with the neighbouring village of Quinton. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 100. The 2011 census gives population details combined with those of Quinton. Admington is the location of Admington Hall, an early 17th-century country house with an 18th-century façade.

Ebrington Hill is a hill in Warwickshire, England, which at 261 m (856 ft) is the highest in the county. It is situated between the villages of Ebrington, Mickleton and Ilmington on the Warwickshire and Gloucestershire border in the Cotswolds.The summit lies within the modern administrative boundaries of Warwickshire following boundary changes over the last century, but technically the summit was historically (just) over the border in Gloucestershire. The true historic county top of Warwickshire thus lies about 30m south of the summit on a track (grid reference SP 18778 42599, height 260 metres (850 ft)). The triangulation pillar at 259 metres (850 ft) is not the summit of the hill.

Hidcote Bartrim is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ebrington, in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England. The nearest town is Chipping Campden, which is approximately 2.75 miles (4.43 km) south-west from the village. The village is on the Gloucestershire-Warwickshire border. It should not be confused with Hidcote Boyce, a similarly sized village roughly 0.5 miles (0.80 km) south of Hidcote Bartrim. In 1931 the parish had a population of 47.Hidcote Manor Garden is one of the best-known and most influential Arts and Crafts gardens in Britain, with its linked "rooms" of hedges, rare trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders. Created by Lawrence Johnston, it is owned by the National Trust and is open to the public. Kiftsgate Court Gardens, created by Heather Muir in the 1920s, is also adjacent to the village. Other major attractions include the duck pond, the field with a tree in the middle and the so-called ‘avenue of trees’. The latter affords visitors beautiful views of the Warwickshire countryside from a raised vantage point, over 600 ft above sea level.

Armscote is a small village some three miles north of Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire, England. It is a mile off the A429 road, which is the modern line of the Fosse Way Roman road. A major event of interest in the history of the village was the visit of George Fox, the Quaker founder. It was here in 1673 that he preached and was then arrested.

Stretton-on-Fosse is a village in the Stratford District in Warwickshire, England. It is situated between the towns of Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipston-on-Stour. The village is situated along the ancient Fosse Way road which runs from Exeter in Devon to Lincoln in Lincolnshire. The road bypasses the village to the east and is now the modern-day A429 road. The village is close to the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire border. While the lower ground of the village is heavy clay the upper parts are composed of sand and shingle. During commercial extraction of sand important graves of the Roman-British and Anglo-Saxon periods were uncovered and interesting skeletons and personal belongings were unearthed. These burials were the result of internecine warfare between local tribal factions.
