The Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD), formerly known as the School for the Deaf and Blind (SDB), is a learning institution for individuals with hearing impairments in the Philippines. Established in 1907, the institution is a semi-residential school and is the only deaf school owned by the Philippine government.

Manila Tytana Colleges (MTC), or just simply Tytana ( tee-TAN-ah), the educational arm of the Metrobank group, is a private college in Pasay, Philippines.. In 2010, Manila Doctors College transformed into Manila Tytana Colleges. The same year, the new name was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), while the operative date of use was set to June 1, 2011. The College of Nursing, retaining the former name of the college, is now called Manila Doctors College of Nursing.

The Cuneta Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay, Philippines. The arena has hosted Philippine Basketball Association games from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2001 onwards, and also currently serves as the home arena of the Pasay Voyagers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. It also became the permanent home of the now-defunct Philippine Super Liga since 2014. It has also hosted a slew of other political, evangelical gatherings and church anniversaries. Despite its name, the Cuneta Astrodome is not a dome-shaped indoor arena, since its exterior is rectangular in shape.

The Baclaran Mosque, formally called the Rajah Sulaiman Grand Mosque was a mosque in Barangay Baclaran at the border of Pasay and Parañaque in Metro Manila, Philippines. The mosque, along with nearby shopping stalls, was demolished by local authorities in 2013, due to tenants' lack of legal ownership of the site, and an ordinance to widen city streets and prevent pickpocketing and violence in the area. A belfry for the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is currently being built in its place, as part of the shrine's redevelopment plan that is expected to be completed in 2016.

Baclaran is a barangay located in the northern area of the city of Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is also known to be located at the borders of the cities of Parañaque and Pasay. Because of its proximity to the shore of Manila Bay, the place was named after a piece of fishing equipment called "baklad". Baklad is a rattan fence placed around the fish to protect them until they are ready to be sold in the market. Many of these baklads were assembled at the seashore, so people started calling the place "Bakladan". The Filipino grammatical feature of changing d's to r's when a suffix is added changed this to "Baclaran".

Baclaran station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. Located on the last stretches of Taft Avenue in Pasay right at the border with Baclaran, Parañaque, it is the current southern terminus of the line. The terminal is named after the famous shopping district of the same name, which is located on the borders of the cities of Pasay and Parañaque. Baclaran is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad, and EDSA. The line's depot where its trains are stored, maintained and cleaned is located near the terminal. The terminal is near one of the country's most famous landmarks, the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, home of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It is also near to the numerous dry goods and flea markets (tiangges) selling everything from clothes and electronics to home decorations and traditional medicine.

EDSA station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located on the intersection of Taft Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, or EDSA, one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares. The station was named after EDSA, which in turn is named after Epifanio de los Santos, a noted historian. The station is the second station for trains headed to Roosevelt, the nineteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad and Baclaran.

The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (Filipino: Pambansáng Dambana ng Iná ng Laging Saklolo; Spanish: Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro), also known as the Redemptorist Church (Spanish: Iglesia Redentorista) and colloquially as Baclaran Church (Filipino: Simbahan ng Baclaran), is a national shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help along Roxas Boulevard in Baclaran, Parañaque city of Metro Manila, Philippines. The church enshrines the icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, and is one of the largest Marian churches in the Philippines. Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help is popular amongst Filipino Catholics, who flood the church on Wednesdays to attend Mass and pray the Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. In Manila, Wednesdays are popularly called "Baclaran Day" due to congested roads near the shrine. The original icon enshrined above the main altar came from Germany before priests of the Redemptorist Order brought it to what was then the United States territory of the Philippine Islands in 1906. Since 1958, the shrine has been authorised by the Holy See to remain open 24 hours a day throughout the entire year. The wider shrine complex also serves as the headquarters of the Manila Vice Province of Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, while the Cebu Province of the Redemptorists is headquartered in Cebu. The shrine's current rector is the Rev. Fr. Rico John Bilangel, C.Ss.R. The shrine celebrates its annual feast day on June 27, the liturgical feast day of the icon.

The Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS) is a Maritime Higher Education Institution (MHEI) in Pasay, Philippines that provides highly technical learning in maritime education. It is a specialized maritime learning and research institution and considered one of the top performing maritime schools in the Philippines consistently producing top-notchers in board examinations. It was founded in 1993 by Captain Wilijado P. Abuid along with other maritime leaders to provide world-class maritime education to the Filipino youth. AIMS is a non-stock, non-profit educational institution comprising the School of Merchant Marine (SMM), School of Maritime Business (SMB), School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), School of Heritage Education (SHE), and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). The five schools have different field of study but as a whole it forms a coherent structure which supports the development of the Philippine maritime industry.
