Horfield Common

Golden Hill is an inner suburb of Bristol, England, lying east of Horfield Common and north-east of Bishopston. Redland and Henleaze are nearby. The housing is mainly in private ownership and was built in the 1920s and 1930s. Bristol Rovers practise on the football pitch, though it is closed for maintenance as of 2016. The fields are owned by Redland High School for Girls. A large Tesco store was built in 1993 on an adjacent green-field site, which had been for many years one of the playing fields of Bristol Grammar School. The construction was unpopular with the local community and drew protests. Plans for expansion are currently being reviewed. A second playing field is located in Golden Hill on Wimbledon Road. This is used by Golden Hill Sports Ltd (registered charity 1118954), which runs the YMCA Cricket Club and Golden Hill Sports Football Club. In addition, the charity also organises children's activity days during the school holidays as well as a number of social events throughout the year.

The Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity with St Edmund is a church on Wellington Hill, Horfield in Bristol, England. It has been designated as a grade II* listed building. The west tower dates from the 15th century. It contains five bells, four of which were cast by the Bilbie family of Chew Stoke in 1773. The nave and aisles by William Butterfield date from 1847, and the chancel and crossing tower are dated 1893. The transepts were added in 1913 and 1929. The organ, which was built by Palmers of Bristol, was installed in 1885.The church has associated with the Oxford Movement since the early 19th century. The parish and benefice fall within the Diocese of Bristol.In 1877 the graveyard became the resting place of Newport Chartist John Frost. Although Frost's grave site was lost for many years, in the 1980s a new headstone was created and re-erected on the site, with the aid of a grant from Newport City Council. The new headstone was unveiled by Neil Kinnock.There are also war graves of 17 British and two Canadian service personnel of World War I, and a Royal Navy sailor of World War II.

Henleaze is a northern suburb of the city of Bristol in South West England. It is an almost entirely residential inter-war development, with Edwardian streets on its southern fringes. Its main neighbours are Westbury on Trym, Horfield, Bishopston and Redland. Until 2016 Henleaze was the name of a ward for Bristol City Council, which included Golden Hill and Westbury Park as well as Henleaze. Henleaze is now part of the Westbury-on-Trym and Henleaze ward.

The Memorial Stadium, also commonly known by its previous name of the Memorial Ground, is a sports ground in Bristol, England, and is the home of Bristol Rovers F.C. It opened in 1921 dedicated to the memory of local rugby union players killed during the First World War, and was the home of Bristol Bears rugby club until they moved to Ashton Gate in 2014.

The street is a focal point for local businesses, and is promoted by Bristol City Council as a centre of independent trade. The Bristol North Baths on Gloucester Road North were popular for most of the 20th century, and the location was used in filming for several television shows. Numerous shops and bars have achieved popularity in the local press for their unique contribution to Bristol. Graffiti and stencil art is popular and encouraged by some business in the area.

Southmead Hospital is a large public National Health Service hospital, situated in the area of Southmead, though in Horfield ward, in the northern suburbs of Bristol, England. It is part of the North Bristol NHS Trust. The 800-bed Brunel Building opened in May 2014, to provide services (including Accident and Emergency), which transferred from Frenchay Hospital in advance of its closure. The hospital site covers 60 acres (24 ha).

The Bristol County Ground (also known as Nevil Road and currently known as the Seat Unique Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is a senior cricket venue in Bristol, England. It is in the district of Ashley Down. The ground is home to Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
