Statistics Poland (formerly known in English as the Central Statistical Office (Polish: Główny Urząd Statystyczny, popularly called GUS)) is Poland's chief government executive agency charged with collecting and publishing statistics related to the country's economy, population, and society, at the national and local levels. The president of Statistics Poland (currently Dominik Rozkrut) reports directly to the Prime Minister of Poland and is considered the equivalent of a Polish government minister. The agency was established on 13 July 1918 by Ludwik Krzywicki, one of the most notable sociologists of his time. Inactive during World War II, GUS was reorganized in March 1945 and as of 31 July 1947 was under control of the Ordinance of the Council of Ministers (along with the Organization of Official Statistics).The office is divided into several separate branches, each responsible for a different set of data. The branches include the Divisions of Coordination of Statistical Surveys, Analyses and Regional Statistics, Dissemination, National Accounts and Finance, Business Statistics and Registers, Social Statistics, Services Statistics, Agriculture and Environment Statistics, International Cooperation, Budgetary, and Personnel. Notable GUS publications include Rocznik Statystyczny (Statistical Yearbook), Mały Rocznik Statystyczny (Concise Statistical Yearbook), Demographic Yearbook of Poland, and Wiadomości Statystyczne (Statistical News). In November 2018 GUS estimated that the average monthly wage in Poland was PLN 4,966 (€1,158, $1,317). According to GUS, during the same month Poland's retail sales increased by 8.2% year-on-year and fell by 2.7% month-on-month while the economy as a whole grew at an annual rate of 5.1%. In December 2018, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 1.1% from the previous year while wages rose 1% from the previous month and unemployment rose .1%.

The Warsaw University of Technology (Polish: Politechnika Warszawska, literally, "Warsaw Polytechnic") is one of the leading institutes of technology in Poland and one of the largest in Central Europe. It employs 2,453 teaching faculty, with 357 professors (including 145 titular professors). The student body numbers 36,156 (as of 2011), mostly full-time. There are 19 faculties (divisions) covering almost all fields of science and technology. They are in Warsaw, except for one in Płock. The Warsaw University of Technology has about 5,000 graduates per year. According to the 2008 Rzeczpospolita newspaper survey, engineers govern Polish companies. Warsaw Tech alums make up the highest percentage of Polish managers and executives. Every ninth president among the top 500 corporations in Poland is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology. Professor Kurnik, the rector, explained that the school provides a solid basis for the performance of managers by equipping its students with an education at the highest level and a preparation with the tools and information, including knowledge of foreign languages.The origins of Warsaw University of Technology date back to 1826 when engineering education was begun in the Warsaw Institute of Technology. In 2018, Times Higher Education ranked the university within the 601-800 band globally.

Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (pl.: Wydział Mechaniczny Energetyki i Lotnictwa, MEL, MEiL) is located on the Central Campus of the Warsaw University of Technology. The Faculty consists of three organisation units: The Institute of Heat Engineering, the Institute of Aeronautics and Applied Mechanics and the Dean's Office.

The University of Technology Square (Polish: Plac Politechniki) is an urban square and a roundabout in Warsaw, Poland, within the Downtown district. It forms an intersection of Nowowiejska, Noakowskiego, Lwowska, Śniadeckich, and Polna Streets. The square was constructed in 1768. Next to its is placed the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The National Library (Polish: Biblioteka Narodowa) is the central Polish library, subject directly to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The library collects books, journals, electronic and audiovisual publications published in the territory of Poland, as well as Polonica published abroad. It is the most important humanities research library, the main archive of Polish writing and the state centre of bibliographic information about books. It also plays a significant role as a research facility and is an important methodological center for other Polish libraries. The National Library receives a copy of every book published in Poland as legal deposit. The Jagiellonian Library is the only other library in Poland to have a national library status.

Hala Koszyki (pronounced Ko-shi-kee), also known as Koszyki Hall in English, is a historic market and food hall located on 63 Koszykowa Street in south-central Warsaw, Poland. Initially opened in 1909, it has been since redeveloped into a mixed-use retail and commercial facility with offices, bookstores, elegant bars and gourmet restaurants. The heritage shopping arcade was designed in an Art Nouveau style.

The Polish Patent Office (PPO) (Polish: Urząd Patentowy Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (UPRP)) is the patent office of Poland. It is based in Warsaw.

The International Business Center (IBC) is an office building complex in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Downtown, at 14 People's Army Avenue. It consists of two connected buildings, the IBC I and IBC II. The complex was opened in 2007.

Muzeum i Instytut Zoologii PAN is a zoological museum in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1819. It is an institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It publishes the journal Acta Chiropterologica, a scientific journal on bats. The museum was founded in 1819 as a zoological cabinet within the Royal University of Warsaw. The early development was headed by Feliks Paweł Jarocki who was followed in 1862 by Władysław Taczanowski. Taczanowski expanded the collections with help from collectors like Konstanty Jelski and the brothers Aleksander and Konstanty Branicki who sponsored collecting expeditions into South America and Africa. In 1887 the museum managed by Ksawery Branicki was opened to the public. In 1890 the collection was managed under Russian control by Nikolai Nasonov and from 1906 by Jakow Szczełkanovtsov (until 1915). The museum was called the Polish State Museum of Natural Science in 1921 and after a fire in 1935 the museum was moved to the University of Warsaw. After the Second World War, the museum was headed by Stanisław Feliksiak. In 1952, the museum became part of the Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 1953 to 1959 the museum was headed by Tadeusz Jaczewski. Since 1999, Wiesław Bogdanowicz has been the director of the Museum and Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The Polish Cavalry Monument, also known as the Millennium Polish Cavalry Monument, is a statue located at the Polish Cavalry Roundabout (Rondo Jazdy Polskiej) in Warsaw.

The South African Embassy in Poland is the diplomatic mission of South Africa in Poland. The embassy is located in the city of Warsaw, Poland, in the Koszykowa 54 building, at 54 Koszykowa Street. The current ambassador of South Africa to Poland is Lehlohonolo Shadrack Ted Pekane.
