Höllental (Wetterstein)

The Höllentalanger Hut (1,381 m) is a managed hut owned by the German Alpine Club in the Wetterstein Mountains of Bavaria, in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The hut lies in a narrow defile between the Höllental-Blassen and Waxenstein-Riffelwand crest and is open from the end of May to mid-October. It has more than 80 bedspaces. Its predecessor, with 80 bedspaces, was demolished in September 2013 in order to make way for an entirely new hut. It was built in 2014/15 and opened on 23 August 2015.

Osterfelderkopf (elevation 2,057 m (6,749 ft)) is a summit of the Wetterstein range in the German state of Bavaria.

The Hochblassen is a mountain 2,706 metres (8,878 ft) high, located in the Wetterstein in the German state of Bavaria. In addition to the main summit, it has a sub-peak, the so-called Signalgipfel ("signal peak") which is 2,698 metres (8,852 ft) high. It was first climbed in 1871 by Hermann von Barth and Peter Klaisl.

The Alpspitze is a mountain, 2628 m, in Bavaria, Germany. Its pyramidal peak is the symbol of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and is one of the best known and most attractive mountains of the Northern Limestone Alps. It is made predominantly of Wetterstein limestone from the Upper Triassic.

The Vollkarspitze is a 2,630 m high mountain in the Wetterstein group in Germany that, until 2001, had twin peaks. It is only crossed by climbers making their way along the arête of the Jubiläumsgrat. At the beginning of the 2000s the western summit broke off, and with it a long section of the safety equipment on the Jubiläumsgrat. The new route is the heart of the Klettersteig section of the Jubiläumsgrat.

The Jubiläumsgrat ("Jubilee Arête") or Jubiläumsweg ("Jubilee Way"), also nicknamed Jubi in climbing circles, is the name given to the climbing route along the arête between the Zugspitze (2,962 m) and the Hochblassen (2,706 m) (hence it is also called the Blassenkamm which means "Blassen Crest"). In front of its northwestern end, at the wind gap known as Falsche Grießkarscharte, climbers normally cross over to the Alpspitze (2,628 m) or down to the Matheisen cirque. Along the arête the three peaks of the Höllentalspitzen (2,740 m), the Vollkarspitze (2,630 m) and several rises have to be assailed or circumnavigated. The route is a serious, high Alpine tour and not, as often described, a Klettersteig.

The Höllentalspitzen are three peaks in the Wetterstein Mountains near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in southern Germany. They rise from the ridge of Blassenkamm which runs eastwards from Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, and separate the Hölle Valley to the north from the Reintal Valley to the south. The summit nearest to the Zugspitze is the Inner Höllentalspitze (Innere Höllentalspitze), 2,741 metres (8,993 ft) high; this is followed by the main summit Middle Höllentalspitze (Mittlere Höllentalspitze), 2,743 metres (8,999 ft) high; and the Outer Höllentalspitze (Äußeren Höllentalspitze) at 2,720 metres (8,920 ft).

Bernadeinkopf (elevation 2,143 m (7,031 ft)) is a summit of the Wetterstein range in the German state of Bavaria.

Hammersbach (758 m above sea level) is a village in the municipality of Grainau at the foot of the Wetterstein Mountains in South Germany. It is located at the southwestern end of the market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and is an important base for tours by mountaineers and hikers. There is a halt on the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway and Eibsee bus within the parish, which runs from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the Eibsee.

The Reintalanger Hut (1,366 m) is an Alpine Club hut in the Wetterstein Mountains at the head of the Reintal valley. The River Partnach has its source in the vicinity. West of the hut the valley floor climbs steeply up to the plateau of the Zugspitzplatt below Germany's highest mountain. The hut belongs to the Munich section of the German Alpine Club and the administrative district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was built in 1912 and is a Category 1 hut. The house has 132 bedspaces and is managed from the end of May to mid-October.

Grainau is a municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in southern Bavaria, Germany. It is located at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain, the tallest mountain in Germany in the sub-mountain range of the Wetterstein Alps which is a branch off the main mountain range it is connected to, the Alps. Lake Eibsee in Grainau lies at the foot of the Zugspitze surrounded by forest.
