The Military Ordinariate of Belgium (Dutch: Bisdom bij de Krijgsmacht; French: Diocèse aux Forces armées belges) is a Latin Church military ordinariate of the Catholic Church. Immediately exempt to the Holy See, it provides pastoral care to Catholics serving in the Belgian Armed Forces and their families.

Renault Industrie Belgique S.A. / Renault Industrie België N.V., officially shortened with the acronym RIB, opened in 1931 as an auto-assembly plant owned and operated by Renault in Vilvoorde on the northern edge of Brussels in Belgium. It was the manufacturer's first plant to be located outside France. Automobile production at Vilvoorde came to an abrupt end in 1997, with the loss of approximately 3,500 jobs, and in the face of much public opposition from and on behalf of those affected.

The Vilvoorde viaduct is part of the R0 Brussels beltway. Built as the last piece to close the Brussels beltway in 1977, it allowed the beltway to be opened for traffic on December 29 the same year. It crosses several roads, the river Zenne, the Brussels–Scheldt Maritime Canal, a railroad and the (then) Renault factory. Today's daily traffic is about 140.000 vehicles, while the saturation point is about 180.000.

Haren (Dutch and French, sometimes written Haeren in French) is an old municipality of Brussels in Belgium, that was merged into the municipality of the City of Brussels in 1921. It is an outlying part of the municipality of the city and is situated at the north-eastern edge of the Brussels Capital Region. In contrast to most of Brussels, Haren has maintained nearly as many Dutch-speakers as French-speakers and has preserved a somewhat rural appearance.

Haren-South (French: Gare de Haren-Sud, Dutch: Station Haren-Zuid) is a railway station on line 36 of the Belgian railway network, situated in Haren, part of the City of Brussels in the Brussels Capital Region. Also in Haren, despite its name 200 metres to the southeast along Oude Middelweg, is Haren railway station, on line 26.

Haren Prison (French: Prison de Haren, Dutch: Gevangenis van Haren) is a new prison in Haren in the north-eastern part of Brussels, Belgium. It is 9.8 kilometres (6.1 mi) from Brussels-South railway station, and is near Brussels Airport, Vilvoorde Viaduct and the planned Uplace shopping centre in Machelen in Flemish Brabant, just outside Brussels. It is said to be the largest prison complex ever built in Belgium, and is intended to replace the old Saint-Gilles Prison, Forest Prison and Berkendael Prison. Three cell wings in Saint-Gilles will remain in use until the end of 2024. The women's prison in Berkendael is being converted into a detention centre for about 60 short-term prisoners (imprisonment less than three years).

Haren is a railway station on line 26 of the Belgian railway network, situated in Haren, part of the City of Brussels in the Brussels Capital Region. Close to the station, and also in Haren, is Haren-South railway station, on line 36.

Neder-Over-Heembeek is a northern part of the City of Brussels municipality, inside the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. It is a former municipality which lost its municipality status when it was merged with the City of Brussels. Now it is a section of that municipality, and a predominantly industrial zone, remarkable principally for the Military Hospital, which is the National Burns and Poisons center.

Haren Airport or Evere Airfield is a former military airfield and civil airport in Brussels, Belgium. Located in Brussels' city section of Haren and adjacent municipality of Evere, it was established by the German Empire in 1914 and lasted until the early 1950s when it was closed. Meanwhile it had been replaced by nearby Melsbroek airfield that Nazi Germans had established in World War II, which developed into the current Brussels Airport. The former grounds of Haren-Evere airfield were redeveloped as part of the expanding Brussels urban area; some buildings remain in use as facilities of the Belgian military. The headquarters of NATO are located at Haren (Brussels) on part of the former airport grounds.

Bordet railway station is a railway station in Brussels, Belgium. It is located on the line 26 between the stations of Haren and Evere. The station is located in the municipality of Evere, next to the border with the City of Brussels, at the crossroad between the Chaussée de Haecht/Haachtsesteenweg and the Avenue Jules Bordet/Jules Bordetlaan. The railway station is located under street level. At street level, there are the last stops of tram route 55 and bus route 59, which offer a connection with regional transport. Bus routes 45 and 69 also stop at the Bordet railway station. There multiple large employers in the Bordet station area. Together with its location near the center of Evere and near the crossing of the Avenue Bordet with important roads like the Avenue Leopold III and the Chaussée de Haecht, it makes the Bordet station area one of the most busy locations in the Evere municipality.

Machelen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɑxələ(n)]) is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in the Flemish region of Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Diegem and Machelen proper. On 1 January 2006, Machelen had a total population of 12,500. The total area is 11.59 km2 (4.47 sq mi), which gives a population density of 1,078/km2 (2,790/sq mi). The official language of Machelen is Dutch. A portion of Brussels Airport is located in Diegem, Machelen, together with neighbouring town of Zaventem.

Diegem is a town in the municipality of Machelen, Flemish Brabant, Belgium. Its gothic church, inaugurated in 1543, in the centre of town, has a conspicuous tiered spire. The town is served by Diegem railway station, which is situated on the Brussels – Leuven railway line between Haren Zuid and Zaventem stations. A portion of Brussels Airport is located in Diegem. Diegem's situation just outside the Brussels-Capital Region and close to the R0 (the Brussels orbital motorway) mean it has a large number of business premises.Its postal code is 1831.
