Llanishen

Llanishen Methodist Church, also known as Century Chapel, is a listed place of worship in Llanishen, a suburb of Cardiff in Wales.

Llanishen railway station (Welsh: Llanisien) is a railway station serving the area of Llanishen in Cardiff, south Wales. It is a stop on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network.

It is located on the Coryton Line 3.7 miles (6.0 km) north of Cardiff Central. Ty Glas is 17 chains (340 m) from the next station along at Birchgrove. The Coryton branch Line is a single-track, though unlike other stations on the branch, Ty Glas has entrances at both the north and south of the station; access from the south requires passengers to cross the track to reach the platform sited on the north side of the track. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales as part of the Valley Lines network.

Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales as part of the Valley Lines network. It was opened by the Rhymney Railway in 1915. The Low Level station is located on the Coryton Line.

Heath Low Level railway station is one of two railway stations serving Heath, Cardiff, Wales. The station is located on the Coryton Line 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of Cardiff Central. Heath Low Level was opened by the Cardiff Railway in 1911. When it was opened, it was called Heath Halt station. The station has one platform with a wheelchair accessible entrance from a minor residential road. On the platform is a brick built waiting shelter and open aired benches. The station is unmanned. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales as part of the Valley Lines network.

Birchgrove railway station is a railway station serving Birchgrove, Cardiff, Wales. It is located on the Coryton Line 3.75 miles (6.04 km) north of Cardiff Central, with the station situated beneath the A469. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales as part of the Valley Lines network. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1929.

Lisvane and Thornhill railway station (Welsh: Llys-faen a Draenen Pen-y-Graig) is a railway station serving the Lisvane and Thornhill areas of north Cardiff, Wales. It is a stop on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network. This station replaced Cefn Onn Halt railway station, which was closed in 1986.

Llanishen Reservoir (Welsh: Cronfa Ddŵr Llanisien) is a Victorian reservoir in north Cardiff, Wales. The reservoir is one of the reservoirs constructed as part of the Taff Fawr scheme for supplying water to Cardiff and was completed in 1886. It forms part of the Nant Fawr Corridor from the top of Roath Park to the countryside beyond Cyncoed. The reservoir was used for water supply until the mid-1970s when it became redundant. It was then used for leisure activities and for 'topping up' the adjacent Lisvane Reservoir until it was drained completely. After buying Hyder plc, its new owner Western Power Distribution (WPD), proposed to redevelop the reservoir site, but after a series of objections from national governing bodies, the County Council, local residents and both local and national politicians this was blocked. On 30 August 2013 WPD sold both Llanishen and Lisvane reservoirs to CELSA Group.In January 2016, Welsh Water acquired both Llanishen and Lisvane reservoirs from CELSA Group on a 999-year lease, which allows Welsh Water to use both reservoirs for water supply and recreational purposes while also allowing CELSA UK to continue to take its water supply from the Lisvane reservoir.

Birchgrove (Welsh: Llwynfedw) is a district of the city of Cardiff stretching between Llanishen and the Gabalfa interchange, along the A469 Caerphilly road. It centres on a crossroads dominated by the Birchgrove pub which also lies between Heath and Whitchurch. Heath Park and University Hospital of Wales adjoin. It differentiates from the ward of Heath in which it lies, by being a busy, hustle and bustle type of area, with rows of small shops and eateries and for the most part being dominated by Terraced housing. The area is served by Birchgrove railway station on the Coryton Line, and by the Capital City Green bus service.

Cardiff High School (Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Caerdydd) is a comprehensive school in the Cyncoed area of Cardiff, Wales. Stephen Jones has been Headteacher since 2011. It has been rated as Excellent for current performance and Excellent for prospects for improvement by Estyn (2013) the school achieved its highest ever results in 2016 with 92% of students achieving Level 2+ (5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics) and a 100% achieving at least 5 GCSEs.

Cardiff North (Welsh: Gogledd Caerdydd) is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Anna McMorrin of the Labour Party.The seat has been relative to others a marginal seat since 2001 as well as a swing seat as its winner's majority has not exceeded 8% of the vote since the 14.3% majority won in that year. The seat has changed political allegiance twice since that year.
