La Stella Restaurant was an Italian restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens. La Stella was opened by Joe and Jack Taliercio in 1970. It closed in 1992. Tony Talierico later opened a location in Sunrise, Florida. On the morning of June 2, 1970, a pipe bomb exploded outside the restaurant knocking in the front door, smashing in the front window and starting a small fire.

The Queens Jewish Center, also known as Queens Jewish Center and Talmud Torah or QJC, is an Orthodox synagogue in Forest Hills, Queens, New York known for its significant contributions to the Jewish community. The synagogue was established by a dozen families in 1943 to serve the growing central Queens Jewish community. The current spiritual leader is Rabbi Judah Kerbel.

Forest Hills High School (FHHS) is a high school in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City. Dedicated in 1937, it educates students in grades 9–12 and is operated by the New York City Department of Education. The school serves students from Forest Hills and Rego Park, as well as other nearby Queens neighborhoods such as Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Flushing, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Kew Gardens, Maspeth, Middle Village, and Woodside. FHHS has often been extremely overcrowded throughout its history, often running several overlapping sessions. Traditionally, a large percentage of FHHS graduates have gone on to attend colleges.The school is a recipient of the silver medal from U.S. News & World Report's list of the best high schools in the nation.

US Post Office-Forest Hills Station is a historic post office building located at Forest Hills in Queens County, New York, United States. It was built in 1937, and was designed by architect Lorimer Rich as a consultant to the Office of the Supervising Architect. It is a one-story flat roofed building clad with reddish brown terra cotta above a base of granite in the International style. It features exterior terra cotta relief sculptures by artist Sten Jacobsson.The post office is located on the eastbound frontage road of Queens Boulevard (the former Hoffman Boulevard) on the southwest corner of 70th Avenue across from MacDonald Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Long Island Jewish Forest Hills is a teaching hospital operating under the Northwell Health hospital network. It is located in Forest Hills, Queens, New York. The hospital is affiliated with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, which sponsors a residency program in internal medicine. The hospital also serves as the host of a podiatry residency program.

Bramson ORT College was a nonprofit private two-year college in New York City. Its main campus was located in Forest Hills, Queens, with a satellite campus in Brooklyn. It was affiliated with ORT America, a volunteer organization that is the umbrella organization of ORT in the United States, and World ORT, the parent nonprofit global Jewish organization that promotes education and training in over 100 countries. Founded in 1979, the institution closed in January 2017.

The Forest Hills–71st Avenue station (previously known as 71st–Continental Avenues station) is an express station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway, located on Queens Boulevard at 71st (Continental) Avenue in Forest Hills, Queens. It is served by the E and F trains at all times, the train during rush hours in the reverse peak direction, the R train at all times except late nights, and the M train on weekdays except late nights. It serves as the terminus for the latter two services.

The 67th Avenue station is a local station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 67th Avenue and Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, Queens, it is served by the M train on weekdays, the R train at all times except nights, and the E train at night.

The West Side Tennis Club is a private tennis club located in Forest Hills, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. The club has 38 tennis courts in all four surfaces (clay court, Har-Tru, grass court and hardcourt), a junior Olympic-size swimming pool and other amenities. It is the home of the Forest Hills Stadium, a 14,000 seat outdoor tennis stadium and concert venue.The club hosted 60 editions of the U.S. National Championships (renamed the US Open Tennis Championships in 1968), first from 1915 to 1920, and then again from 1924 to 1977. In addition, the finals of the Davis Cup were held at the club 10 times, more than any other venue. The US Pro tournament was held at the venue 11 times, and another prominent professional tournament, the Tournament of Champions, was held at the venue 3 times. The West Side Tennis Club was the venue of the Forest Hills Tennis Classic, a now-defunct WTA Tour Tier IV event, and a men's challenger event. The Open saw some of its biggest moments and changes while at West Side, including the introduction of seedings in 1927, tiebreakers in 1970, equal prize money for men and women in 1973, and night play in 1975. Currently, the stadium is used as an outdoor concert venue.

Forest Hills is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Main Line in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York City. It is lightly used compared to other stations in the city, with only 1,967 weekday riders; many residents opt for the subway because of its increased service and direct express trains to Midtown Manhattan. The station is wheelchair accessible.

Underbridge Dog Run is a dog run named after the pedestrian bridge connecting it to the adjacent Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, the fourth-largest city-operated park in New York City and site of the 1939-40 and 1964-65 World’s Fairs. The park is located on Grand Central Parkway between 64th Avenue and 64th Road. The section of the park located opposite the Underbridge Dog Run contains Meadow Lake, the largest lake within New York City.The city purchased this property, located at the base of a pedestrian footbridge that passes over Grand Central Parkway in 1938 as part of Flushing Meadows Park. It was designated as a separate park in 1980. Through its history, the park was known simply as “West Meadow Playground, although a playground was never built in this park. in recognition of its use as a public dog run, it was renamed Underbridge Dog Run.

The Congregation of Georgian Jews is an Orthodox synagogue at 6304 Yellowstone Boulevard, in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York. The members are late twentieth century immigrants from the Republic of Georgia.
