The Ministry of Defense (防衛省, Bōei-shō) is an executive department of the Government of Japan responsible for preserving the peace and independence of Japan, and maintaining the country’s national security and the Japan Self-Defense Forces.The ministry is headed by the Minister of Defense, and is the largest ministry in the Japanese government. The ministry is headquartered in Ichigaya, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and is required by Article 66 of the Constitution to be completely subordinate to civilian authority.

The JICA Research Institute (JICA-RI) (JICA研究所 Jaika Kenkyujo) is a research organization based in Tokyo, Japan. JICA-RI was established as a research wing of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on October 1, 2003. Tokyo Korean School (Japanese: 東京韓国学校 Tōkyō Kankoku Gakkō, Korean: 동경한국학교) is a Korean school located in Wakamatsu-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan; catering to the Korean expatriate community and to Japanese-Koreans living in and around Tokyo. It was founded in 1954. It is affiliated with the South Korean government and Mindan (민단). It includes an elementary school, a middle school and a high school. The total population of the school is approximately 1,100 students. The primary language of instruction at the school is Korean. However, there is an English language department and English library at the school. Educational essentialism is the main educational philosophy of teachers in both the Korean and English departments at the school.

Sainen-ji (西念寺) is a Buddhist temple belonging to the Jōdo-shū sect, located in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, Japan. It is known as the temple founded by Hattori Hanzō, a famous samurai of the Sengoku Period who served Tokugawa Ieyasu. The temple is the family temple of the Hattori clan, and contains the graves of Hanzō and other members of the Hattori clan. In addition, there is a memorial tower that is said to have been built by Hanzō for Tokugawa Ieyasu's eldest son, Nobuyasu, whom Hanzō served as guardian.

The St. Ignatius Church (Japanese: 聖イグナチオ教会) is a Catholic church located in Kōjimachi district of Tokyo, Japan. Also known as the Kōjimachi Catholic Church, it was established with its current name on April 17, 1949, and is dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The dedication ceremony was offered by Archbishop Peter Tatsuo Doi. The church is affiliated with the Jesuit Sophia University and it is located near Yotsuya Station.
