St. Joseph Secondary School, colloquially known as St. Joe's is a Catholic high school located in the Streetsville community of Mississauga, Ontario. The school is administered by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. St. Joseph Secondary School is one of few schools in the province of Ontario to offer Pre-Advanced Placement courses starting in grade 9 while most schools offer the option of Advanced Placement (AP) level classes in grade 12. Students who graduate in any course with an AP level exam completed will earn university level credits in said course. The school is also a provider of the Business and Transportation Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM), granting students who complete the major with a Ontario Secondary School Diploma including a recognized seal for employment opportunities after graduation.Like other members of the district, students who attend St. Joseph C.S.S. receive teaching on religion, family life and prayer in addition to the standard curriculum found in public schools. The school is linked with the St. Joseph's Parish in Streetsville, which is a part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto. Its scriptural motto is "Be Not Afraid... Come Follow Me". Some extra-curricular programs include: Model United Nation (MUN), Future Business Leaders Association (FBLA), The Mirror (school newspaper), Culture Shock, Green Team, L.I.F.E. Ministry, SafeSpace, Yearbook Committee, Annual Christmas talent Show, Artsapalooza, Artsfest, School Musical, Peer Tutoring, Jazz and Marching Band and the Nicaragua Project. Also, the school LINK Crew Ambassadors are a successful widespread organization, and assist with tours and parent evenings. The school is built almost exactly like Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School also in Mississauga. The school was attended by Trooper Marc Diab, who was killed by a roadside bomb while serving his country in the War in Afghanistan. The park behind the school was renamed Trooper Marc Diab Memorial Park, in his honour.In June 2013, St. Joe's was awarded the 2012–13 Premier's Award for Accepting Schools on behalf of Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. The Premier's Awards for Accepting Schools are awarded annually and recognize schools that have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in promoting a safe, inclusive and accepting school climate. Britannia landfill, now BraeBen Golf Course, and previously Britannia Hills Golf Course, was a garbage dump located in the city of Mississauga and later transformed into a golf course. The site is located on Terry Fox Way south of Britannia Road West. Opened in 1980 by Peel Region, the 200-acre (0.81 km2) site took garbage from Peel and Metro Toronto. It closed in 2002 and was used to create a 27-hole golf course. The City of Mississauga has a 99-year lease on the facility. Gases from the dump are to be used to generate electricity. Mississauga—Streetsville is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. This riding is centred on the villages of Streetsville and Meadowvale. Mississauga—Streetsville is one of the most affluent ridings in Ontario, along with Mississauga—Erin Mills and Mississauga—Lakeshore.

It consisted of the central part of the City of Mississauga, Ontario. Erindale GO Station is a GO Transit railway station on the Milton line in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 1320 Rathburn Road West, just east of the Credit River in the Creditview neighbourhood of Mississauga, west of the Square One area. Like many other GO stations, Erindale offers parking facilities, and has a station building which houses ticket sales and includes a waiting room. Erindale acted as a terminus for the midday trains that GO Transit once operated on the Milton Line during the early to mid-1990s, but these trains no longer run.Although ridership on the Milton line has grown beyond GO's expectations, it is not possible to run more trains, because the tracks are already busy with Canadian Pacific Railway freight traffic. In order to increase capacity, GO has extended the platforms to accommodate trains with twelve carriages rather than the previous ten. Erindale was most recently upgraded and is now fully wheel chair accessible. A construction project underwent a new multi-level covered parking structure with 1700 new spaces, new bus loop, dedicated pedestrian pathways, and covered pedestrian bridge to the station tracks. The project was completed in the spring of 2014.

CKNT (960 AM) is a commercial radio station branded as Sauga 960 AM. It is owned by 8159203 Canada, Limited, headed by Elliott Kerr. CKNT has a News/Talk radio format and is licensed to Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, serving Greater Toronto. The radio studios and offices are on Westmore Drive in Etobicoke. By day, CKNT is powered at 1,250 watts. But to avoid interference to other stations on 960 AM, it reduces power to 175 watts at night. It uses a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is on Courtneypark Drive East, near Kennedy Road South in Mississauga.

A new lot with 135 additional spaces was constructed in 2015.Although ridership on the Milton line has grown beyond GO's expectations, it is not possible to run more trains because the tracks are already busy with Canadian Pacific Railway freight traffic. In order to increase capacity, GO plans to extend the platforms to accommodate trains with twelve carriages rather than the current ten. As a temporary solution, extensive train-bus services help alleviate congestion.Streetsville is one of several stations on the Milton Line, along with Dixie and Milton to offer facilities for mobility challenged passengers.

St. Francis Xavier Secondary School is a Catholic high school in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, overseen by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. As of October 29, 2021, it has 1,840 students,about 130 teaching and support staff, and a childcare centre. The school mascot is the Tiger. The school has an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program and Specialist High Skills Major programs for Health & wellness, Hospitality & Tourism, and Transportation.The school is located in St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Archdiocese of Toronto. The school catchment includes graduates of St. Hilary, St. Matthew, St. Jude, San Lorenzo Ruiz Elementary schools, St. Valentine students living east of Mavis Rd. and is the most common high school for graduates of Fairwind Senior Public School and Bristol Road Middle School, even though they are in the Peel District School Board.
