Milan Zoo was a zoo in Milan, Lombardy, northern Italy, created in the Indro Montanelli Public Gardens in 1932 and closed in 1992.

Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli ("Indro Montanelli Public Gardens"), formerly known as Giardini Pubblici and Giardini di Porta Venezia (and renamed after journalist and writer Indro Montanelli in 2002) are a major and historic city park in Milan, Italy, located in the Porta Venezia district, north-east of the city center, in the Zone 1 administrative division. Established in 1784, they are the oldest city park in Milan. After their establishment, the Gardens have been repeatedly enlarged (to the current overall area of 172.000 m2) and enriched with notable buildings, most notably the Natural History Museum (1888–1893) and the Planetarium (1930).

The Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea or PAC is a museum of contemporary art in Milan, Italy. It is on via Palestro, next to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna, and across from the Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli.

The Villa Belgiojoso Bonaparte, also known as Villa Reale and formerly called Villa Comunale, is a palace in Milan, in Lombardy in northern Italy. It was built between 1790 and 1796 as the residence of Count Ludovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso. The villa is in Neoclassical style, and was designed by Leopoldo Pollack. The main entrance is on via Palestro, facing the Giardini Pubblici of Porta Venezia, the eastern gate of the city. During the Kingdom of Italy it became the residence of Viceroy Eugene de Beuharnais and his family In 1920 the villa came under the ownership of the Comune of Milan; in 1921 it became the home of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna.Beside the villa is the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea, an exhibition space for contemporary art, which was built in 1955 on the site of the former stables of the palace, destroyed by wartime bombing.The gardens of the villa, in English style with an artificial lake, were laid out by Leopoldo Pollack.

The Galleria d'Arte Moderna ("modern art gallery") is a modern art museum in Milan, in Lombardy in northern Italy. It is housed in the Villa Reale, at Via Palestro 16, opposite the Giardini Pubblici. The collection consists largely of Italian and European works from the 18th to the 20th centuries.The museum has works by Francesco Filippini, Giuseppe Ferrari, Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega, Giovanni Boldini, Vincent van Gogh, Édouard Manet, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Francesco Hayez, Giovanni Segantini, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo and Antonio Canova, among others. It has received donations from Milanese families including Treves, Ponti, Grassi and Vismara. After the Second World War the twentieth-century works in the collection were moved to the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea, built in 1955 on the site of the former stables of the palace, which had been destroyed by wartime bombing.In 2011 some works were moved to the Museo del Novecento; these included Bambina che corre sul balcone by Giacomo Balla (1912), Uomo che dorme by Renato Guttuso (1938) and The Fourth Estate by Pellizza da Volpedo (1901). In recent years the Modern Art Gallery has started a parallel program of temporary exhibitions, including a solo presentation of Tino Sehgal and a selection of drawings from the UBS Art Collection curated by Francesco Bonami.

Palazzo Dugnani or Palazzo Casati Dugnani is a Baroque-style monumental palace located on Via Daniele Marin #2, near Porta Venezia in Milan, region of Lombardy, Italy. The rear of the palace faces the street, while the facade faces the western edge of the Giardini Indro Montanelli. The palace is notable for its salon frescoed by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.

The Centro Svizzero Milano (English: Milan Swiss Center) is an early skyscraper and a landmark in Milan, Italy. Built in 1949-51 to replace the Hotel Cavour, it was Milan's highest building until 1954, when it was overtaken by the so-called "Breda Tower". The tower is situated at Via Palestro 2-4, near the center of Milan, and has a height of 20 stories (80 m). Its construction by architects Armin Meili and Giovanni Romano was initiated by the Swiss Association of Milan as a replacement of their former headquarters that were destroyed by a 1943 bombing raid. Nowadays, it also houses among others the Swiss General Consulate, the Swiss Institute of Culture and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, as well as offices of Switzerland Tourism and Swiss TV and Radio. The building is owned by the Swiss Federal Authorities.

The Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Milano (Milan Natural History Museum) is a museum in Milan, Italy. It was founded in 1838 when naturalist Giuseppe de Cristoforis donated his collections to the city. Its first director was Giorgio Jan. The Museum is located within a 19th-century building in the Indro Montanelli Garden, near the historic city gate of Porta Venezia. The structure was built between 1888 and 1893 in Neo-Romanesque style with Gothic elements. The museum is divided into five different permanent sections: Mineralogy (with a large collection of minerals from all over the world); Paleontology (with several fossils of dinosaurs and other prehistoric organisms); Natural History of Man (dedicated to the origins and evolution of humans with a particular attention to the relationship of the latter with the environment); Invertebrate Zoology (dedicated to mollusks, arthropods and entomology); and Vertebrate Zoology (dedicated to vertebrates, both exotic and European). The museum also exhibits the largest Italian collection of full size dioramas (over 100) that allow visitors to observe some peculiar aspects of various ecosystems.

The Monument to the Felice Cavallotti is a marble sculpture on a plinth located Via Marina #2 in Milan, Italy. It is located just north of the facade of the Palazzo del Senato in Milan, in a pocket park that emerges south of the gardens of the Villa Belgiojoso Bonaparte. The monument was created by Italian sculptor Ernesto Bazzaro and is dedicated to tempestuous patriot, politician, journalist, and poet, Felice Cavallotti. The statue celebrates Cavallotti with idiosyncratic iconography, and it's placement also has migrated across the city since its initial inauguration in 1905. The monument was commissioned three years after his death by duel in 1898 by a committee led by Giuseppe Missori, a former fellow-follower of Garibaldi. Atop the plinth is a naked recumbent statue between two sculpted pillows depicting Leonidas, the King of Spartans, and subject of one of Cavallotti's poems. Leondias lays partly on his shield, the long spear once leaning over the side of the sculpture has broken and has not been repaired. He gazes towards the distance. In the plinth below is a raised relief, with rough unfinished sections, depicting with three scenes from the life of Cavallotti, unfolding from the right front clockwise to the back of the statue, depicting Cavallotti haranguing the masses; Cavallotti tending to the children with cholera in Naples; and in the back, crowd attending Cavallotti's funeral. The statue was initially placed in 1906 in Piazza della Rosa, later renamed piazza Pio XI, in front of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, but putatively this displeased the monks associated with the library. It was moved in 1933 elsewhere, and then in 1943 moved to this spot to replace the statue of another Garibaldini patriot, Giacomo Medici, which had been destroyed by Allied bombardments of World War II.

Palazzo Castiglioni is an Art Nouveau palace of Milan, northern Italy. It was designed by Giuseppe Sommaruga in the Liberty style and built between 1901 and 1903. The rusticated blocks of the basement imitate a natural rocky shape, while the rest of the decorations are inspired by 18th century stuccos. The building is now used as the seat of the Unione Commercianti di Milano (Traders' Union of Milan).
