The Warsaw University of Technology (Polish: Politechnika Warszawska, literally, "Warsaw Polytechnic") is one of the leading institutes of technology in Poland and one of the largest in Central Europe. It employs 2,453 teaching faculty, with 357 professors (including 145 titular professors). The student body numbers 36,156 (as of 2011), mostly full-time. There are 19 faculties (divisions) covering almost all fields of science and technology. They are in Warsaw, except for one in Płock. The Warsaw University of Technology has about 5,000 graduates per year. According to the 2008 Rzeczpospolita newspaper survey, engineers govern Polish companies. Warsaw Tech alums make up the highest percentage of Polish managers and executives. Every ninth president among the top 500 corporations in Poland is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology. Professor Kurnik, the rector, explained that the school provides a solid basis for the performance of managers by equipping its students with an education at the highest level and a preparation with the tools and information, including knowledge of foreign languages.The origins of Warsaw University of Technology date back to 1826 when engineering education was begun in the Warsaw Institute of Technology. In 2018, Times Higher Education ranked the university within the 601-800 band globally.

The University of Technology Square (Polish: Plac Politechniki) is an urban square and a roundabout in Warsaw, Poland, within the Downtown district. It forms an intersection of Nowowiejska, Noakowskiego, Lwowska, Śniadeckich, and Polna Streets. The square was constructed in 1768. Next to its is placed the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Hala Koszyki (pronounced Ko-shi-kee), also known as Koszyki Hall in English, is a historic market and food hall located on 63 Koszykowa Street in south-central Warsaw, Poland. Initially opened in 1909, it has been since redeveloped into a mixed-use retail and commercial facility with offices, bookstores, elegant bars and gourmet restaurants. The heritage shopping arcade was designed in an Art Nouveau style.

The Focus, also known as Focus Filtrowa, is an office building in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Downtown, at 26 People's Army Avenue. It was opened in 2001.

The International Business Center (IBC) is an office building complex in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Downtown, at 14 People's Army Avenue. It consists of two connected buildings, the IBC I and IBC II. The complex was opened in 2007.

The South African Embassy in Poland is the diplomatic mission of South Africa in Poland. The embassy is located in the city of Warsaw, Poland, in the Koszykowa 54 building, at 54 Koszykowa Street. The current ambassador of South Africa to Poland is Lehlohonolo Shadrack Ted Pekane.

The Monument in Memory of the Fallen Polish Airmen in World War II in Warsaw commemorates Polish airmen who died in World War II.

Muzeum i Instytut Zoologii PAN is a zoological museum in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1819. It is an institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It publishes the journal Acta Chiropterologica, a scientific journal on bats. The museum was founded in 1819 as a zoological cabinet within the Royal University of Warsaw. The early development was headed by Feliks Paweł Jarocki who was followed in 1862 by Władysław Taczanowski. Taczanowski expanded the collections with help from collectors like Konstanty Jelski and the brothers Aleksander and Konstanty Branicki who sponsored collecting expeditions into South America and Africa. In 1887 the museum managed by Ksawery Branicki was opened to the public. In 1890 the collection was managed under Russian control by Nikolai Nasonov and from 1906 by Jakow Szczełkanovtsov (until 1915). The museum was called the Polish State Museum of Natural Science in 1921 and after a fire in 1935 the museum was moved to the University of Warsaw. After the Second World War, the museum was headed by Stanisław Feliksiak. In 1952, the museum became part of the Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 1953 to 1959 the museum was headed by Tadeusz Jaczewski. Since 1999, Wiesław Bogdanowicz has been the director of the Museum and Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Politechnika Metro is a station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro, located near the main campus of Warsaw University of Technology (Polish: Politechnika Warszawska) in Central Warsaw. The station was opened on 7 April 1995 as the northern terminus of the inaugural stretch of the Warsaw Metro, between Kabaty and Politechnika. On 26 May 1998 the line was extended north to Centrum.

The Music (also known as The Music Group, Polish: Muzyka, Grupa Muzyka) is one of three sculptures located on the roof of the building on Koszykowa Street 34/50 in Warsaw since 1952. The project was chosen after an artistic competition. The monument was designed by Józef Gosławski, but his wife - Wanda - and his brother - Stanisław - helped him with its realization because of the short deadline. Lack of scaffolds, problems with obtaining funds and the short deadline forced the artists to write a letter to the chief architect of Warsaw - Józef Sigalin. After that, the conditions were improved and work was completed on time.The image of Music Group was on one of the postcards published in 1952. It cost 1.30 zł, of which 0.08 zł was spent on The Social Fund of Reconstruction of Capital City.

The Polish Cavalry Monument, also known as the Millennium Polish Cavalry Monument, is a statue located at the Polish Cavalry Roundabout (Rondo Jazdy Polskiej) in Warsaw.

Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (pl.: Wydział Mechaniczny Energetyki i Lotnictwa, MEL, MEiL) is located on the Central Campus of the Warsaw University of Technology. The Faculty consists of three organisation units: The Institute of Heat Engineering, the Institute of Aeronautics and Applied Mechanics and the Dean's Office.
