WLNL (1000 AM) is a radio station in Horseheads, New York, United States, serving the Elmira-Corning area. The station is owned by Trinity Media, Ltd. 1000 AM is a United States and Mexican clear-channel frequency; WLNL must leave the air from sunset to sunrise to prevent interference with the nighttime skywave signal of WMVP in Chicago. This frequency was put to use from Horseheads in 1967 as WIQT, a full-service adult contemporary station owned by Manuel Panosian. Panosian successfully applied for a new license for a station at 820 kHz, and in January 1988, WIQT moved there; simultaneously, the 1000 kHz facility was sold and would air Christian programming for the next 33 years. In 2021, the station went silent for seven months and returned with its present conservative talk format under the moniker "The Bell".

WPGO (820 kHz) is a non-commercial AM radio station licensed to Horseheads, New York, serving the Elmira-Corning radio market. It is owned by Montrose Broadcasting, Corporation and airs a Christian radio format, mixing Christian talk and teaching programs with Christian music. Much of the programming is simulcast from sister station WPEL-FM 96.5 FM in Montrose, Pennsylvania. The stations hold periodic fundraisers on the air to support the ministry. The studios are on High Street in Montrose. By day, WPGO is powered at 4,100 watts non-directional. But 820 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A station WBAP Fort Worth. Mount Saviour Monastery is a historic farm and monastery campus within a national historic district located near Pine City, Chemung County, New York. It encompasses 10 contributing buildings and 3 contributing sites on a working farm in continuous operation since 1865. The monastery was founded in 1950 and the property is owned by the Benedictine Foundation of New York State. Located on the property are the contributing Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel (1953) and East and West Buildings (1964), St. Joseph's House (1954-1957), St. Peter's House (Former Nagel/Hofbauer House, 1874), St. Gertrude's House (Former Durmstadt House, 1865), Mount Saviour Monastic Cemetery (1960), Good Shepherd Lay Cemetery (1955), St. Peter's Barn (Former Nagel/Hofbauer Barn, c.1890/1942), Main barn (1959), Arts & Crafts Building & Storage (Former Shop Building and Kiln, 1962/1973), Wagner House (Former Neilitz House, 1879), St. James's House (Former Harding House, 1870), and Annex (Former milk house and now monastery guest house, 1870/1961).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.The Monastery of Christ in the Desert in Abiquiú, New Mexico developed from Mount Saviour in 1964.

The Guthrie Corning Hospital is a rural hospital and Level III trauma center in Corning, New York. It opened June 4, 1900 at the Stearns House at East First and Chemung Streets. This was after a January 25 meeting at which the woman of the city considered organizing a hospital association. It initially opened with 9 beds, but today has 65 private patient rooms at the new facility opened in July, 2014, ten years after being acquired by Guthrie. In the transition, the hospital built the Guthrie Corning Cancer Center, a physical rehabilitation building, Guthrie HealthWorks Wellness & Fitness Center, and a same day surgicenter in Big Flats, New York. It received a provisional trauma center designation August 28, 2023.

West Elmira is a suburban census-designated place (CDP) in Chemung County, New York, United States. The population was 4,967 at the 2010 census. It is adjacent to the city of Elmira on its west side. West Elmira is in the southwest part of the town of Elmira. It is part of the Elmira Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Mark Twain Golf Course is a public 18 hole golf course in the Town of Horseheads that is owned and operated by the City of Elmira, New York. It was designed by the famous golf course architect Donald Ross. It was built in 1937 as a public works project during the Great Depression by the Works Progress Administration. The course was named after Mark Twain, who lived nearby.
