Pimpama & Ormeau War Memorial is a heritage-listed memorial at Pacific Highway, Pimpama, Queensland, Australia. It was built in 1919. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Gilmour Space Technologies is a venture-funded Australian space company headquartered in Queensland, Australia that is developing hybrid-engine rockets and associated technology to support the development of a low-cost space launch vehicle.Founded in 2012, Gilmour Space's function is to provide space launch services to the small satellite market – offering a range of Australian Made Eris orbital rockets, launched from Gilmour's private spaceport in north Queensland; and a modular G-Sat small satellite bus/platform.The maiden flight of its Eris rocket, which was unveiled by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as Australia's first sovereign made orbital rocket, is planned for no earlier than 2024 from the Bowen Orbital Spaceport in Abbot Point, Bowen.Gilmour Space has near-term plans to develop a range of Eris launch vehicles capable of carrying larger satellites/payloads into Low Earth Orbits, and eventually provide space access for human spaceflight and exploration.

Willow Vale is a rural locality in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Willow Vale had a population of 2,096 people.Before the naming of this locality, the area was generally referred to as Pimpama.

Albert was a Legislative Assembly electorate in the state of Queensland which existed from 1887 to 1949 and 1959 to 2017.Albert was named for the Albert River, which runs through the electorate and separates Logan City from City of Gold Coast. It was first created in a redistribution in 1887 ahead of the 1888 colonial election and continued to exist (with various boundary alterations) until 1949, when the Darlington and Southport electorates were created. In 1959, the electorate was established again. The 1971 and 1977 redistributions greatly reduced the area of the electorate and minor changes were made in 1991, including the loss of Carbrook in the north and coastal areas below Paradise Point in the south.Its consistently changing boundaries together with its existence in a high-growth area do not provide consistent political leanings over time, although it showed more inclination towards the Labor Party over time than any other Gold Coast seat. The last Member for Albert, Mark Boothman, was first elected in the 2012 election. Albert was removed in the 2017 electoral redistribution, its northern part being transferred into Logan and Macalister, its centre part transferred into Coomera, and its southern part transferred into the new electorate of Theodore.

Laurel Hill Farmhouse is a heritage-listed farm house at 105 Ruffles Road, Willow Vale, City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1883 to 1884 by Alexander Fortune for William Doherty. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 1 December 1997.

Power's Brewery now CUB brewery, is a brewery based at Yatala in South East Queensland, Australia. It started out as an upstart brewery headed by publican Bernie Power to compete against the major Queensland brewery Castlemaine Perkins, in particular XXXX, during the Australian beer wars of the late 1980s. When mogul Alan Bond took over XXXX, Power's commenced operations in 1988. Castlemaine Perkins changed their terms of credit to hoteliers from one month to one week in late 1985. Power then became determined to brew his own brand (Brews News, 5 Jun 2015). He head hunted a number of young brewers from various brands. Power's sponsored the Brisbane Broncos and Cronulla Sharks NSWRL teams. By 1991/2 Power's had claimed roughly 14% of Queensland's beer market until being bought out by Foster's Group CUB brewery. In 1992 Power's entered into a joint operation with CUB. As Bernie Power claimed later the brewery was close to closure when CUB stepped in. He sold out to CUB in 1993. The entire length of Yatala Rd was owned by Power's, and the site was approved for brewing. CUB then set about building the largest brewery in the country. The original beers were Power's Bitter, Power's Gold and Power's Dry. The replacement facility now produces all of the CUB beers consumed outside of Victoria. Other mentions of the beer can be found on the Foster's lager page and Australian beer page.The Power Brewing sponsored Brisbane Broncos, won the 1992 NSWRL Grand Final, the telecast rights had been secured in March 1992 by Andrew Cole (AKA Adman Andy) using a strategy and tactics that saw long time telecast holder XXXX Castlemaine Brewer lose those telecast rights on the 9 Network, the official broadcaster of the NSWRL in Australia. The sponsorship of the NSWRL gave Power Brewing the necessary coverage to their target market that in part lead to the increase in their market share of the Queensland beer market.
