Manor Downs was a horse racetrack located outside Manor, Texas, United States. It was Texas' oldest pari-mutuel horse racetrack. Live racing in the spring featured both quarter horse and thoroughbred racing. Simulcast racing was also available. Frances Carr and Sam Cutler began development of Manor Downs in 1975 on 44 acres (180,000 m2) of land that had an old horse race track on it. They initially planned for Manor Downs to be a horse-training stable and fairground facility. Manor Downs originally hosted just quarter-horse racing; but when pari-mutuel betting was legalized, the track was later upgraded for thoroughbred racing in order to qualify for a pari-mutuel license. Manor Downs was licensed as a class 2 racetrack in Texas. A class 2 racetrack is a racetrack on which racing is conducted for no more than 44 days in a calendar year. Manor Downs has also been the site for concerts through the years including Farm Aid 2 and the Grateful Dead. As horse racing's popularity waned with the slow economy of the Great Recession, Manor Downs ceased operations in late July 2010 rather than continue losing money.

Manor New Technology High School (commonly known as MNTHS or Manor New Tech) is a public secondary school in Manor, Texas, United States. The school is part of the Manor Independent School District (MISD). Serving freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, with an admissions system based on a lottery system. Three middle schools feed into Manor New Tech: Manor Middle School, Decker Middle School and Manor New Technology Middle School. The school colors are navy blue, silver, and white. The mascot is the Titans.

Manor ( MAY-nər) is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. Manor is located 12 miles northeast of Austin and is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The population was 13,652 at the 2020 census. Manor is one of the faster-growing suburbs of Austin. The city was the seventh fastest growing suburb in America in 2018 by Realtor.com and the 17th best small suburb to live in by U.S. News and World Report in 2019.

The Louis René Barrera Indiangrass Wildlife Sanctuary is a 281 acres (114 ha) preserved wildlife sanctuary in northeast Austin, Texas, on the north shore of Lake Walter E. Long. Created in 1967 as part of Austin's network of conservation lands, it focuses on conserving native grasslands and wildlife while promoting the restoration of the Blackland Prairie. The Blackland Prairie ecoregion, one of the most threatened ecosystems in Texas, has less than 1% of its original area remaining because that rest was converted to row crops and pasture by European settlers.

Austin Executive Airport (ICAO: KEDC, FAA LID: EDC) is a public-use airport in Travis County, 14 miles northeast of Austin, immediately southeast of Pflugerville and north of Manor. It was known as Bird's Nest Airport (FAA: 6R4) until 2011. Many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this facility is EDC to the FAA and has no IATA code.

KIXL (970 AM) is a Catholic talk radio station in Del Valle, Texas, United States, broadcasting to the Austin-Round Rock area of Texas. KIXL is a Relevant Radio owned-and-operated station and has been since 2005; prior to Relevant Radio, KIXL was a locally programmed Christian station for nearly 30 years.

KELG is an Austin, Texas, radio station, licensed to Manor, Texas, and is owned by Encino Broadcasting.

Ushicon was an annual three day anime convention held during February at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Pflugerville and Pflugerville Conference Center in Pflugerville, Texas. The convention resumed operation in 2011 as an 18-and-older event. It was originally held in Austin, Texas, from 2002 to 2006 until ceasing operations due to changes in anime fandom and facility issues.

KTXZ is an AM radio station, operating at 1560 kHz, licensed to West Lake Hills, Texas, and is owned by Encino Broadcasting LLC. The station airs a Tejano music format. A transmitter site is located in Northeast Austin and the station has studios along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTXZ was purchased by Encino Broadcasting LLC, along with KELG and KOKE on September 24, 2007.

Dessau is an unincorporated community in Travis County, in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located within the Greater Austin metropolitan area.

The Big Walnut Creek Nature Preserve, or simply Walnut Creek Preserve, is a 47-acre (19 ha) nature preserve located in northeast Austin, Texas in the United States.

The Luedecke Arena is a 6,400-seat multi-purpose arena on the grounds of the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, Texas. Built in 1983, the arena is home to the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo, the Republic of Texas Biker Rally and the Austin Power indoor soccer team. The arena was formerly home to the Austin Ice Bats ice hockey team from 1996 to 2006. It was also home to four indoor football teams: the Texas Terminators of the IPFL in 1999, the Austin Knights/Rockers in 2002 and 2003, the Austin Turfcats in 2009 and 2010, and the Austin Wild in 2018 and 2019. Depending on configuration, the arena floor can be configured to seat up to an additional 3,000 for a variety of events.
