The area covers the residential area around the Willowdale Way/Yeoman Way circle and the property south of Sycamore Park Garden Centre on the A41 Chester Road. Planning permission was granted by Cheshire West and Cheshire Council in 2019 for a housing development to the south west of the A41/A5117 junction. Located between Childer Thornton and Great Sutton, it is a suburb of the town of Ellesmere Port. Little Sutton is mostly residential and sits either side of the A41 road, linking Birkenhead and Chester.

It became part of the Merseyrail network in 1994, when the branch from Hooton to Ellesmere Port was electrified by British Rail, and through train services to Liverpool via Birkenhead commenced. Between the 2013/14 and 2019/20 periods, Little Sutton was the least-used station on the Merseyrail network. Since 2020/21 it is the second least-used station on the network.

Sutton Hall is in the village of Little Sutton, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.The house dates mainly from the early 19th century but has a core dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. Its architectural style is late Georgian and early Regency. Its walls are rendered with rusticated quoins. The house is in two storeys with an attic. At the front is a Tuscan portico with two columns at the front and pilasters at the rear. Most of the windows are sashes. To the east is an added wing with a large full-height bow window, and there is a similar window at the west gable end.

Ellesmere Port Catholic High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in the Whitby area of Ellesmere Port in the English county of Cheshire.Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Cheshire West and Chester Council, in April 2023 Ellesmere Port Catholic High School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by The Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Academy Trust but continues to be under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury. Ellesmere Port Catholic High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels.
