Divine Lorraine Hotel

Park Theatre was a theatre located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, at 701-705 North Broad Street. Constructed in 1889, it was situated at the corner of Broad and Fairmont Ave. It opened as a legitimate theatre and later became a venue for vaudeville, minstrel shows, and stock theatre. In 1911 it became part of the Nixon theatre chain, and was renamed the Empire Theatre. It was converted into a burlesque venue that also screened silent films. In March 1915 the theatre was closed after it was sold. It was sold again at auction the following December to John Wanamaker. Wanamaker converted the building into a new headquarters for the Salvation Army, and the building reopened as the Salvation Army Memorial Building on May 13, 1917. This building had an auditorium known as Evangeline Hall. The building later became known as the Salvation Army Memorial Temple. It was demolished in March 1970, and a new Salvation Army building was constructed on the same site which was open by November 1972.

Fairmount station is a subway station in the Francisville section of North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is served by SEPTA's Broad Street Line (as a local stop) and the Broad-Ridge Spur. There are three separate platforms. The Broad-Ridge Spur and Broad Street Line (BSL) northbound platforms connect inside the faregates, but the BSL's southbound platform cannot be reached from the other two without exiting. Such a connection once existed; the sealed-off entrance can be seen at platform level heading south towards the end of the platform. Travelers wishing to switch between the Broad-Ridge Spur and the southbound BSL must connect at Girard. The Broad-Ridge Spur platform is shortened and can only accommodate short 2-car trains; the unused part of the platform is visible from passing trains and is covered in layers of graffiti. Fairmount station on the Broad-Ridge Spur has a full mezzanine concourse extending from Wallace Street to Ridge Avenue, now abandoned.

Congregation Rodeph Shalom of Philadelphia, founded in 1795, is the oldest Ashkenazic synagogue in the Western Hemisphere. It is noted historically for its leadership of the Reform Judaism among American Hebrew congregations, for its spiritual influence upon international Jewry, and for its unique 1927 Moorish Revival building on North Broad Street, on the National Register of Historic Places for many decades.

Snellenburg's Clothing Factory is a historic factory complex located in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built by the N. Snellenburg & Company and consists of two parts: a large, ornate building built in 1903, and a long, narrow building built in 1905. They are connected by a bridge at the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors. The front building is seven stories, constructed of limestone and brick with terra cotta ornament, and features a central tower.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Lower North Philadelphia Speculative Housing Historic District, also known as the Cecil B. Moore Redevelopment Area, is a national historic district located in the North Central neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 855 contributing buildings. It is a predominantly residential district, primarily built between 1868 and 1875 and representative of the Italianate and Gothic architectural styles. It mostly consists of rowhouse blocks, with dwellings mostly three stories in height and between 14 and 21 feet wide. Notable non-residential buildings include the former Gethsemane Baptist Church, Messiah Lutheran Church, and Universalist Church of the Restoration. Located in the district and separately listed are the George Meade School, Muhlenberg School, and Wagner Free Institute of Science.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Fairmount Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 75 contributing buildings and includes commercial, residential, and industrial properties. Residential buildings include mid- to late 19th-century vernacular Late Victorian rowhouses. Notable commercial and industrial buildings date to the early 20th century through 1930, and are in the early modern and Art Deco styles. Notable non-residential buildings include the A.F. Bernot and Brothers dye works (1900–01), Gaul, Derr, and Shearer building (1911, 1915), Security Elevator factory (1925), and the Alemite Lubricator Company offices (1925).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art, founded in 1975, located within historic Congregation Rodeph Shalom, is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art that illuminates the Jewish experience. The museum has organized solo and group exhibitions of work in many mediums by artists of diverse backgrounds. In addition to its special-exhibit gallery, the Museum features a permanent collection of important works by accomplished artists including William Anastasi, Chaim Gross, Tobi Kahn, Joan Snyder, Shelley Spector, Boaz Vaadia and Roman Vishniac. Showcased in the Thalheimer Entrance Foyer of the synagogue on Broad Street is the museum's Leon J. and Julia S. Obermayer Collection of Jewish Ritual Art.

The Biberman Building is a historic factory located in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia. It was built in 1919–1920, and is a six-story, reinforced concrete building faced in brick and limestone. It features a Classical Revival-style entrance. A seventh floor was removed in 1975. It housed the Biberman Brothers, Co., clothing manufacturers, into the 1970s.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Metropolitan Opera House is a historic opera house located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It has been used for many different purposes over its history. Now known as The Met, the theatre reopened in December 2018, after a complete renovation, as a concert venue. It is managed by Live Nation Philadelphia.Built over the course of just a few months in 1908, it was the ninth opera house built by impresario Oscar Hammerstein I. It was initially the home of Hammerstein's Philadelphia Opera Company, and called the "Philadelphia Opera House". Hammerstein sold the house to the Metropolitan Opera of New York City in 1910, when it was renamed. The Met used the theatre through 1920, after which various opera companies used the house through 1934. For over five more decades it remained in constant use in turn as a movie theater, a ballroom, a sports venue, mechanic training center, and a church. The building then fell into serious disrepair and was unused and vacant from 1988 until 1995, when it became the "Holy Ghost Headquarters Revival Center at the Met". The church stabilized much of the building, eventually paving the way for the latest renovation of the opera house in 2017–2018. The opera house has been included in the National Register of Historic Places since 1972.

Parkway Center City Middle College is a historic vocational school located in the Callowhill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was built in 1925–1927 and is a brick building in the Academic Gothic-style. Prior to its current status Parkway Center City Middle College was known as Parkway Center City and was located at 1118 Market Street. The school served as a division of the former Parkway Program, a school without walls program. Also, this building was the former Stoddart-Fleischer Junior High School and later Middle School until it closed in June 2003. Parkway Center City Middle College is the first high school in Pennsylvania to present intellectuals with the possibility of finishing high school with a high school diploma and an associate degree. Working in partnership with the Community College of Philadelphia, our students are given unparalleled access to dual enrollment classes, with a maximum of 61 college credits available to some scholars throughout their high school careers. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as the Helen Fleischer Vocational School.

Benjamin Franklin High School is a public high school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school, located north of Center City, is a part of the School District of Philadelphia. Franklin serves sections of North Philadelphia and Center City. Franklin is a mostly African American school. In the late 1960s, there was a student-led effort to rename the school in honor of recently slain Malcolm X. This effort officially failed, but some students still refer to the school by this name.Around 2005, Franklin began housing a charter school catering to Chinese Americans. In addition, as part of an international studies academy, it added Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language for study in 2005. The new international studies focus attracted 40 new students from the Chinatown area.

Spring Garden School is a public K-8 school in the Poplar neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a part of the School District of Philadelphia. The historic school building originally housed Spring Garden School No. 2. It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1930–1931. It is a three-story, 16 bay orange brick building in the Art Deco-style. It features corbelled brick pilasters with capitals adorned by floral motifs and a caged rooftop play area.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.The Spring Garden attendance boundary includes a portion of the Center City District just north of the traditional boundary of Center City. Residents zoned to Spring Graden are zoned to Benjamin Franklin High School. As of 2016 over 70% of students who graduate from Spring Garden instead go to special admission and magnet schools such as Bodine High School for International Affairs, Carver High School for Science and Engineering, Constitution High School, Parkway High School, and Philadelphia High School for Girls.
