Tupper Memorial Baptist Church

The Masonic Temple Building, built in 1907, is an historic Prince Hall Masonic building located at 427 South Blount Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a three-story, red brick flat roofed building. It has a metal cornice at the top of the first floor level and a cast iron Corinthian order column at the corner. On May 3, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.Today it is occupied by Widow's Son Lodge #4 and Excelsior Lodge #21 as well as barber shops and a beauty salon.It is one of two places of the same name in Raleigh on the National Register of Historic Places, the other being the much larger Masonic Temple Building, Fayetteville Street (Raleigh, North Carolina), which was also built in 1907.

Constructed in 1907 by Grand Lodge of North Carolina, the building represents the growth of Raleigh in the early 20th century and rise of the influence of Masons. The Masonic Temple Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and is a Raleigh Historic Landmark.It's one of two Raleigh places of the same name on the National Register of Historic Places, the other being the Masonic Temple Building located on Blount Street, which was also built in 1907.

The Fedora Project is an independent project under a legal responsibility of Red Hat to coordinate the development of Fedora Linux, a Linux-based operating system, operating with the mission of creating "an innovative platform for hardware, clouds, and containers that enables software developers and community members to build tailored solutions for their users". The project also oversees Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux, a special interest group which maintains the eponymous packages. The project was founded in 2003 as a result of a merger between the Red Hat Linux (RHL) and Fedora Linux projects. It is sponsored by Red Hat primarily, but its employees make up only 35% of project contributors, and most of the over 2,000 contributors are unaffiliated members of the community.

The Pope House Museum, built in 1901, is a restored home once owned by Dr. Manassa Thomas Pope, a prominent African-American citizen of Raleigh, North Carolina. The Pope House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, It was an official project of the Save America’s Treasures Program and the city of Raleigh took over management of it, offering tours for the first time in 2012.

One City Plaza, formerly called One Bank of America Plaza, is a 17-story skyscraper located at 421 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, North Carolina with 367,225 square feet (34,116.3 m2).

Rogers-Bagley-Daniels-Pegues House is a historic home located at Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1855, and is a two-story, three bay by two bay, Greek Revival-style frame dwelling with a low hipped roof and Italianate-style accents. It has a hip roofed porch with Doric order posts and bay windows. It was built by Sion Hart Rogers (1825-1874), a Congressman from and Attorney General of North Carolina. It was the home of Josephus Daniels (1862-1948) from about 1894 to 1913.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Red Hat Tower is the headquarters of Red Hat. It is located at Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It was completed in 2004 at a cost of $100 million as a headquarters for Progress Energy Inc and has 19 floors and 366,000 square feet (34,000 m2) of space. It is owned by J.P. Morgan Trust Co.

One Progress Plaza is a high-rise building in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was completed in 1977 as a headquarters for Carolina Power & Light (now Progress Energy Inc) and has 21 floors and 440,000 square feet (41,000 m2) of space. It is owned by Hawthorn Associates. Former names include Center Plaza, CP&L Building, and Progress Energy Building. In 1999, Carolina Power & Light announced plans for a new headquarters tower. The 2000 merger with Florida Progress Corporation which created Progress Energy increased the need for the new building. The company bought the two-acre site east of the existing headquarters in 2000.On August 27, 2003, Progress Energy named its headquarters Progress Plaza, intending the name to refer to its entire complex of buildings. Once the new headquarters was complete, the plan was to call the existing headquarters One Progress Plaza and the new building Two Progress Plaza.The January 2011 announcement that Progress will merge with Duke Energy left the status of One Progress Plaza in question, since completion of the merger would likely mean the company needs less space. However, on August 25, 2011, Red Hat announced plans to take over Two Progress Plaza, which forced Progress Energy to move its entire Raleigh operation into One Progress Plaza upon completion of the merger.

City Market in Raleigh is a market located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It was founded in October, 1914. It became known as a historic place when Raleigh City Council secured a grant from the North Carolina Division of Archives & History to study the architectural resources surrounding Moore Square, in 1980. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Raleigh. In early May, 2008, the market was the location of an art project unveiling by the Visual Art Exchange. The market hosts a monthly festival, called First Friday, on the first Friday of every month.

FNB Tower is a 22-story, 358-foot-tall (109 m) skyscraper in Raleigh, North Carolina. The mixed-use development contains 239 luxury apartments along with office and retail space. FNB Tower is located at 501 Fayetteville Street.

Estey Hall is a historic building on the campus of Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was the first building constructed for the higher education of African-American women in the United States. Built in 1873, Estey Hall is the oldest surviving building at Shaw, which is the oldest historically black college in the South and was the second institution of higher learning established for freedmen after the Civil War. The building, originally known as "Estey Seminary," was named in honor of Jacob Estey, the largest donor to the construction project. Estey Hall, located in the East Raleigh-South Park Historic District, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is a Raleigh Historic Landmark.

Shaw University is a private Baptist historically black university in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. Founded on December 1, 1865, Shaw University is the oldest HBCU to begin offering courses in the Southern United States. The school had its origin in the formation of a theological class of freedmen in the Guion Hotel. The following year it moved to a large wooden building, at the corner of Blount and Cabarrus Streets in Raleigh, where it continued as the Raleigh Institute until 1870. In 1870, the school moved to its current location on the former property of Confederate General Barringer and changed its name to the Shaw Collegiate Institute, in honor of Elijah Shaw. In 1875, the school was officially chartered with the State of North Carolina as Shaw University.The main campus resides on 24 acres in the East Raleigh-South Park Historic District in downtown Raleigh. Shaw also owns and operates a 35-acre farm located on Rock Quarry Rd. Historical buildings, which either currently (Estey Hall) or previously (Shaw Hall) reside on campus, were designed by the famed Raleigh architect George S. H. Appleget and feature a Second Empire and Italianate architectural styles. Other architectural styles present on campus are Leonard Hall, a twin-turret Romanesque Revival style building, and several buildings featuring Brutalist style architectures. Shaw is known for many significant historical achievements. It was the first university to offer a four-year medical school, the first to offer a school of pharmacy, and the first to offer a law school for freed slaves in the United States. The first building of higher education for African American women in the country was built and still resides on the campus of Shaw. Shaw is the alma mater of one United Nations General Assembly President, three founders of other North Carolina HBCUs, and numerous entertainers, lawyers, politicians, and educators. Along with Howard University, Hampton University, Lincoln University and Virginia Union University, Shaw was a co-founding member of the NCAA Division II's Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference, the oldest African American athletic association in the U.S. The university has won CIAA championships in Football, Basketball (women's and men's), Tennis (women's and men's) and volleyball.
