Bermondsey Beer Mile

North Southwark and Bermondsey was a parliamentary constituency which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The constituency was created for the 1997 general election. Minor boundary changes occurred for the 2010 general election; the constituency was renamed Bermondsey and Old Southwark.

The Metropolitan Borough of Bermondsey was a Metropolitan borough in the County of London, created in 1900 by the London Government Act 1899. It was abolished and its area became part of the London Borough of Southwark in 1965.

The River Neckinger is a reduced subterranean river that rises in Southwark and flows approximately 2.5 kilometres (1.6 miles) through that part of London to St Saviour's Dock where it enters the Thames. What remains of the river is enclosed and runs underground and most of its narrow catchment has been diverted into other combined and surface water sewers, flowing into the Southern Outfall Sewer and the Thames respectively.

Bermondsey () is a district in southeast London, part of the London Borough of Southwark, England, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast of Charing Cross. It lies within the historic county boundaries of Surrey. During the Industrial Revolution Bermondsey became a centre for manufacturing, particularly in relation to tanning. More recently it has experienced regeneration including warehouse conversions to flats and the provision of new transport links.

The Bermondsey dive-under is a significant piece of rail infrastructure to the south of London Bridge Station in Bermondsey, London. A dive-under is where one set of rail lines tunnel under another set instead of crossing them on the level, this allows for independent running and increases the capacity of both tracks. For historical reasons, Bermondsey was a point of congestion where tracks from Kent heading to Charing Cross station had to cross the tracks coming from Sussex and running north to terminate at London Bridge or through to Blackfriars.

Bermondsey Spa Gardens is a park in Bermondsey, London. It is located on Grange Road, SE1 3AH. The park has been included in the recent and ongoing regeneration of the Bermondsey Spa area. The 4.5-acre (18,000 m2) park, with improvements designed by the architects Broadway Malyan, is intended to act as a focal point for the surrounding area.

Jacob's Island was a notorious slum in Bermondsey, London, in the 19th century. It was located on the south bank of the River Thames, approximately delineated by the modern streets of Mill Street, Bermondsey Wall West, George Row and Wolseley Street. Jacob's Island developed a reputation as one of the worst slums in London, and was popularised by the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist, published shortly before the area was cleared in the 1860s.

Grange Walk is a historic road in Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark, in south London. It runs between Tower Bridge Road in the west and Neckinger in the east.

Shad Thames is a historic riverside street next to Tower Bridge in Bermondsey, London, England, and is also an informal name for the surrounding area. In the 19th century, the area included the largest warehouse complex in London.
