Hässelby gård

Hässelby gård metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Hässelby gård, which is part of the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is elevated and has a single island platform, with access from a lower level station building on Hässelby torg. The distance to Slussen is 17.7 km (11.0 mi).A temporary station at Hässelby gård was inaugurated on 1 November 1956 as the western end of an extension from Vällingby. This was replaced by the current station on 15 October 1958, and on the 18th of the following month the line was extended further west to Hässelby strand. The station was renovated in 2011.

Grimsta IP is a multi-use stadium in Vällingby, Sweden. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of IF Brommapojkarna. The stadium holds 5,000 people after the latest expansion. The latest expansion took place between 2015 and 2017 with the construction of the new stand that cost 57 million kronor, it includes also the construction of new locker rooms, a new press stand and a new bar. The new stand, with more than 2,000 seats, fulfills the requirement of the Swedish football association for having the license for playing in Superettan and Allsvenskan. The inauguration of the New Grimsta IP was celebrated on 8 April 2017 with the Superettan football game between IF Brommapojkarna and Örgryte (3-0) in front of 1,722 spectators.

Hässelby Palace (Hässelby slott) is a former manor located in Hässelby gård in the west part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. Since 2010 it has frequently been available for weddings, parties and conferences.

Hässelby strand is a district within the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm, Sweden. It lies on the shores of Lake Mälaren. The district is served by Hässelby strand station, the north-western terminus of the Green line of the Stockholm metro.

Hässelby Strand metro station is the western terminus of the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Hässelby strand, which is part of the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is at ground level and has a single island platform, with two terminal platform tracks and a siding. Access is from Fyrspannsgatan through a building across the end of the platform that also includes shops and apartments. The distance to Slussen is 18.6 km (11.6 mi).The station was inaugurated on 18 November 1958 as the western end of an extension from Hässelby gård. As part of a redevelopment of the centre of Hässelby strand, the original single-storey station building was closed and demolished in 2013, being initially replaced by a temporary building on a different site. This in turn was replaced in 2015 by the new multi-storey building, with shops and apartments, on the site of the original building.As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, the access route from the station building to the platforms was decorated in 2000 with a tile mosaic by artist Christian Partos entitled Teleportings. These survived the 2015 rebuilding.

Johannelund metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Vinsta, which is part of the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm. The distance to Slussen is 17 km (11 mi).The station was inaugurated on 1 November 1956 as part of an extension from Vällingby to Hässelby gård. Up until October 1997 the station was only in use in the daytime, and was closed weekends. It is the only Stockholm metro station with side platforms instead of the island platform present at most other stations.Only 1,250 passengers travel from Johannelund station daily, making it the least used in the Stockholm metro.

Kälvesta is a suburban district in the Hässelby-Vällingby borough in western Stockholm. Most of Kälvesta was built during the late 1960s and the 1970s. Kälvesta has two middle schools (Sörgårdsskolan and Björnbodaskolan). The two buses 119 and 116 pass through Kälvesta on their way to either Spånga Station or Vällingby Centrum. In 1977 Linjeflyg Flight 618 crashed in the area killing all 22 aboard, including table tennis player Hans Alsér.

Kanaanbadet (Kanaan beach), is a public beach by the lake Mälaren (a lake located outside Stockholm, Sweden). The beach is not far west of Blackeberg in the Hässelby-Vällingby area and is a part of the Grimsta nature reserve. The biblical name Kanaan was used for the first time in around 1730 and comes from an old croft that was built on the beach. By the end of the 18th century, a bigger house was built and it was later transformed into a tavern. The old tavern was torn down in 1881 and "the king of Swedish snuff" Knut Ljunglöf built a house & since 1952 it has been known as the Kanaan Cafe. Nowadays the beach is a popular place to go for people living west of Stockholm and it is often crowded on hot summer days. There is one cafeteria, a mini golf court and a small diving tower. Sweden's first youth center was opened here in 1933 and during World War II it was a standby station for officers. Kanaan swimming society was named after the beach when the club was founded in 1958. The club nowadays have their activities in different indoor pools around the west side. Stockholm's canoeing club Kanaanbadet has their club/boat house next to the beach. During the winter many upper secondary schools have their winter sports by and on the lake. Kannan's allotment gardens are located about 1km from the beach and consist of a field and 31 cottages surrounding it. This area was originally a camping area in the 1950s, but later became a permanent allotment with little space for gardening.

Hässelby Villastad is a city district of Stockholm, in the north-western part of the Swedish capital Stockholm. It forms part of Västerort, Stockholm Municipality. Stretching west to Lake Mälaren, it is largely a high-class area with notable landmarks being the central commercial area Åkermyntan, and the big landfill Lövsta, which was used for all of Stockholm's refuse from the late 19th century to about 1950.

Grimsta Nature Reserve (or Grimstaskogen), is a nature reserve in Västerort, in the municipality of Stockholm, Sweden. Grimsta Nature Reserve is surrounded by Södra Ängby, Blackeberg, Grimsta, Hässelby and Lake Mälaren. It is located in the parish of Spånga in Uppland (Stockholm County).

Linjeflyg Flight 618 was a crash of a Vickers 838 Viscount during approach to Stockholm Bromma Airport at 09:05 on 15 January 1977. All twenty-two people on board the aircraft perished when it hit ground at Kälvesta in Stockholm, Sweden. The domestic service from Malmö via Kristianstad, Växjö and Jönköping was operated by Skyline on behalf of Linjeflyg as part of the latter's domestic scheduled services. The accident was caused by atmospheric icing on the horizontal stabilizer. Low power on two of the engines had caused reduced function of the ice protection system, causing a buildup of ice. The icing caused the loss of pitch control and the aircraft entered a steep dive. Among the deceased was table tennis player Hans Alsér.

Vällingby is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Vällingby, which is part of the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is nominally above ground and has a two island platforms and three through tracks, with access from a station building spanning the tracks. This station building forms part of the cultural and retail centre of Vällingby, much of which has subsequently been built over the tracks and platforms of the metro, giving it an underground feel.The station was opened on 26 October 1952 as the west terminus of the stretch from Hötorget as provisional station and opened as a permanent station on 6 April 1954. On 1 November 1956 the line was extended further west to Hässelby gård.As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, the station features concrete trees on the platforms, created by Casimir Djuric in 1983.The Vällingby metro depot (Vällingby t-banedepå) is located to the east of the station and accessed from the station by a grade-separated junction.
