Castlebar Hill is a hill in Ealing which is 167 feet (51 m) high. In the 18th century, it was the location of Castle Beare, a grand mansion or country seat, for the area at this time was but a hamlet, not yet having been built up as part of the London conurbation.Castlebar Hill is also the name of one of the roads that runs up the hill (now classed as part of the B455). An experimental hostel for deaf and blind children was founded at what is now 8 Castlebar Hill by Dr Edith Whetnall FRCS, a pioneering audiologist. The hostel was opened in 1953 by Iain Macleod MP and Spencer Tracy, as part of The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. It closed in 1993. In 2015, the Ealing Civil Society unveiled a plaque dedicated to the work of Dr Edith Whetnall on the building.

Notting Hill and Ealing High School is an independent school for girls aged 4 – 18 in Ealing, London. Founded in 1873, it is one of the 26 schools that make up the Girls' Day School Trust. It has a Junior Department of 310 girls (ages 4–11) and a Senior Department of 600 girls (ages 11–18). The current Headmaster is Mr Matthew Shoults. Ms Bevan is Head of the Junior School.

Pitshanger (sometimes referred to as Pitshanger Village) is a small but busy local suburb, centred on the shops in Pitshanger Lane, located about 1 mile north of Ealing Broadway in west London. First mentioned in 1493, possibly meaning an area of sloped woodland frequented by birds. It contains numerous small independent shops, several cafes, two pubs, two churches, a school, and a park (Pitshanger Park), and is often taken to also include parts of the nearby Brentham Garden Suburb.

Ealing Abbey is a Catholic Benedictine monastic foundation on Castlebar Hill in Ealing. It is part of the English Benedictine Congregation. As of 2020, the Abbey had 14 monks.

St Stephen's Church is a Church of England church in the northern part of West Ealing, London. It was founded in 1867 as a mission and is now established as a separate parish. The first church building was a temporary iron church which was then replaced in 1876 by a substantial Victorian Gothic stone building which is now Grade II listed. Subsidence made that unsafe and it was deconsecrated in 1979. It has been converted to flats but still forms the landmark centrepiece of the St Stephen's Conservation Area. The congregation now holds services on the site of the church hall which has been redeveloped as the third church building and church centre.

North Ealing Primary School is a community primary school founded in August 1911 and situated on Pitshanger Lane, Ealing, London.

The Lytton Road Assembly Rooms were built by E. Fergusson Taylor in New Barnet around 1870.Film pioneer Birt Acres gave a display of moving pictures to the Lyonsdown Photographic Society there on 10 January 1896.The building became a cinema in 1925 and was replaced with a purpose built building in 1926 known as The Hippodrome, the New Barnet Kinema, the New Barnet Picture Theatre, and The Regal from 1933. It later became a Mecca bingo hall, a snooker club, and finally a Quazer laser war games centre. It was demolished in 1999 and the flats known as Clivedon Court were built on the site.

St Benedict's School, usually referred to as St Benedict's, is a British co-educational independent Roman Catholic day school situated in Ealing, West London. A Benedictine Roman Catholic school, it accepts and educates pupils of all faiths.

St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane is a Church of England church in London Borough of Ealing. It was Grade II listed in 1997.

The Duke of Kent is a Grade II listed public house at 2 Scotch Common, Ealing, London.It was built in 1929 by Nowell Parr as the "Kent Hotel" and is owned by Fuller's Brewery.
