Fuchū Station (Tokyo)

Fuchū (府中市, Fuchū-shi) is a city located in western Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. Fuchū serves as a regional commercial center and a commuter town for workers in central Tokyo. The city hosts large scale manufacturing facilities for Toshiba, NEC and Suntory, as well as the Bank of Japan's main computer operations center. Local sporting attractions include the Tokyo Racecourse and the training grounds of Top League rugby teams Toshiba Brave Lupus and Suntory Sungoliath. As of 1 April 2021, the city had an estimated population of 260,508, and a population density of 8,900 persons per square kilometer. The total area of the city is 29.43 square kilometres (11.36 sq mi).

Ōkunitama Shrine (大國魂神社, Ōkunitama Jinja) is a shrine located in Fuchū, Tokyo, Japan. Six shrines in Musashi province were consolidated and their gods enshrined there. Ōkunitama is now known as one of the five major shrines in Tokyo, the others being the Tokyo Great Shrine, Yasukuni Shrine, Hie Shrine and Meiji Shrine.It is the Sōja of Musashi Province It is dedicated to Musahi no Okunitama identified as Ōkuninushi

The Horse Racing Hall of Fame (Japanese: 競馬の殿堂) is a Japanese horse racing memorial hall which was installed on September 2, 1985 at the JRA Horse Racing Museum, Fuchu, Tokyo. It was founded by Japan Racing Association to honor the achievements of race horses, jockeys and trainers. Race horses inducted into the Hall of Fame are called Kensho-ba (顕彰馬) while jockeys and trainer are called Kensho-sha (顕彰者) by the Japan Racing Association.

Fuchū-no-Mori Park (府中の森公園, Fuchū no Mori Kōen) is a public park in the Sengen-cho region of the city of Fuchū in Tokyo. It is located a little east of the center of the city, close to Higashi-fuchū Station.

Tokyo Racecourse (東京競馬場, Tōkyō Keiba-jō) is located in Fuchu, Tokyo, Japan. Built in 1933 for horse racing, it is considered the "racecourse of racecourses" in Japanese horseracing. It has a capacity of 223,000, with seating for 13,750.Tokyo Racecourse hosts numerous G1 (Grade 1) races, including the Japan Cup, Tokyo Yushun (the Japanese Derby) and the Yasuda Kinen, a part of the Asian Mile Challenge.

The Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (東京農工大学, Tōkyō Nōkō Daigaku) commonly known as TUAT is a Japanese national university headquartered in Fuchū, Tokyo. This university focuses on the study of agriculture and engineering. The undergraduate organization of the university has two faculties, Agriculture and Engineering, and several departments as shown below.

The Battle of Bubaigawara (分倍河原の戦い, Bubaigawara no tatakai) was part of the decisive Kōzuke-Musashi Campaign during the Genkō War in Japan that ultimately ended the Kamakura Shogunate. It was fought on the banks of the Tama River in central Musashi province in what is now part of the city of Fuchū, Tokyo on May 15 and 16, 1333, it pitted the anti-shogunate imperial forces led by Nitta Yoshisada against the forces of the Hōjō-led Kamakura shogunate. It was the final major battle in Kōzuke-Musashi Campaign and was preceded by the Battle of Kumegawa.

Fuchū Prison (府中刑務所, Fuchū keimusho) is a prison in Japan. It is located in the city of the Fuchū, Tokyo to the west of the center of Tokyo Metropolis. Before the end of World War II, Fuchū prison held Communist leaders, members of banned religious sects, and leaders of the Korean independence movement.
