San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. (SJDEFI or SJ, formerly Hospital de San Juan de Dios) is a private, non-stock, non-profit, joint institute of education and tertiary health sciences operating as a college and a hospital in Pasay, Philippines. Both the colleges and hospital are run by the Daughters of Charity. It started out as a hospital in 1578. The hospital is considered the oldest hospital in the Philippines. It is named after San Juan de Dios, a Portuguese-born soldier that turned health-care worker of Spain. Throughout the years, the school has received accreditation from organizations such as the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), the Department of Education (DepEd). It has also become a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

The Cuneta Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay, Philippines. The arena has hosted Philippine Basketball Association games from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2001 onwards, and also currently serves as the home arena of the Pasay Voyagers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. It also became the permanent home of the now-defunct Philippine Super Liga since 2014. It has also hosted a slew of other political, evangelical gatherings and church anniversaries. Despite its name, the Cuneta Astrodome is not a dome-shaped indoor arena, since its exterior is rectangular in shape.

The Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS) is a Maritime Higher Education Institution (MHEI) in Pasay, Philippines that provides highly technical learning in maritime education. It is a specialized maritime learning and research institution and considered one of the top performing maritime schools in the Philippines consistently producing top-notchers in board examinations. It was founded in 1993 by Captain Wilijado P. Abuid along with other maritime leaders to provide world-class maritime education to the Filipino youth. AIMS is a non-stock, non-profit educational institution comprising the School of Merchant Marine (SMM), School of Maritime Business (SMB), School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), School of Heritage Education (SHE), and the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). The five schools have different field of study but as a whole it forms a coherent structure which supports the development of the Philippine maritime industry.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA; Filipino: Kagawaran ng Ugnayang Panlabas) is the executive department of the Philippine government tasked to contribute to the enhancement of national security, protection of the territorial integrity and national sovereignty, to participate in the national endeavor of sustaining development and enhancing the Philippines' competitive edge, to protect the rights and promote the welfare of Filipinos overseas and to mobilize them as partners in national development, to project a positive image of the Philippines, and to increase international understanding of Philippine culture for mutually-beneficial relations with other countries. The secretary of foreign affairs is a member of the Cabinet.

Baclaran station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. Located on the last stretches of Taft Avenue in Pasay right at the border with Baclaran, Parañaque, it is the current southern terminus of the line. The terminal is named after the famous shopping district of the same name, which is located on the borders of the cities of Pasay and Parañaque. Baclaran is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad, and EDSA. The line's depot where its trains are stored, maintained and cleaned is located near the terminal. The terminal is near one of the country's most famous landmarks, the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, home of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It is also near to the numerous dry goods and flea markets (tiangges) selling everything from clothes and electronics to home decorations and traditional medicine.

EDSA station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located on the intersection of Taft Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, or EDSA, one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares. The station was named after EDSA, which in turn is named after Epifanio de los Santos, a noted historian. The station is the second station for trains headed to Roosevelt, the nineteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four Line 1 stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, Libertad and Baclaran.

Libertad station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Pasay. It is situated at the corner of Taft Avenue and Arnaiz Avenue. The station is named after the former Libertad (Spanish for "liberty") Street, which is a junction of both Roxas Boulevard and Taft Avenue in Pasay. The name Libertad survives as an area name, nowadays, after Libertad Street became a part of Antonio Arnaiz Avenue. Libertad station is the third station for trains headed to Fernando Poe Jr., the eighteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, EDSA, and Baclaran.

Francis Burton Harrison Avenue, commonly known as F. B. Harrison Avenue or Harrison Avenue, is a major north-south collector road in Pasay, western Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a four-lane undivided arterial running parallel to Roxas Boulevard to the west and Taft Avenue to the east, from Pasay's border with Malate district in the north to Baclaran in Parañaque in the south. The avenue is named for U.S. Governor-General of the Philippines, Francis Burton Harrison.

Taft Avenue station is a Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3 and is the line's only station in Pasay. Located at the intersection of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares, and Taft Avenue usually referred to as Pasay Rotonda or EDSA-Taft, it is the southern terminus of the line. The station is named after Taft Avenue, which is in turn named after former U.S. President and U.S. Chief Justice William Howard Taft, who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1901 to 1903. It is one of five stations on the line where passengers can catch a train going in the opposite direction without paying a new fare due to the station's layout. The other four stations are Araneta Center-Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, Buendia, and Ayala. Excluding Araneta Center-Cubao station, it is also one of four stations on the line with its concourse level located above the platform. However, crowd control measures at the station currently discourage passengers from switching trains at the platform level. The station's location as a terminus has helped create many businesses in the area, from the number of hotels and motels to restaurants and shops, with a good majority of them being a short walk from the station.
