V. J. Keefe Memorial Stadium was a multi-use stadium in San Antonio, Texas, USA. It was initially used as the stadium of San Antonio Missions games. It was replaced by Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium for the Missions in 1994. The stadium opened in 1960 and had a final capacity 3,500 spectators.The stadium was located on the campus of St. Mary's University and continued to be used by the school's baseball team until 2013. It was replaced by Dickson Stadium, which was built upon the steel structure of the old venue.

Northside Independent School District is a school district headquartered in Leon Valley, Texas. It is the largest school district in the San Antonio area and the fourth largest in the State of Texas. Northside serves 355 square miles (920 km2) of urban landscape, suburban growth and rural territory in the San Antonio suburbs and the Hill Country. Northside is roughly 50 percent built out with the center of the district's boundaries near Helotes, just north of the Bandera Road and Loop 1604 intersection. The district also serves some unincorporated portions of Bexar, Bandera and Medina counties. In 2011, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency for the fourth consecutive year.

Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), known locally as the Lake, is a private Catholic university in San Antonio, Texas. It was founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, a religious institute originating in Lorraine, France, during the 18th century. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower also called Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Thérèse Church is a historic Roman Catholic church, located in San Antonio, Texas, in the United States. The church is distinguished as one of 84 in the United States (and one of only four in the state of Texas) bearing the papal designation of "minor basilica." Despite its religious importance it is not the cathedral of the local diocese; that distinction belongs to San Fernando Cathedral.

Lerma's Nite Club is a former conjunto music venue located in San Antonio, Texas. The building was constructed in 1942, with Lerma's first opening in approximately 1948 under the name El Sombrero, taking up the southern end of the building located on 1602–1612 North Zarzamora Street. The club operated until 2010, when it was shut down due to the building violating safety regulations. The venue appeared in the 1997 film Selena. On March 21, 2011, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places due to its significance in the Hispanic community as well as due to being an important entertainment venue.The building is an example of Streamline Moderne architecture.In 2016, $500,000 was added to San Antonio's city budget dedicated to renovation of the building.

Balcones Heights is a city in Bexar County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,941 at the 2010 census, and it was incorporated in 1948. Balcones Heights is an enclave of San Antonio, surrounded entirely by the city, thus some residents and out-of-town visitors erroneously consider it merely a neighborhood of the larger city rather than its own unique community which did so to prevent annexation.
