Capenhurst is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is two miles south west of Ellesmere Port, at the southern end of the Wirral Peninsula. According to the 2011 Census, Capenhurst had a population of 380.

The civil parish includes parts of the hamlets of Badger's Rake and Two Mills. It is located on the Wirral Peninsula, approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) to the north of the city of Chester and 6 km (3.7 mi) to the west of Ellesmere Port. At the 2011 Census, the village had a population of 181.

Capenhurst railway station serves the village of Capenhurst and its substantial industrial facilities, in Cheshire, England. It also serves outer suburbs of Ellesmere Port. On the former GWR main line from London Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside it is now on the Wirral Line of the Merseyrail network, 5+1⁄4 miles (8.4 km) north of Chester.

Sutton Hall is in the village of Little Sutton, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.The house dates mainly from the early 19th century but has a core dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. Its architectural style is late Georgian and early Regency. Its walls are rendered with rusticated quoins. The house is in two storeys with an attic. At the front is a Tuscan portico with two columns at the front and pilasters at the rear. Most of the windows are sashes. To the east is an added wing with a large full-height bow window, and there is a similar window at the west gable end.

Ellesmere Port and Neston was, from 1974 to 2009, a local government district with borough status in Cheshire, England. It covered the southern part of the Wirral Peninsula, namely that part which is not included in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. The district had a population of about 81,800 (2006 estimate). The main towns were Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the village of Parkgate. It also included a number of villages such as Great Sutton and Willaston.

Ellesmere Port and Neston is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Justin Madders of the Labour Party.Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to boundary changes which will involve the loss of Neston to the new constituency of Chester North and Neston. To compensate, the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral wards of Bromborough and Eastham will be transferred from the disappearing seat of Wirral South. As a consequence of these changes, the constituency will be renamed Ellesmere Port and Bromborough, to be first contested at the next general election.

Woodbank is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Puddington, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire in northwest England. It is located on the Wirral Peninsula, about 6 miles northwest of the city of Chester and near the larger village of Saughall. In 2001 the parish had a population of 62.

Ledsham railway station was on the Chester and Birkenhead Railway near Little Sutton and about a mile from the hamlet of Ledsham on the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire, England. The station was originally named 'Sutton' but renamed Ledsham on the opening of the Hooton to Helsby branch to avoid confusion with the newly built station named Little Sutton. The station opened on 23 September 1840 at the same time as the railway line, and was closed on 20 July 1959 due to a decline in passenger numbers. In October 1839, Sutton was the scene of a serious riot. On completion of the works a gang of Irish navvies working from the Birkenhead end met with a gang of English & Welsh navvies working from the Chester end when the contractors' wages clerk for the Irish gang made off with the pay for his men. Violent fighting between the two gangs ensued over two days involving some 2,000 men; military were sent from Liverpool and Chester, including a piece of ordnance from Chester, and 28 rioters were jailed. In 1891, the track from Ledsham Junction (half a mile south of the station) to Rock Ferry was quadrupled and Ledsham Station acquired four platforms. After the station closed the quadruple track was reduced to double in the 1970s. Two remaining platforms were in existence until the 1990s when they were demolished to accommodate a new road bridge which was built on the realignment of the A550. The double track through the station site now forms part of the Wirral Line to Chester, operated by Merseyrail.

Little Sutton railway station serves the village of Little Sutton, near Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England. It is situated on the Hooton–Helsby line and is served by the Wirral Line which is part of the Merseyrail network. The station is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The station opened in 1863 as "Sutton" and was renamed Little Sutton in 1886. It became part of the Merseyrail network in 1994, when the branch from Hooton to Ellesmere Port was electrified by British Rail, and through train services to Liverpool via Birkenhead commenced. Between the 2013/14 and 2019/20 periods, Little Sutton was the least-used station on the Merseyrail network. Since 2020/21 it is the second least-used station on the network.
