Memorial Park, located in Loma Mar, San Mateo County, California, United States, is operated by the San Mateo County Department of Parks. The park encompasses 673 acres (2.72 km2), and includes old-growth redwood trees, eight miles (13 km) of hiking trails, camping areas, picnic facilities, a visitor center, a camp store, a creek swimming area, and campfire programs. Pescadero Creek, which provides winter habitat for steelhead trout, runs through the park. Bloomquist, Hoffman, McCormick, and Peterson Creeks join Pescadero Creek within the park boundaries. Memorial Park trails link to Pescadero Creek Park from the Hoffman Flat Trailhead along the Old Haul Road trail, which also links into Sam McDonald County Park, Portola Redwoods State Park, and Big Basin Redwoods State Park (via easement across private lands).

YMCA Camp Loma Mar is a coed resident summer camp serving youth from ages 7–17. It is located in Loma Mar, an unincorporated area in San Mateo County, California. It has been in operation since 1914, and has been owned by the YMCA since 1937. It is affiliated with the YMCA of the East Bay, headquartered in Oakland, California. It is open year-round, and when summer camp is not in session, Camp Loma Mar is in use as a facility for conferences and retreats, as well as a nonprofit outdoor education program. Camp Loma Mar is surrounded by redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains, 10 miles east from the Pacific Ocean and 15 miles south of Half Moon Bay. The facilities on Camp Loma Mar's 100 acres include a swimming pool, an arts and crafts pavilion, a climbing wall, a zip line, an archery range, hiking trails, basketball and volleyball courts, Loma Mar's iconic gaga pit, and the requisite stage and campfire pit. Camp Loma Mar used to also have a low ropes course where remnants of it can still be seen near the creek close to their archery range Camp Loma Mar was also where the renowned Ragger Program was conceived and piloted in 1914.

Camp Jones Gulch is a YMCA summer camp in La Honda, California, in the Santa Cruz Mountains of the San Francisco Bay Area. It was founded in 1934 and encompasses 927 acres (375 ha) of redwood forests and meadows. During the summer, the YMCA of San Francisco operates overnight youth and family camps, and during the school year, the camp hosts retreats, in addition to weekly environmental education field trips operating as San Mateo Outdoor Education. From 1956 to 2020, it was also the home of San Joaquin County Outdoor Education.
