East Keswick

Bardsey railway station was a railway station on the Cross Gates to Wetherby line serving the village of Bardsey, West Yorkshire connecting it with the town of Wetherby to the North and the city of Leeds to the south. The station opened in 1876 and closed, along with the line, following the Beeching axe in 1964.

All Hallows Church in Bardsey, West Yorkshire, England is an active Anglican parish church in the archdeaconry of Leeds and the Diocese of Leeds. The Bardsey Millennium Tapestry, created by many people from the village, is hung at the west end of the north wall of the church. The tapestry took nearly five years to complete and was officially unveiled in October 2001.

Boulton St Mary's is the Church of England parish church for the Boulton ward of Derby. It is located on Boulton Lane, Alvaston, Derby, Derbyshire, England. It is part of the Diocese of Derby. The church is dedicated to Saint Mary. The church is believed to date back to Norman times and is still in regular ecclesiastical use today.

St Mary Immaculate Church is a Catholic church in Sicklinghall, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. From the 1760s, Catholics in Sicklinghall worshipped in the chapel at nearby Stockeld Park. One of the owners of the house, Peter Middleton, funded the construction of a Catholic church in Sicklinghall, which was constructed between 1849 and 1854, to a design by Charles Hansom. He also designed the adjoining presbytery and monastery. A transept and porch were added in 1865, probably to a design by Edward Welby Pugin. The monastery was later converted into the Convent of the Holy Family, which the church became a chapel of ease to St Joseph's Church, Wetherby. The church, presbytery and convent were collectively grade II listed in 1986. The sanctuary was reordered by Vincente Stienlet in 1999. The church is now a chapel of ease of St Joseph's Church in Wetherby. The church is built of sandstone with a slate roof, and consists of a nave and a chancel, and a north porch and transept. On the west end is a bellcote. To the south is a quadrangle containing the presbytery and former monastic buildings. Inside, there is a west gallery supported on pillars brought from elsewhere, and 1960s neo-Gothic altar, reredos and panelling by Robert Thompson. The oak pews date from 1960, while there is an 18th-century altar in the Lady Chapel. The east window has three lights and contains stained glass by William Wailes.

Sicklinghall is a village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England that is situated between the town of Wetherby (3 miles (5 km) to the east) and the village of Kirkby Overblow. In 2007 the population was recorded as 300, increasing to 336 at the 2011 Census.The village is surrounded by granges; on the eastern side lie Skerry Grange and Sicklinghall Grange and on the western Addlethorpe Grange. Sicklinghall Grange is set in a 107-acre (0.43 km2) estate, it is the UK residence of racehorse owner, Sir Robert Ogden. However the 'big house' is Stockeld Park, a Grade I-listed palladian villa that sits at the heart of a 2,000-acre estate and is home to the Grant family.

Scarcroft is a village and civil parish 6 miles (10 km) north east of Leeds city centre in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, West Yorkshire, England. The village lies on the main A58 road between Leeds and Wetherby. It had a population of 1,153 increasing to 1,194 at the 2011 Census.The village of Bardsey is further 1 mile (2 km) eastwards on the A58 towards Wetherby. The Scarcroft Watermill was built in 1810 to grind corn. There is one pub in Scarcroft, the New Inn, established in 1852. It was at one time called The Bracken Fox but reverted to its former name in 2011. The village's shop and post office have closed. The closest local shops are in Bardsey, Shadwell and Whinmoor. The closest supermarkets are Tesco in Seacroft and Morrisons in Wetherby. Scarcroft is also renowned for having among the most expensive streets in Leeds: Bracken Park, recently revealed as the most expensive and Ling Lane, regularly appearing in top ten lists.

Harewood speed Hillclimb (the form with italics and a lower-case s is used officially) is a hillclimb near the village of Harewood, West Yorkshire, England. The track can be found on the A659 between Harewood village and Collingham, north of Leeds. In addition to national events, it hosts rounds of the British Hill Climb Championship, a Classic & Historic Hillclimb and an event that includes bikes. Around 11 meetings are organised between April and September each year by the British Automobile Racing Club Yorkshire Centre. The first event on the track took place on 16 September 1962, and Best Time of the Day was set at 51.61s by Tony Lanfranchi driving an Elva Mk VI. This was on the original 'Short Course'. The first R.A.C. Hill Climb Championship event was held in September, 1964. In the mid 1990s the track was extended to 1,584 yards (1,448 m). As of 2023, the outright hill record holder was Matt Ryder, whose time of 49.39 seconds was set on 3 July 2022 in that day's 2nd Top 12 Runoff.
