Kempsey is a village and civil parish in the Malvern Hills District in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is bounded by the River Severn on the west, and the A38 main road runs through it and is about 3 miles (5 km) south of Worcester. The village has a long history. Its name is derived from the Saxon "Kemys' Eye", or the island of Kemys. Kemys was a Saxon chief, whose island lay between marshes and the River Severn. One of the roads in Kempsey, Lyf's Lane, is named after another Saxon chief. The village was recorded in the 11th century Domesday Book as having a value of £7. The local Anglican church of St. Mary was built between the 12th century and 15th centuries, and the 15th century tower is 82 feet (25 m) tall. The composer Sir Edward Elgar lived in the village from 1923 to 1927, during which time he was made Master of the King's Music. The village has several pubs including one named after Bishop Walter de Cantilupe.

The Rhydd (formerly Rhydd Court) is an English country house alongside the River Severn, near the village of Hanley Castle, Worcestershire, about halfway between Malvern and the small town of Upton-upon-Severn. The house is now a care home.

Pirton is a small village in the English county of Worcestershire. The village has been occupied since at least 1086, when Domesday listed the village of Peritone within the hundred of Pershore.Pirton has some uncommon features for a village. The most unusual is an 18th-century folly named Pirton Tower near a lake named Pirton Pool. It is one of the remaining artifices which the Earl of Coventry built to add artistic interest to views from the park at his distant estate, Croome Court. Pirton Tower and some of the other follies became purposed as local picnic houses. The follies were allowed to fall into disrepair. Pirton has a Council-owned wood, beside Pirton Green. Pirton Church has a storied history. It is about half a mile away from "main" Pirton. When the Black Death arrived in Pirton c. 1357, it was tremendously harmful for the villagers. There is a ditch which was a mass grave for those who died because of the illness. The surviving residents had to move to the countryside at the time of the black death. The current Pirton Church is about 500 years old and has been in continuous use. It still conducts services on Sundays or e.g.: Mass. Pirton has a nearby level crossing which used to be called Pirton Sidings due to the sidings that used to be there. Pirton Level Crossing is a highly filmed location for Rail Enthusiasts.

Callow End is a constituent village of the civil parish of Powick in the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire, England. It is located on the B4424 road about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south of its junction with the main A449 Malvern to Worcester road. The village school, Callow End Church of England Primary School, is part of the Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust. There are two pubs in the village, The Old Bush and The Bluebell. A popular walking spot is next to the village, namely The Old Hills . Callow End Court is a Grade II listed French-style 19th century country house, located to the west of the village. The church of St James was built in 1888 by the sixth Earl Beauchamp as a secondary chapel within the parish of Powick. The war memorial, next to the Callow End Club, is a Grade II listed monument, in the form of a hooded Portland stone cross.Callow End is the former home of Stanbrook Abbey, a Benedictine convent that opened in 1838, and had a chapel added in 1871. The building is now an hotel. Wheatfield Park is a residential park home estate to the north of the village. It was built in the grounds of the former Wheatfield Court manor house, which was left a ruin after a fire in 2004.

Clevelode is a small village in Worcestershire, England. It is located around 5 miles south of Worcester just to the west of the River Severn. Clevelode is next to the B4244 between Callow End and Hanley Castle in the civil parish of Powick. A caravan park and bed and breakfast are located just south of Clevelode.

Hanley Castle is a village and civil parish in Worcestershire, England, between the towns of Malvern and Upton upon Severn and a short distance from the River Severn. It lies in the administrative area of Malvern Hills District, and is part of the informal region known as The Malverns. It is served primarily by bus service 332 Worcester - Upton upon Severn - Hanley Castle operated by Aston Coaches and 363 Worcester - Tewkesbury operated by First Worcester. The village population together with that of the nearby village of Hanley Swan is around 1500. The central feature of the village is the cul-de-sac of Church End with its village green dominated by a huge Cedar of Lebanon tree that is reputed to be approximately 900 years old, the unspoiled 15th-century red-brick and timbered pub, other listed buildings, and the campus of Hanley Castle High School.
