J.N. Burnett Secondary School is a secondary school located at 5011 Granville Ave., Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The current principal is Michael Jaswal, and there are currently over 1000 students enrolled. The school is named after John Napier Burnett, a pioneer. Burnett's badminton program, having placed 2nd at the 2001-02 British Columbia badminton provincials, Champions in 2002–03, 2nd in 2007–08, and 2nd in 2009–10.Burnett's tennis program placed in the Top 2 of Richmond High Schools consistently since 2000. Between 2003 and 2006, Burnett was 1st in RSSAA and consistently placed in the Top 6 and the BCSSA. As of May 2018, Burnett holds the top ranking in the Richmond school district. Minoru Park is a park located on the site of a former horse-racing track and airstrip in Richmond, British Columbia. The park's running track is often used by School District 38 Richmond for school competitions, such as track and field. The area is home to the Minoru Arenas, Minoru Track, Minoru Aquatic Centre and Richmond Cultural Centre (which in turn houses the Richmond Public Library's main branch, City of Richmond Archives, Richmond Art Gallery and Richmond Museum). All these facilities account for the bulk of community services offered by the city. Minoru was one of the first major aviation hubs in Western Canada.

Richmond Secondary School, (commonly, Richmond High School, RHS, and RSS) is a public, co-educational secondary school located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, that educates approximately 1200 students from grades 8 to 12. Richmond Secondary is the only school in Richmond that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and is a magnet school in the region.

Minoru Chapel is a small white wooden chapel that is now located in Richmond, British Columbia's Minoru Park. The chapel was built in 1891 on the corner of River Road and Cambie Road from plan 109 supplied by the Methodist Board of Church Extension and was run by the Methodist Church, and later by the United Church. It was constructed by the Fraser River so it could easily be reached by boat (at the time Richmond had few roads). Minoru Chapel was renovated and moved to the park in 1967. The chapel's convenient location and historical charm make it a popular place to get married, with up to eight weddings taking place a day throughout the summer months.

Richmond North Centre is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada that was created in the 2015 redistribution from parts of Richmond Centre and Richmond East. It was first contested in the 2017 election.

Richmond Public Library (RPL) is a public library that serves Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The library has four branches in the city: Brighouse (Main), Steveston, Ironwood, and Cambie. RPL also offers weekly outreach service to the Hamilton neighbourhood. The library has won numerous awards, including the John Cotton Dana Public Relations Award in 2008 for its "Ralphy" library card for kids. In September 2018, Richmond Public Library placed a book dispensing machine in the Hamilton Community Centre, allowing nearby residents to access the library's collection.

The Richmond Art Gallery (abbreviated as RAG) is a non-profit contemporary art museum located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1980, the gallery is situated within the Richmond Cultural Centre at Minoru Park and serves as a primary hub for visual arts in the city of Richmond.

The Richmond Olympic Oval (French: Anneau olympique de Richmond) is an indoor multi-sports arena in the Canadian city of Richmond, British Columbia. The oval was built for the 2010 Winter Olympics and was originally configured with a speed skating rink. The venue has since been reconfigured and now serves as a community multi-sport park and includes two ice hockey rinks, two running tracks, a climbing wall, a rowing tank and a flexible area which can be used for, among other sports, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and table tennis. The Olympic bid called for the oval to be located on the grounds of Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby, but Richmond was instead selected in 2004. Although twice the price of the SFU alternative, the location was selected because the city offered to cover all costs exceeding $60 million. Construction started in 2006, cost $178 million CAD and the venue opened on 12 December 2008. In addition to speed skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics, the venue has hosted the 2009 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships. Designed by CannonDesign, the oval's elements are made to resemble the heron.

Water Sky Garden is a sculptural environment designed by artist Janet Echelman. The garden is located outside the Richmond Olympic Oval, an official venue for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. The installation consists of a wetland treatment pond, 300 ft. boardwalk, two 52 ft. pedestrian bridges, two net sculptures, and a fountain.

Hugh Boyd Secondary School (H.B.S.S. or HBSS), commonly known as Hugh Boyd or Boyd is a public, co-educational secondary school part of School District 38 Richmond (SD38), serving and educating 599 (2022-2023) students from grades 8 to 12. Hugh Boyd Secondary is the only school in Richmond that offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The school is located on the western side of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, at 9200 No. 1 Road, stretching as far north to Francis Road and as far south to Pendleton Road. Hugh Boyd consists of the main school building, along with 3 parking lots (2 located at the front and back of the school along with 1 located far north on Francis Road), 2 soccer fields (Boyd Oval and Boyd South) and an artificial turf field with 4 sections (white, yellow, red, blue). Boyd also has 2 small extra buildings to the northwest with them being its Scout Hall and the Boyd Oval Field House. To the east, the school is conjoined with the West Richmond Community Centre with the West Richmond Pitch & Putt Golf Course being located just further east. Hugh Boyd Secondary was named after Hugh Boyd, the first reeve of the Township of Richmond (now the City of Richmond). Hugh Boyd Secondary opened in 1960 originally as a junior secondary school serving only Grades 8-10 before it expanded in 1996 switching into a junior-senior secondary school serving students Grades 8–12. As of September 2020, the school had completed its needed near-CAD$11m seismic upgrades; replacing the school's previous tech wing with an addition of a new tech wing, library and other minor upgrades towards the building. Its student population ranges each year, from approximately 500 to 800 students, most of whom come from the surrounding Seafair neighbourhood. Hugh Boyd's school catchment area, as of 2022, consists of the 7 elementary schools of Alfred B. Dixon, James Gilmore, John G. Diefenbaker, Lord Byng, Manoah Steves, Quilchena, and R.M. Grauer. Hugh Boyd's school colours are black and gold, and the school's sports team name are the Hugh Boyd Trojans (commonly known as Trojans) along with the school's mascot being Tommy Trojan. Hugh Boyd offers sports programs such as Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Ultimate (Co-ed), Track & Field, Golf, and Cross-country Running.
