The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (Filipino: Pambansáng Dambana ng Iná ng Laging Saklolo; Spanish: Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro), also known as the Redemptorist Church (Spanish: Iglesia Redentorista) and colloquially as Baclaran Church (Filipino: Simbahan ng Baclaran), is a national shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help along Roxas Boulevard in Baclaran, Parañaque city of Metro Manila, Philippines. The church enshrines the icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, and is one of the largest Marian churches in the Philippines. Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help is popular amongst Filipino Catholics, who flood the church on Wednesdays to attend Mass and pray the Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. In Manila, Wednesdays are popularly called "Baclaran Day" due to congested roads near the shrine. The original icon enshrined above the main altar came from Germany before priests of the Redemptorist Order brought it to what was then the United States territory of the Philippine Islands in 1906. Since 1958, the shrine has been authorised by the Holy See to remain open 24 hours a day throughout the entire year. The wider shrine complex also serves as the headquarters of the Manila Vice Province of Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, while the Cebu Province of the Redemptorists is headquartered in Cebu. The shrine's current rector is the Rev. Fr. Rico John Bilangel, C.Ss.R. The shrine celebrates its annual feast day on June 27, the liturgical feast day of the icon.

The Baclaran Mosque, formally called the Rajah Sulaiman Grand Mosque was a mosque in Barangay Baclaran at the border of Pasay and Parañaque in Metro Manila, Philippines. The mosque, along with nearby shopping stalls, was demolished by local authorities in 2013, due to tenants' lack of legal ownership of the site, and an ordinance to widen city streets and prevent pickpocketing and violence in the area. A belfry for the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is currently being built in its place, as part of the shrine's redevelopment plan that is expected to be completed in 2016.

Macapagal Boulevard, also known as President Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard and Macapagal Avenue, is an eight-lane road in Metro Manila, Philippines, running parallel to Roxas Boulevard from the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay to Asia World City in Parañaque. It was named after former Philippine President Diosdado Macapagal. This road has three major bridges, crossing the 'channels', of which the largest is the Libertad Channel, where the Libertad Water Pumping Station is situated. Thanks to intersection reconfiguring around EDSA to relieve traffic, Macapagal Boulevard is now often used to access the SM Mall of Asia to the north and Cavite to the south. It is also the main major road in Metro Manila's reclamation area called Bay City.

San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. (SJDEFI or SJ, formerly Hospital de San Juan de Dios) is a private, non-stock, non-profit, joint institute of education and tertiary health sciences operating as a college and a hospital in Pasay, Philippines. Both the colleges and hospital are run by the Daughters of Charity. It started out as a hospital in 1578. The hospital is considered the oldest hospital in the Philippines. It is named after San Juan de Dios, a Portuguese-born soldier that turned health-care worker of Spain. Throughout the years, the school has received accreditation from organizations such as the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), the Department of Education (DepEd). It has also become a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

City of Dreams Manila is a 6.2-hectare (15-acre) luxury integrated resort and casino complex located on the Entertainment City gaming strip at Asean Avenue and Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Taft Avenue station is a Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3 and is the line's only station in Pasay. Located at the intersection of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares, and Taft Avenue usually referred to as Pasay Rotonda or EDSA-Taft, it is the southern terminus of the line. The station is named after Taft Avenue, which is in turn named after former U.S. President and U.S. Chief Justice William Howard Taft, who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1901 to 1903. It is one of five stations on the line where passengers can catch a train going in the opposite direction without paying a new fare due to the station's layout. The other four stations are Araneta Center-Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, Buendia, and Ayala. Excluding Araneta Center-Cubao station, it is also one of four stations on the line with its concourse level located above the platform. However, crowd control measures at the station currently discourage passengers from switching trains at the platform level. The station's location as a terminus has helped create many businesses in the area, from the number of hotels and motels to restaurants and shops, with a good majority of them being a short walk from the station.

Baclaran station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. Located on the last stretches of Taft Avenue in Pasay right at the border with Baclaran, Parañaque, it is the current southern terminus of the line. The terminal is named after the famous shopping district of the same name, which is located on the borders of the cities of Pasay and Parañaque. Baclaran is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad, and EDSA. The line's depot where its trains are stored, maintained and cleaned is located near the terminal. The terminal is near one of the country's most famous landmarks, the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, home of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It is also near to the numerous dry goods and flea markets (tiangges) selling everything from clothes and electronics to home decorations and traditional medicine.

The station is located on the intersection of Taft Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, or EDSA, one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares. The station was named after EDSA, which in turn is named after Epifanio de los Santos, a noted historian. The station is the second station for trains headed to Roosevelt, the nineteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad and Baclaran.

The Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD), formerly known as the School for the Deaf and Blind (SDB), is a learning institution for individuals with hearing impairments in the Philippines. Established in 1907, the institution is a semi-residential school and is the only deaf school owned by the Philippine government.

The SM Mall of Asia Arena, also known as the Mall of Asia Arena or the MoA Arena, is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000. The Arena officially opened on May 21, 2012. It has retractable seats and a 2,000-capacity car park building. The SM Mall of Asia Arena is the alternate venue of the Philippine Basketball Association when the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City is unavailable. The arena is also one of the main venues for the University Athletic Association of the Philippines and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
